Let me just begin to say time has definitely changed with teachers compared to when I was in school. Initially I thought this school was great, but the way these teachers are is beyond frustrating. My kid dreads getting up every morning to deal with his teacher every day & when I attempt to address it no response. I dislike this for my kid I really do. CCSD is terrible!

I believe Bozarth is one of the best schools in the district. The principal, VP, staff and teachers are all awesome and I must also mention that the PtO is great as well. My children are thriving at this school and we love Bozarth. I highly recommend this school!

I have had all of my children attend this school for over a decade and have had nothing but great things to say until the 2024-2025 school year when they acquired a new Vice Principal. This administrator cared more about demeaning students rather than guiding them to be upstanding individuals. It is the role of an adult in an educational environment to support children, especially when in a leadership position. This person chose to isolate, segregate, and humiliate. Like prior reviews stated, no action is taken if your child is consistently mistreated by other students. The cheerleading team is led by one particular Bozarth instructor who verbally accosts children outside of their “squad”. The drama club stars only the children of the PTO parents and staff, which is also spearheaded by educators at this institution. If your child attends this school, you will be pleased with the education your child receives. Every educator at that school, other than the three mentioned above, are phenomenal. If any issues arise on a personal level with your child, speak with the principal directly as the Vice Principal seems inept at dealing with conflict.

The best Elementary School in Las Vegas, Nevada! It's a family that includes every employee, child and parent. The PTO is very involved and extremely supporting. The school environment is safe, clean, and inviting. The office staff are amazing! The admin are involved in every school day and are not just sitting in their offices....they meet/greet students/parents and give 100% of their day to student success. The school counsellor is exceptional is involved fully with students and staff well being and overall school enjoyment. What a breath of fresh air in one of the largest school districts in the United States.

For all the praise this school got in the community I found it to be average. There are some great teachers and some who shouldn't be there. My child was bullied and watched other students get bullied. This was brought to the attention of the faculty who did nothing. I heard others who had the same experience. Academically it really depends on who the teacher is. At times I had no idea what was going on despite asking repeatedly. The PTO was very cliquey. They did a really good job at fundraising but their personalities left a lot to be desired. The school did a good job celebrating holidays and special occasions. I didn't feel they went the extra mile for my child academically. It was always the same kids winning awards and getting all the praise. The school is not five stars like advertised. Overall the school gets a passing grade but they could improve in many areas.

Bozarth admin is completely terrified of the word "bully," and you send them into panic attacks if you even mention the word. Totally ineffective at actually dealing with the problem.

It's a fine school and they teach very well. But anything else you would expect them to do -- baseline skills like showing tact, proportionality, or curiosity -- is lost on them. I would recommend the school because they educate well, but you have to be very engaged to make sure everything else is being done properly.

Bozarth teachers get the job done. My child learns what he needs to learn and does it well. I give Bozarth a lot of credit for that.

Posted: August 5, 2018

Respect for authority is really the only value that Boazrth teaches. But I don't expect or want a school to be teaching my child values.

Posted: August 5, 2018

Leadership has been better since Principal McGuire took over, but generally the school's reactions to commonplace social situations involving kids (e.g., personal conflicts that happen every day) are far, far overblown and require a lot more time and energy than they should.

Posted: August 5, 2018

Bozarth pretty consistently takes a "my way or the highway" approach to kids who learn differently. If your child stands out in any way, prepare yourself for some long conversations administration.

I have been very happy with my childrens' teachers and their experience at Bozarth but dealing with the front office staff is a different story. Upon entering you are made to feel like you are an annoyance and they are not helpful at all.

I have had 8 children in CCSD. This school, is by far the BEST school I have every experienced. They have so many activities available for all the kids. Most cost nothing. Some minimal. I have never seen a school try to enhance the students as much as Bozarth does. There is so much they do to make learning fun for your child. And afterall, isn't that what makes them want to learn?

We are heading into our 3rd year. So far it's been a great school. It was the school that recognized that my child needed to be in advanced reading. They are always challenging him to excel. Thank you Mrs Smith and Mrs. Greenwald.

My child attended this school for 4 years. Most of his teachers were pretty good. Mrs. Jones being the best one. Administration is mediocre at best. Won't go into the reasons and rumors because that is all hearsay I suppose.

Typical cliquish PTA. Toss in affiliation with a particular popular religion in the area and there you go.

Of course Clark County school district is one of the worst in the nation (Go ahead and Google). If you are coming from another school in Clark County you will probably be impressed with Bozarth. If you are moving here from out of state that values education, prepared to be completely underwhelmed and most likely disappointed. My son was in the Gifted And Talented program at Bozarth and after moving out of state he is having trouble just keeping up with the basic classroom curriculum.

Everyone in Providence will sing Bozarth's praises and say it's the best school, amazing etc. So make note a Greatschools 8 rating in one state, does not mean it's the same as an 8 in another. It's based on your area only. Check into the national grade rating. Bozarth is a "C" with an 8 rating. Moved out of state and a school with a 4 rating is a "B".

