The teachers are Not educators. The teachers are messy gossipers. The current principle is messy and laugh at all the complaints. The teachers watch the kids bully and agrue with one another. NOT a good charter school at all.

This was a good school until like 2015. I haven't gone here in three years but it was a terrible school back then so I would have to assume it's worse now. Don't send your kids here it's just not worth it.

My son got a rash and was sent to the nurses office. Never once was I called to be notified about this. My child let me know after I asked him what happened to his arm. The nurse put lotion on it. My son has eczema and can’t use just any lotion.

Horrible! I can’t wait to take my kids out. The school was on lockdown today and I didn’t get a notice until the kids were out of school. My daughter had to text me. And they still won’t let us know what happened. They keep calling it an incident. We as parents deserve to know what incidents happen at our kids school. The location is also very dangerous. I was told by my daughter that kids sneak out to the gas station. I want to know where the teachers are when this happens.

I don't recommend your child attending this school. It's disorganized and leadership is whack. Also, one of my friends who used to work there wasn't treated right and was let go for no apparent reason.

We have had consistent positive experiences with our teachers, 3 years in a row. One teacher did have cancer and left mid-year and some other changes last year caused a change in teachers but the school handled it efficiently and communicated with parents at all times.

The school is in debt. A Receiver had to get involved because of it. They haven't paid rent at any of the campuses since last October.

My child was not happy at their Torrey Pines campus. She got bullied and so did the children of a lot of the other parents I knew. When I contacted her teacher about it, he did not seem concerned about it.

Middle school does not have electives. The campus does not have a library. The writing teacher's website was full of grammatical errors and run on sentences.

Torrey Pines campus is overcrowded, full of portables. Due to the financial situation, there's no sign of a campus build out being completed.

This was the shadiest school we've ever been too. Kept us in the dark about the school closing all year! Almost didn't have time to get my kids in another charter school. No communication ever! Do NOT start at the Torrey Pines campus! You will regret it, trust me!

My daughter has had an exceptional experience at this school, so much so that she will be continuing on to third grade here in the fall! The staff is caring and competent!! The teachers are extremely dedicated and inspiring. Parent involvement is above an beyond the norm. The OLD principal is gone....The NEW principal is GREAT!!! Submitted by a parent

I have 2 boys in Quest Robertson Campus- you can only dream about school and teachers like this one. My older son graduated last year from quest, and younger one still attending.Very carrying teachers and amazing principal Ms Mahina. Those teachers not only teach, they put their hearts in to the students.Amazing,and very dedicated teachers. Thank you to ALL of them for being here for my children.

The bullying is a huge problem. The sad part is the parents are the ones saying mean things about other students to their child...then their child goes to school, tells the other students and they gang up on one kid.

I was not at all impressed with Quest.

The parents being the largest factor of a child's growth. Had the mentality of the children and my daughter would come home telling me the awful things that other parents would say about the other students to their child. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree because this school has a lot of bullying.

The school asks you to download an app to keep up with what is going on daily at the school...and does not use it. Instead your email is blown up by 8-10 individual emails a day. Making it difficult for the working parent to address the important emails directly from the teacher about your child.

I noticed other second graders still were unable to write and spell (on an iPad) some of the most simple words that are required for a 1st grader to spell.

The focus of education seemed to be more about the fund raisers for the school.

Pick up and drop off was chaotic, unorganized and there was little regard for implementing safety first and ensuring a child's seat belt was buckled before screaming at parents to hurry and move.

I am really not surprised that the test scores are so low. I am surprised it has earned the label of being a charter school.

The ONE good thing I have to say is Mrs. Christensen is an amazing teacher, she cares, is thorough and really takes her time with each student. Coach Rama was amazing as well. That said a school that is as over populated as Quest...2 teachers that are amazing, is not enough.

Mrs. Christensen was an amazing teacher. However, the school is over populated and there is a lot of bullying. My daughter would come home and tell me about parents saying negative thing about other children..to their children. The parents are a big factor to schooling as well and should not be mentally as old as their children and embed mean things into a child's head. I guess that is why the saying is the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

The school has you download an app on your phone to be alerted on what is going on daily within the school...yet never uses the app. Instead you get your email blown up with (i counted in 1 day) over 10 individual emails. Leading by example also means following through.

