The staff is amazing. You have access to your students school and can volunteer for so many different events. They also have a lot of different sports and clubs. We love ISMV

We changed from a CCSD school to Imagine School at Mountain View. This has been the best change for our daughter. The whole school faculty is amazing. They truly love their students. Even the lunchroom staff is great and knows so many kids by first name. They make school fun and enjoyable. The PTO also puts on lots of fundraising events and gives back to the school so the kids can have parties and fun rewards. The school's communication is great. They also offer a wide range of after school activities including cheer.

My son is in 6th grade with my Dawson’s class.
This is our first year at imagine and we were a little nervous about coming for a few reasons ..
#1 the drive … we live clear across town
#2 the class .. being in one class all day long.
#3 the students (new faces) new teachers
There are also a few other reason…
Anyway..
I’m really impressed with how this school operates and is compassionate about their students .
My son has been doing so good and ms Dawson has been a delight with her teaching my son not only the curriculum but also humility Being a respectful, responsible child .
I appreciate everything this school has to offer my child
And unfortunately this will be his last year here
Due to the school only going up to 6th grade.

God bless

carpool staff are rude and incompetent as hell. The school has it posted on there sign out front of the school saying the carpool times and every day consistently they do not follow those times I calling every single day letting them know that they are letting the next group in the parking lot early which is affecting my time to pick up my daughter since I pick her up on my lunch break and I abide by the rules and times they put out yet they do not . and every day they say they'll do something about it and we are almost to the end of the school year and nothing has been done. They are incompetent and the female crossing guard out front Somethings wrong with her because she is the most incompetent. She's the worst and there's no point for her being there because she doesn't do her job . I pick my daughter up on my lunch break and they give us a set time from when we're allowed to pick our kids up. They even have a posted out front of school and they don't follow their own guidelines they have set forth I was just avoid the school and let me not get started on the field trips is the most unorganized and chaotic thing ever thank God I chaperoned my daughter on her because I'll never let her go again without being chaperoned . And the class rooms are too crowded

I was employed with Imagine Schools at Mountain View and sadly is the reason I do not teach anymore. Admin is not supportive. I had a classroom that was not big enough for fire standards by law because of how small it was. When brought to admins attention I was told my bathroom is included in the square footage (of my closet of a classroom). The law is not followed when it comes to kiddos with special needs. I had five special needs kids in my class, fought for support all year and was given the bare minimum (less than required by law) after a parent threatened to sue half way through the year. I fought long and hard all year for those kids to receive the support that was required by law. And still to this day they haven’t followed proper protocols by law.
After leaving the school I went to check my retirement and the school had taken money out of my check every month and never put it in my retirement account (NVPERS). It has been over a year and I still have not received that money that I worked hard for.
The staff has an amazing way of talking their way out of any problem when it comes to putting on a front for parents. They display the school as being an amazing safe place and it isn’t. Children’s needs are not supported unless you have an overly active teacher who makes pennys fight for them.
I’ve held off on writing this review for almost a year now and I’m sad to say nothing has changed. The principal hasn’t reached out to me once regarding the money stolen from me. I would do intensive research before sending your child to this school, and even more research and serious thought if thinking about being employed by this school.

Our family has had a wonderful experience with this school. My children have attended since first and second grade, and three of them have gone here all the way through sixth grade. My eldest even graduated from this school, which speaks to how long and consistently positive our experience has been.

The staff has always been supportive, caring, and truly invested in my children’s success. In particular, my middle son had an IEP, and the way the school handled it was exceptional. They were attentive, communicative, and genuinely committed to meeting his needs. Because of their efforts, he was able to make incredible progress and was brought up to grade level, which we are so grateful for.

While we are choosing to transition to homeschooling for personal reasons, our decision is not a reflection of the school itself. We have nothing but appreciation for the teachers, staff, and administration, and we will always be thankful for the role they played in our children’s education and growth

This school rates poorly in accomdations for special needs children. There are staff who care, however the ones who don't far outweigh the ones who do. The administrative staff and the schools director were not supportive but rather evade the issues all together.

If you care about the safety of your child and if communication between you and the school is important, DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. We had to pull our children from this school after we have given them so many chances to make things right. My oldest was dealing with bullying in the classroom, not much was done about that. I know two other students were pulled for the same reason. A substitute teacher gave my kindergarten over the counter MEDICATION and did not contact me. When I picked up my child she was extremely drowsy. When I called the front office they were no help at all. The next day my husband and I had to demand to speak to the princible. She assured me she would get to the bottom of what happened and email me. This was a week ago and I haven't heard anything. In that same meeting she told me the paperwork to pull my kids would be emailed as well. That never happed. I had to go up to the school.

Charter schools do not need to hire qualified teachers they literally turned a mom volunteer into my child’s lead teacher.

Posted: July 24, 2019

Posted: July 24, 2019

The teachers are petty and encourage bullying. A child literally tried cutting her wrist in class. Another child dislocated my child’s finger and no one saw anything so nothing could be done.

Posted: July 24, 2019

There wasn’t any productive communication. Most the time my child’s class wouldn’t even get full lessons in class, we would have to YouTube the assignment for instruction.

Posted: July 24, 2019

Horrible! I regret not believing my child sooner. I just couldn’t imagine a teacher could be so horrible to a kid. My advice is if you have to subject your kid to ismv please believe what they tell you regardless how outlandish it may sound

They go above and beyond to help support our community (and others). The best part is, our child loves it here. One of the strongest assists of this school. Modeling good behavior. We can talk all we want but children do what they see and they see the best at this school. Life lessons are learned here. Lessons I want our grandchildren to carry with them fir the rest of their lives. Issues are addressed immediately.

