My daughter loves her teacher (words out of her mouth) and is very excited to show her progress to her teacher as well as her father and myself. She keeps us informed of what they are doing in the classroom through their homework choices as they reinforce the classroom standards. She has an open door policy through e-mail and ClassDojo and makes herself available to speak after school. Although I have only met a few of the Specials teachers, my daughter is speaks excitedly about what she does in their classrooms so I feel that they are also effective.

I think that the school absolutely reinforces strong character traits and even provides opportunities to build upon them; however I feel that this is the overall job of parents and schools can only be so effective in developing this in students.

From what I see the school is very well organized with clear and effective procedures. Students and staff seem happy to be at work... to me that's a sign of good leadership.

I see that differentiated learning is utilized in the classroom which I feel supports all students; however we haven't had a need for a more individualized education plan.

We as a family absolutely love this school. We love Ms. Tichenor, the Kindergarten teacher and we are amazed at the gains we see our daughter making daily. We hope that in two years when our three year old is ready for Kindergarten the program and Ms. Tichenor will still be there. I must also add that my daughter speaks very highly of her Student Teachers and as parents we love the smaller grouping that results in having them in the classroom. We intend for our Kindergartener to return for the Medical Program when she is in High School.

The students are given a homework packet that allows them to choose from a menu of choices that reinforce the skills they are working on in class. I like that it provides choice and variety; my daughter loves doing it so that's a plus!