I noticed some of my daughter's friends in the second grade could barely spell simple words. The parents are worried about all the wrong things. i.e. speaking poorly about children rather than their own child's education. I will add that those students were not in the same second grade classroom with my daughter.

I am not surprised the test scores are so low. to be completely honest.

This was our first year attending Quest Academy. As the school year comes to an end I have nothing but love for the teachers at the Montecito Campus. The entire staff at this school have been very friendly, encouraging, and always helpful. Ms. Epstein has been a blessing in my child's life. She is caring, compassionate, and strives to help her students succeed in all things educational. I can not say enough great things about Ms. Epstein. She is A+++ in my book. .
It is sad to see the school year come to end, but we look forward to relocating to a brand new Quest campus in the fall. I can only hope that all the teachers will be heading to the new campus as well. Thank You Quest for making this a positive year for my children and I.

We've been in the Quest Charter for a couple years K and 1st. I would give the school a good rating. Our child is pretty low-maintenance, so we do not have a lot problematic interactions with admins. I haven't heard anything from others upset with handling of anything. Generally I feel a good effort is being made by all concerned. They've chosen a bigger location which is a plus all around for next year.. I believe any parent would find favor with 1st grade teacher Ms. Jeanne Epstein. She takes all daily cycles in stride and keeps the atmosphere positive and stress -less so learning can happen. Our daughter has been high honors for the first three quarters, so it's working. Mrs. Epstein communicates well and is flexible. She gets it.

I have a kindergartener at the Monecito Campus and I have been mostly pleased with the school year. Our teacher is excellent and brings compassion and energy to the classroom. She differentiates in kindergarten, which many teachers do not. Her dedication to her students is unsurpassed. The school itself has a family feel and nice activities like a spelling bee, international night, and festivals. Every staff member knows my child and is friendly and engaging. Both principals are welcoming and have an open dialogue with parents. I think the curriculum for kindergarten is slow in reading and writing, but my teacher provides additional enrichment. Class sizes are too large for low grades, but the administration committed to a reduction for subsequent years. I was displeased with the last minute increase in class size and the decision to not hire aides for kindergarten. However, I am delighted that my kindergartener is in a full day program with specials. Her education is greatly enriched by library, art, and music. The librarian supplements their education with wonderfully enriching activities. The art teacher is passionate about teaching the arts and coordinates with the curriculum.

My daughter is a kindergarten at the Alexander campus and she loves it there. The three teachers at this campus are excellent! The communication on when events are happening and what they needs for events can be worked on but my child is thriving in this environment.

I've been going to Quest prep for two years now, I'm a sophomore. I've never been in a more chaotic and disorganized school in my life. Many of the staff talks down to students, they claim to have this "safe haven" because it's a small school. Nope, they treat us like cattle, all the same. I have little connection with most my teachers. I'd rather attend public school. I don't recommend Quest for children who have a hard time paying attention/need a connection with a teacher because they make little effort towards the students.

This is my child's first year at Quest (Montecito campus). The communication from the administration has been woefully lacking. We met the teacher (who was only hired a week previous) for 10 minutes at the Back to School night, never had a tour of the school, never met any of the administration, and received little information about the first day. The start date was pushed back two weeks at the last minute and extended into the middle of June. Each student received an ipad or laptop for school work. Yet my child, three weeks in, hasn't had a single homework assignment or class that used the technology. There seems to still be a lot of disorganization. I don't understand how they can't retain teachers. The class sizes are just as large as CCSD and honestly, I haven't seen a better education. I'm hoping that the year will get better. But from other reviews I've read, it seems parents have been hoping for this for some time. It would be great if Quest could get their act together and really be a benefit to the kids!

