The students at this school are so ridiculously violent and the way they all vape and stink up the bathrooms is beyond me. Im not trying to walk into a cloud when using the bathroom. some teachers have unfair advantages for others and also do not teach at a level that helps students actually prepare to graduate.

My experience is so bad that i plan on getting a good job so i can afford to join school board meetings, and influence them to see whats truly going on within their school. I see bad teachers, gang members, security guards paying blind eyes. I dont ever see a teacher making an effort to push their students to be smarter. Ive basically been on my own for the past 3 years of being in this school yet ive had over a dozen teachers.

In a New York Times article titled "How to get students back in school", it was noted that New Mexico is one of the worst states in the nation for school closures. We are already at the bottom of the nation for education quality. Keeping the schools closed will only make it worse.

Alamogordo High School provides many Opportunities to gain skills that take children to a higher education . MESA , Film production , Hotel Restaurant management , Early childhood development to name a few prepare our kids for rewarding career paths . The staff is friendly caring and willing to listen to help students achieve their goals . We are a military family lived all over the USA and other countries . This is a unique school district for success in higher learning . My complaint is the parents are lax and do not get involved in their schools or attend meetings but are the first ones to cry fowl without an understanding of policy changes or dress code enforcement . If parents want a voice they need to get involved in their kids education actively participate. this opinion is based solely on personal experience being an active parent in parent groups at the school .

Alamogordo high school really does suck the teachers don't really care for the students and it's very easy to get in to trouble and they seem not to care for you kid .. If I were you don't send you kid here, you don't want them to fail in life.

Alamogordo High School has been a bad experience for my kids. Caring teachers but completely disrespectful principal. This school does not support activities many were cut for next year such as music and choir. School admin doesn't think it is important for children's educational needs. The Directors of schools and Curriculum were no help either. When was the last time anyone at the district office was in a classroom? Thankfully, my husband has orders to move and our two children will no longer have to go to AHS.

My son went to AHS and he liked it & didn't get in trouble. This school has a lot to offer and lots to do. However, each child has decisions to make; good or bad choices; and most of the time they set their own path. As parents, we just hope we've laid good values and the rest is up to them.....we just need more parents to get involved as our children continue to mature.

Terrible school !!! This Highschool don't care about the students ! No one cares when your child have problems ! They don't even listen to parents. It was better a couple of years ago with a different principal. But since 2010/2011 it's getting worse... BEWARE of this school and the "system" they have !
