My daughter loved her HHS experience. Many of her classmates went onto college at top 25 - 50 schools and elite schools such as Ivies and equivalent. You get back from the school as much as you put in. Take AP classes, participate in class and extra curriculars (or hold a part time job) and you'll get into a good to great college

EXCELLENT SCHOOL SYSTEM. Love the teachers. My son graduates this year He was accepted into one of the top colleges. Thank you to all the teachers for

My son goes to Hightstown High. This is a great school with wonderful and well qualified teachers. Teachers are really dedicated and provide lot of opportunities for students to prove themselves. Students care for each other and the environment is very collaborative with an aim to always achieve higher. Peer motivation is very high.

My child is a sophomore .Great School . Teachers are dedicated and caring. Environment is conducive to learning and there are plenty of opportunities for students who want to excel.

I have one daughter who just graduated from HHS and one that is going to be a sophomore. This is a great school where all staff care a lot about the students. I am a very educated person who cares about getting a good education for my kids and HHS is a excellent school

I attended from 2008 to 2010. Bullying runs rampant here, and nothing is done. For me it ranged from name calling to food being thrown at me at a football game. The last straw came when the police raided my home over a false rumor that someone had started out of boredom, and I wound up dropping out of school to earn my GED. And I firmly believe that dropping out was probably the best educational decision I ever made. Bullying aside, the teachers are incompetent and spend more time writing students up for stupid offenses than actually teaching. And in one of the humanities classes, the teachers think it's okay to play a "game" that from what I understand meets state definitions of corporal punishment; if students break any of the predefined rules, they can be made to stand against the wall in uncomfortable positions. When this was reported to administration and subsequently nipped in the bud, I was pulled into the hall and lectured by the teacher for being the one who spoke up. Then he tried to do it again the following year and got mad when I told the Vice Principal. I implore any parents reading this never to send their child to the school. You will only regret it.

Im a sophmore and I have been to five high school's since freshman year. This one is by far the most poorly run.

Racist and very little support for anyone here. Just be friends with administrators to have your kids treated nicely, otherwise, don't expect good things.

I have been a student at HHS for the last 3 years and have loved it. The key to the school is to get involved and put effort into your work. The course selection is excellent and teachers really care about their students. HHS is a very unique place full of diversity and opportunity. Having taken all honors classes, I truly feel ready to apply to college and feel confident in my studies. I feel lucky to go to HHS and so should others

Sad to see this school be rated so high. As a former student the school is based off mediocrity and assists other achieve it while ignoring the advanced students who need the help. With all bad teachers aside, there is only one teacher i consider an actual teacher that is able to teach. I would have no complaints if the guidance department did their job to help me get into the colleges. They refused to send transcripts and even when they did they were not sent properly. Because of this problem my application was not reviewed in time and was automatically rejected by the time the guidance department realized their mistake. Who would be satisfied if you are to be at a top tier college but your limit is at the mercy of the guidance department that do not want you to succeed.

Half of the teachers at this school have no idea what theyre doing. It ashames me that I attend this horrible school.

My student went here in the 2009-2010 school year. It seems that the teachers are ok and do care about the students. There was a language barrier however, since half the school speaks Spanish. The teachers did speak English, but some where still hard to understand due to their accent, which is not their fault. My only concern was after school if a female student missed the bus and needed a ride, they could do a "favor" for the guy who had a car. I tried to write this as tastefully as I could without breaking the rules here at Great Schools. I hope I did ok. I wrote this for the parents of the students who go here, and hope this is no longer an issue.
