My kids absolutely love Chairville. I find the teachers to be outstanding, caring and go out of their way to make all the kids feel welcome. My daughter loves the stem program and the hands-on learning that she gets in Mrs. Masters class. I am amazed that she talks at dinner about being a chemical engineer, how cool! My daughter has some medical needs and Mrs. Conway the school nurse is so reassuring and makes it a point to keep me in the loop of how my daughters day is going. This is truly a special school and I highly recommend it!!

where to begin. Medford as a town is a bit odd. So its no surprise that the school is a bit odd too. Having lived in affluent areas and middle class areas of NY PA NJ I have to say the office staff can be rude, they say hi sometimes or briefly with out making eye contact. Staff unless they know you from the 1970s, have no desire to engage in small talk much less a hello. People here are known to associate with a small click. There are exceptions, but few and far inbetween. Dont move here alone or unless you have tons of family here. Bring a tribe you will need it. Some of the kids are very nice but, and i am sure this is with most schools, but many of the kids are picking up on the Medford Town clicky rude bossy behavior and bullying of the parents and in many ways is ignored or over looked. They state core values but if the kid goes in with out them then they leave without them. I find the kids that are respectful have parents that are. Oh if you are not born here or deep in the circle of stepford moms do not go to any events as few if any will make eye contact or God forbid say hello. there is only a sense of community if you are some how sworn into the small town. The moms i am friendly with and the school friends my son and daughter have made while attending this school are not from Medford but moved here because, well it seems safe and quiet. For community and a sense of belonging St Marys even if not Catholic is your safest best or St Joan of Arc. My kids now go to St Marys and moms say hi , office staff is friendly, kids are taught values and they are reinforced. If your kid is nice, friendly, good hearted, kind, likes to share, be careful as some of the kids, i mean little ones 6 7 8 are Bossy yell and dont like to share so its a melting pot. for the school to be less weird the town will have to someday be too... Good Luck .... PS neighborhoods well that is another post lol

I wrote a review on this site before, but since my opinion isn't the same as everyone else's, they had it removed. That's the big problem with this school, if you don't have the same opinion as everyone else, it must be wrong. I was always told people are entitled to their own opinion, but apparently not at this school. Fit in with the crowd or go to another school!

Chairville is a great school with great teachers! And I agree Mr. Potter is an incredibly dedicated and caring teacher! He truly cares about each and everyone of his students and reaches out to parents to celebrate successes or to give helpful suggestions. The teachers at Chairville are top notch.

Chairville has a phenomenal teacher in Mr. Potter. My children love him, and more importantly, he got them to love learning. He uses humor to engage his students, and works tirelessly to provide each child with the attention they need and deserve. In a time where so many teachers are accused of "teaching to the test," Mr. Potter somehow finds a way to teach these kids to be good people while learning the necessary test information along the way.

I have been extremely pleased with Chairville. I moved here 6 years ago and I was so nervous for my kids to start a new school. The staff is amazing. The education is top notch. The school doesn't tolerate any bullying and they correct any issues right away. They always have an open ear. I am especially impressed with one of the teachers, Mr. Potter. He is truly one of the best teachers at the school. He makes learning fun. My child loves going to school. He goes above and beyond with any issue that my child has had. My child has a rare medical issue and he took it upon himself to learn all about it! Not only that, but he sent me an email about my child pointing out all the positives and reassuring me that this does not define her. Thank you so much for all your do! I wish we all could experience a teacher like this!

This school is too clicky. Parents start teaching their kids at a very early age to be complete snobs.

I have 3 kids in this school now with my oldest about to graduate. Having been through all of the grades a few times with my kids I can say that I have been very satisfied with every teacher we have had and we have had most of them! It was very sad to see good teachers eliminated due to budget constraints, especially Mr. Bell our instrumental music teacher. Kind of dissapointing that a great school like Chairville would have eliminated instrumental music when surrounding districts found a way to save their music programs. This is the only reason it receives 4 stars instead of 5.