The teacher is disorganized and the principle is unprofessional and not very proactive about ensuring that the faculty is competent enough to be in the classroom teaching kids. My child's report card was altered with another kid's name showing ; after I complained about the teacher not paying attention to my child walk into the car riding line alone (kindergarten).

I believe these attributes are obtained at home first and reinforced at school. The problem is that some kids don't get them at home. It is difficult for teachers to have to teach that in the classroom in addition to the curriculum. Parents please teach your kids these attributes early on 2-5yrs, in your home. Most of us do, but the few that don't are enough to disrupt a classroom.

Posted: October 26, 2016

Posted: October 26, 2016

My child started Kindergarten this year. The curriculum is rigorous and moves very quickly. The school focuses on each individual student and tailors the curriculum to meet the needs of each child. The staff works collaboratively to ensure that students who are ahead or behind are obtaining the necessary lessons to get them ahead. To reinforce lessons, homework is given daily, and a spiral notebook is provided for additional monthly homework, they are turned in at the end of the month. In addition, there are plenty of after school programs like language, cooking, crafts, football, and so on. The PTO is really good at raising funds for the school. There is always something going on to raise funds that go right back into the class rooms. There could be better communication, for instance events are announced on the weekly newsletter, Bloomz, and notices going home (a lot compared to most). The problem is they announce them 1-2 weeks in advance but don't send a reminder a day or two before. For a busy career parent a reminder txt or email the day before would help. The other negative is that Wednesdays are early day release at 12:45pm. The time is used for teacher enrichment (positive) but it take lesson time away from the kids. Perhaps if they would alternate and do one week half the school then the other week the other half, that may work out better. I don't care for the grading system, perhaps they should revert to our traditional A-F grading method; most parents know and are comfortable with. Overall, I have to give the school 4 stars because of their curriculum, staff dedication, numerous events and options for after school even on short days. This is a fairly new school and changes take time to get used to. We will continue here because we see the positive difference in our daughter. A big "Thank You" to all the teachers and the staff who dedicate their life to our children at Imagine!

My oldest son has been going for 4 years to this school. He has learned so much from the great teachers they have. The new principal Dr. Breier has been a great addition to the school. My younger son just started last year and is very happy there. Their curriculum and philosophy is great. It's the same work you would be paying for at a private school. The school really tries to get the families involved and know what's going on in the classrooms. Chris was a great after school Supervisor. However he didn't get laid off! He moved out of state and pursued a different career. Champions is an after school program that is not part of the school. They are not a reflection of how the school is run. I strongly recommend the school!

Posted: May 19, 2016

Very disorganized! My student has had a new teacher to the school every year he has been there. Every year things change and they do not keep parents informed. There is no follow through on progress. The color system for behavior is not kept up, and the parents have to sign but the teacher does not keep the form sent home up to date. Mr. Chris in the aftercare program was the best thing that has ever happened to the school, but they let him go. The kids loved him, and my student was excited about going. Now he hates it, and begs to be picked up early everyday. There is no structure to the program any longer, and he says the people are mean. I would look at other Charter schools before enrolling your child here. This is not the way all Imagine schools are run because I have another student in one in Orlando, Florida, and it is run so much different. She loves it and is learning a lot. Concerned parent.

I highly recommend this school. My child has learned so much. They have full day kindergarten and they have a fantastic system. All the teachers there are wonderful and I will be following them to the new campus even if it's 17 miles away from our home.

My family has been apart of the Imagine team for three years now. Its been a wonderful school. Our new principal is amazing. She is so hands on with the students. She is very involved with ALL events that take place at our school. Just a wonderful person! The teachers are fantastic. I love how they work together to make sure that their students ( our children) have every possible tools they need to succeed. Too me that makes a great school! I live 2 minutes from the Rochelle campus and have no problem driving 22 miles. I can not wait for what the next school year will bring.

We have been with Imagine since it opened. My family has loved the school until this year. We are not pleased with the new administration. There has been quite a large amount of faculty turnover. We have had friends that feel like their children are being bullied out of school by the administration. We also have several friends that work at Imagine who agree the school has gone downhill. When Imagine first started advertising the stated the would be a K-8 charter school which was a big draw to us. They also told us for over three years that they were committed to staying in the southwest area of the valley. Well.........that didn't happen either. They are moving 22 miles north of our home. They haven't followed through with many of their promises. Very disappointing. Very sad that they will be losing some awesome teachers next year due to the move and the new principal. We are glad that our family won't be following them north.

I have a Kindergartner who goes to this school. It is an amazing school! My son loves going to school everyday because he has fun with his classmates and it's wonderful staff. The principal is very much hands on and even takes effort to get to know the parents and students. While the school focuses on character building, I am very much impressed by it's advance curriculum and intense academic program. My son is very lucky to be at Imagine Schools at Mountain View.

Posted: March 4, 2015

i disagree with the first review. Previous administration was aloof and dismissive. The current administration has boosted moral and already made several significant improvements school wide! It's a wonderful school that has exceptional curriculum.

Posted: February 24, 2015

This school is incredible! I've loved working here. The students are great, and they are held to high standards. The teachers and leadership team go above and beyond what is needed for the students.

Posted: November 29, 2014

Unfortunately I've already seen this school go downhill this year after a change in administration. Previous admin was very hands on and involved with the families. This year seems like that isn't important anymore. Also there is a high turnover of faculty. Sad to see so many good teachers leave now. This year just seems to be a huge decline for what was a good school.