I have two sons that attend Quest Academy. My older son started Quest Prep the 1st year the high school opened (12/13) and the 1st semester was very rough due to certain administrators - namely the principal. When Mrs. Roberson took over as the principal the 2nd semester, things changed for the better. I feel that she is professional & dedicated to making Quest Academy the best it can be. Both of my sons enjoy going to school here. I want my children to get a good education & have a safe environment to learn in. I feel that Quest provides that for them. The sports programs are just starting out, but it gives the students an opportunity to play and be a part of a team. I have not had any problems with any of my children's teachers - they have been open to communication. I personally feel the high turnover in regards to teachers was due to the prior administration. I think Quest Academy has a great amount of potential to be a really good school.

So far it's going ok in Kinder at Alexander. Not sure the learning is ther just yet but the good teaching stafford just getting situated. Coming from Chalenger this has been different. Not as structured or strong in education so far. We have confidence and believe things will get figured out as time goes on. We have just started our third year at Quest. Surprisingly, there was a huge turn over with teaching staff and administration this year. We had expected to see quite a few if the same familiar faces in staff but that hasn't been the case. As a parent, I have been impressed with the professional demeanor of my kids' teachers but have some overall concerns regarding feeling like a stranger when I walk thru the doors of a school we have been attending for three years now. Hoping for a good school year and will stay in communication with the teachers as well as attempt to become acquainted with the new administration.

My child has been attending this school for the last four years and will be starting his fifth year in a couple of weeks. We have been through the ups and downs with this school, but the one thing that has remained consistent is the dedication that the teachers and staff have to the children. The new administration and board have done an excellent job of being very open and honest with the parents about plans and the changes that need to occur to get the school back on course so that the children get the best educational experience possible. I highly recommend Quest.

my school is quest academy and i'm in 8th grade i know some of the sites says that quest academy is the worst they are wrong i am in that school i started officialy last year and it was amazing and you should take an kid advice from that school that is me and i really do like this school all the teacher are challenging and really they do the best they can on me. this was the best school last year and i'm really looking forward for this year i was really emotional when i left cause i really didn't want to left my friends and teacher this school has the best students ever.

My children attended this school for the 2013-2014 school year. By far one of the worst decisions I have made. This school does NOTHING about bullying going on in the school. They allow children to keep attending who have been in several fights and who have behavioral problems. I was very excited to have my children attend and at the end only realized what a mistake. I pulled my children out before the end of the school year. The administration is also very unprofessional and rude. The only good thing about this school is some of its teachers, which sadly many are leaving.

What a disappointment this school has been this past year. The whole administration and board were new to their positions due to the shake down that occurred in the prior school year and it was overwhelmingly obvious. So disorganized and chaotic - I did not get a sense of security having my child there. The curriculum may be more advanced than a "typical" Clark County School District school, but I seriously doubt it. And the fund raisers - Holy Cow - there's at least one fundraiser each and every month on top of added costs for anything and everything. There's no way my kid is going back to this school.

The school needs serious improvements. Some of the teachers and staff need training on how to professionally address problems with the parents. The staff and some of the teachers are very rude and not kind at all. This type of behavior rubs off on to the children that attend their school. The quality level of education and curriculum is very weak. They serious need to improve on their curriculum and teaching style. They address that they involve the parents but this is nothing but a lie! They don't want parents to get involved so they lie and make up stories so that the parents can't get involved in their child school activities.

This school is not as it seems. The school lectures students on bullying against each other which is a good point, but they fail to implement this in their own orderly conduct as staff members. The staff members at the school are bullies. This includes some of the teachers and support staff. Be warned that they play favoritism and single out children that they don't like. They bully these children and try to knock down their self-esteem and spirits. The staff also sticks together by lying to cover up their wrong doing. Do your homework if you decide to send your children to this school. There are far better 4-star charter schools that are much better than this school.

