I would not recommend this school based on our overall experience.

Learning: The quality of learning has been very disappointing. Lessons often feel unstructured, and there seems to be little effort to challenge students or provide meaningful feedback. My child frequently comes home confused about what was taught and rarely receives clear guidance on how to improve.

Teaching: Many teachers appear overwhelmed and disengaged. Communication about my childs progress has been inconsistent, and when concerns are raised, they are often minimized or brushed aside. There are a few caring teachers, but overall, the level of support, respect, and motivation is far below what we expected.

Social-emotional support: The school does not do enough to support students mental health and emotional well-being. Bullying and social conflicts are not handled quickly or effectively, and there are limited resources for students who are struggling emotionally. Students who need extra care often fall through the cracks.

Special Education: Support for students with disabilities has been especially troubling. Services and accommodations are delayed or inconsistently provided, and there is a lack of clear communication with families about plans and progress. It does not feel like the school truly understands or prioritizes the needs of students who require special education.

Safety: I do not feel that this school consistently provides a safe environment. Incidents of disrespect, bullying, and disruptive behavior are not always addressed firmly or transparently. There is also a lack of visible follow-through when safety concerns are reported, which makes it hard to trust that issues are being taken seriously.

Family engagement: Family engagement is weak. When parents reach out with questions or concerns, responses are often slow, brief, or defensive. There are few genuine opportunities for families to collaborate with the school, and decisions that affect students are frequently made without meaningful input from parents.

Overall, we are very disappointed and believe that the school requires significant improvements in learning, teaching quality, student support, and communication with families before we can recommend it to others.

I have 2 children that we came to ECS last year after having a not so great experience at another school. ECS has been an amazing transition. The teachers and administration are awesome and we are so happy all around with the new enviroment for the kids. Overall, it is a great school and we are so glad we made the change.

The special education team at Eastampton Community School is a collaborative team that works with families and students to create free and appropriate public education. The faculty at the school are phenomenal and work to make each day a fantastic day for learning.

My son just completed KG and he absolutely loved going to school, his teachers, lessons and the special things that would be going on. We are happy to be a part of the ECS community!

As a Parent of a 4th grader and 7th grader at this school, I feel that my children are learning the correct things. However, there are some teachers or aides who are unprofessional and very rude when dealing with students. My daughter comes home
sad on occasion due to being yelled at and embarrassed by her teacher. On one occasion she misplaced her agenda book and could not find it she was so afraid that her teacher would yell at her that she was refusing to go to school. I emailed the teacher and never got a response from her when I asked her for assistance to help my daughter get on the right page. Also my son was failing math very badly and instead of the teacher taking the time to figure out what teaching method would assist my child, he was referred to be tested for a disability. My child stated that he didn't like math because of the teacher and he was afraid to ask for help when needed due to being yelled at. Teachers dont get reprimanded for their actions like students do. Lastly my child went to her brothers locker to meet him at the end of the school day and was screamed at by an aide. Instead of the aide asking her why she was in the 7-8th grade hallway(which she goes there everyday) she yelled at her and threatened to write her up. I feel that some of these teachers are unhappy with their jobs and they need some more training to deal with children.

As far as teaching materials, the school is good. However, there are some teachers or aides who are unprofessional and very rude when dealing with students. This school seems to have a teacher code where you are not allowed to know who is involved with your children. No incident report is made. Teachers dont get reprimanded for their actions like students do. If there is an investigation, staff just addresses what they heard and take the teachers word over students about incidents reported. There is also a lot of bullying especially on the bus. The school is k-8th grade. So, they are all mixed ages together which creates sometimes an unsafe environment for younger students. Some of the rules are ridiculous as well. If a student takes money to school to buy a snack in the lunchroom, the cafeteria does not return the change. They put it all in their student account which leaves the students disappointed if they want the rest of their money back.

This chool has a lot of bullying and blame put on certain students. Some of the people who run the school hold grudges for things a student has done years prior. They are judgemental of the students and their families and try to make important decisions for a student even when the parents who know them the best disagree. Some of the teachers are great and others are not. I don't feel my kids learned what other kids their age have learned due to the hostile setting at the school.

From poor leadership by the administration, to poor stewardship from the School Board, this school has been a disappointment. This school has no culture, they have a Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying problem that is exacerbated by the poor leadership of the superintendent, against white students. This school continues to stay closed and claim that its due to health officials direction, while Timothy Christian Academy is open across the street. There are teachers that care and advocate for students however, they are intimidated and bullied by the admin and threatened to be team players or there will be repercussions. Bottom line, if you're planning on moving here for ECS, I'd look some place else. Rancocas Valley is the only reason we're here and if we could we'd move because of the lack of support for students at ECS. They are a failed school, with awful leadership, absent school board, and poor to no effective culture.

I do not know this one honestly, because my two children have not told me about bullying. When I ask them about it, they say that yes, there are some bad kids, but that the teachers handle it.

Exceptional! This school is all I have known (my daughter started here and is now in third grade. and my son started last year) but it has been exactly what I was hoping for for my kids. They have both had great teachers, the administration takes security of the children very seriously, and I often see the principal standing outside in the mornings greeting each and every child that arrives. My children are reading very well for their ages, excelling in math, and have an excitement for STEM. I give the credit to this school! This is a small school with a close-knit community feel and as a military family, we love that we can be welcomed and that our children can thrive in such an environment!