Principals, teachers, staff, and parents works so hard to make everything happen. They are so involved with the children's education. We moved here because of Bozarth ES and home was second priority. Love the school and the community, we sure made the right decision!

Bozarth has numerous amazing teachers. Many of whom have been at the school since it opened.

Posted: May 12, 2016

In the earlier grades, there was a lot of homework, but it leveled out in the higher grades. However, it is important to know that Bozarth was following the CCSD homework guidelines, which recently changed.

It makes me sad to read that people have had a negative experience at Bozarth. I have two children, one in 5th grade that started in kinder and one in 7th that started at Bozarth in 2nd grade. I agree that Mr. Saunders can be tough, but his firm hand is a direct reflection of the success of Bozarth students and staff. My 7th grader was very prepared for the rigor of middle school thanks to the high expectations at Bozarth and I know my 5th grader will be as well. They both participated in many after school activities, some for a cost and some for free.
It is a huge task to run an over crowded school successfully and the staff and admin at Bozarth do it well. Bozarth also has an amazing PTA. All day kinder will be offered district-wide at no cost starting next year.
Mr. Jarvis, the head custodian demands a clean school, which I personally value. With so many bodies in one building, it wouldn't take long for the school to start looking old.
As far as the teachers go, Bozarth has MANY wonderful, dedicated teachers. They are passionate about their jobs and their students.
Bozarth is a wonderful community where student are valued, a love of learning is nurtured, as well as enriched.
Just like anything in life, nothing worth having comes easy, and with education, if you expect greatness, you have to be involved.

I agree with other posts about how horrible administrators treat parents and students. The principal doesn't care about anyone except for making a name for himself. There have been several reports that he mistreats parents and belittles them. As a parent I have been mistreated on several occasions by this man. My son no longer goes to school here thanks to him. How can one man who is in charge of so many students hate them so much.

We have two children attending this school. Our kids love their teachers and they are excited to go to school every morning. That being said, we have two major concerns.
Our first concern is in regards to the front office staff and the janitor who is in charge of opening/closing the gates and parking. They are rude, condescending and unhelpful. They treat us as if we are a nuisance when we ask simple questions.
Our second and more important concern is that they do not offer any "full day" kindergarten classes. I have heard that other schools in CCSD offer full day options, but when we inquired about it we were just shoved off by the above mentioned staff. We pay taxes as we should. Why isn't it "in the budget" to offer full day kinder at the school that we are zoned for? I feel that this is a huge issue that needs to be addressed. My kids are being robbed of their most important year of school. Kindergarten is a fundamental part of a child's development and my kids only get half of it.

WE LOVE BOZARTH! As a parent of 3 kids, our family has been at Bozarth every year since they opened in 2009. 2 have since graduated, 1 is now in High School, 1 now in Middle school, and my youngest is still at Bozarth going into 3rd grade.
I am Humbled to have our children in Bozarth hands! I'll start with the fact that Bozarth has Fantastic teachers!! Teachers who go well beyond teaching. Teachers who genuinely care, work hard for their students, are brilliant & organized, and who take summer classes to get even better every year. Teachers who will be remembered as the years go by. There are no bad teachers at Bozarth either- every teacher is great! You never have to worry who's class you got in, cause they're all great teachers! This is RARE!
I'm Grateful to the Principal, Mr. Saunders who hand picks the phenomenal teachers!! He has got to be a top principal in Vegas!
The fun activity classes and clubs that are offered are awesome! Many of the teachers volunteer to stay late just to offer these after school clubs to our students, Science Kids, Board Game Club, Basketball, and I know there's many more! The front office staff who works long hours, and are so helpful! The school has been kept pristine thanks to the custodial crew. I for one have taken time to get involved at Bozarth in my free time, and I'm glad I did- the behind the scenes I've witnessed at Bozarth... Leaves me full of gratitude! The level of parent involvement is Fantastic, and makes the difference in our community. I wouldn't have my kids anywhere else.. I'm so grateful they've had the Bozarth experience!! If this is your kids school- Congrats!!

I wrote a review last year but it has vanished......your kid will just be a little face lost in a sea of other faces. They dont care. My son would cry beacuse he didnt want to go to school. His teacher would belittle him. The principal doesnt care. We moved.

Being new to LV, this was my first introduction to CCSD. We live .7 miles from the school, so no bus service but it's too far to let our kids walk. Driving students there every day is a ridiculous mess of traffic. The common core is terrible, indoctrination at its worst as with most public schools these days. Class sizes are ridiculously large, approaching 30 kids to one teacher. 6 hours from bell to bell, including lunch, specials, transit time, gives at most 3.5 hours for instruction per day not including time spent dealing with behavior issues. The school is extremely crowded, and hopefully re-zoning after this school year will alleviate that.

This school is the best school that you can ever go to! Great staff! And the education level is off the roof. This is a great high school to begin a bright future!