This school is PHENOMENAL. My children have excelled because of the teachers and staff at Quest. The BEST decission I ever made was putting them into this school and taking them our of CCSD. The class sizes are great, the teachers are motivated, dedicated and certified to teavh my kids. The Administrator is AMAZING and cares about each kid and family individually. There is no politics or fighting. The Governng Board has made so many good and positive changes that can't be listed. There is a sense of excellence and devition towards the school succeeding as a whole. I love listening to the Governing Board meetings now because they have tried very hard to make this look like a 5 STAR school, and they are. The website is better, they broadcast the meetings via the internet and they keep making the right moves and changes. Quest just announced some growth that sounds very good for middle school and high school kids. And I hear they may be moving around the valley. This is a good thing also. TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE! ITS THE BEST SCHOOL EVER!

I have a 7th grader, a 6th grader and a kinder student at Quest. They all love the school and the teachers! The PTO is very involved and there are so many activities and school functions for the kids to participate in. I would definitely recommend Quest!!

This will be my daughter's 2nd year at Quest. She will be in 7th grade. She loves all of her teachers. I find that a smaller school setting helps her learn more without even realizing it. The class sizes mirror CCSD, but with only 600 kids in K-8 it makes for a much better learning experience. They focus not only on academics, it focus on life learning. I am very happy with Quest and plan to send her through High School.

This school is a really good school with good teachers and administrators. What previous reviews failed to mention, the kindles and other gifts were given out as Christmas gifts, rewards for attendance, and for the less fortunate. My child was a student who receive one of these gifts. You will read in the media all the information, however as we know media never tells the full story in order to get high ratings. They never talked to.any of the parents of the children who received gifts. This school is and will continue to be a very good school. The principal is very caring and always goes the extra mile to help our children.

FIND A DIFFERENT CHARTER. The teachers in this school are wonderful, especially the kindergarten teachers. As of the principal and other administrative they are just cruel and horrible. The Principal embezzled $15K, took the school credit cards and fundings and bought personal things and christmas presents such as kindles, DVDs, video games, etc. There has been harsh environment in the school. They have proof of all these allegations. I do not want my child in this environment no longer. The staff and the principal try to bribe you to be on there side. This school is all over the news if you want to read further.

My son has been with this school since they were with Imagine. The teachers have always been great. The school has been great up until now. The principal (Connie Jordan) has been found by the state to have broken laws and embezzled money from the school with the board leader's (Christina Fuentes) help. Those that have spoken up against the principal have been fired, forced to quit or put on leave. The state has recommend that Connie Jordan and Christina Fuentes resign or the school will most likely lose it's charter.

When I reviewed this school last year, I gave it 5 out of 5. Not so this year. The teachers are still wonderful, but the administration has ruined the school. They opened the new high school and all of the focus is there. The teachers are under so much pressure from administration and are afraid for their jobs most of the time. The principal fired a teacher in my son's classroom in front of the entire class, during class, for turning in her two week notice. The principal has gone into classrooms and interrogated students, including my son, demanding answers in writing, as to what other teachers have 'said about her'. Discipline, which used to be swift and fair, is none existant. When the teachers try to discipline certain students, the principal blocks them from doing so and revokes the discipline that was placed. I am heartbroken that the school my son loved has been destroyed.

The teachers in this school are so dedicated and caring. The communication between myself and my child's teacher was unlike any other! I always felt comfortable and knew that my child was not an unknown face in the crowded halls of the public school system. This school is its own little community, where my child, and all students are well known members. I love it.

My child attended when the school was Imagine in the Valle. Now that they have broken away from Imagine, I'm sure it's even better. Extremely caring principal, teachers and school board. Unfortunately, there is a great deal of time spent on CRT prep that, I feel, should be spent on educating the children, instead. I feel the language arts curriculum could be more interesting & educational than sample test materials. That being said, I understand there is great pressure for a public charter school to perform well on the CRT's. The teachers are GREAT teachers and dedicated to the school's success and the well-being of all children. Bullying is not tolerated and immediately addressed at the highest level. The school board is very dedicated and deserves a huge amount of respect for standing up to Imagine Scools Inc and having the bravery to go out on their own. Obviously, what's best for the children is their priority. I hope they now take this freedom to be more innovative in their choices of curriculum. My child loved everything about this school and every staff member. I'm sorry we left for a school closer to home.
