As a currently enrolled student at NVLA, I think this school has more potential. Some teachers try too hard to be students favorites but cant even teach properly. Also, 8 classes in one day? No way. With this many classes and assignments piling up, theres just too much pressure and stress. Why do they expect all these assignments to be turned in by the end of the week?
Ive realized this is the most work Ive ever had in a school year, which is honestly ridiculous. My Spanish 1 teacher recently had a complete crash-out just because some classmates had the same exact answers, and then she skipped an entire overview for a unit test. She even had the audacity to accuse us of copying each other, which is super unprofessionalespecially since she chose to teach online. Its irritating, and no wonder students struggle to get good grades when teachers arent doing their jobs properly. Whats the point of teaching if youre not even going to explain the basics?
Funny enough, the teachers who are new to NVLA seem to be doing a better job than the older ones. And dont even get me started on the students. Why are some of my classmates suddenly calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend when theyve only met online? Thats honestly weird. I expected them to know better, but I guess not. Their parents probably have no idea their child is in a relationship with someone theyve never even met in real life. If that were my child, Id be in disbelief because thats just crazy.
Overall, if youre planning to attend NVLA, dont be surprised by how it isits really disappointing.

This school sucks I have been in this school for a year and they block everything games,music,mostly everything you think of They get you in trouble just to have fun in this school the waste your happiness. the learning is okay but its very hard to get what they are saying

First of all, I want to say that my review has dropped from 5 stars to 2 stars. The reason is simple, their system has become chaotic. Ive really tried, and Im still trying, to give them a chance, but wow
Today (8/7/25), we had online orientation. I expected something more personal, like they used to do, a Google Meet link so parents could join and interact. Instead, we were given a code to join a livestream that kept freezing on our end, and for questions, we had to fill out a Google Form. Seriously, its like they dont even want to interact with parents.
And dont get me started on their communication. They dont even tell parents that we have to reset our passwords every year, not a single reminder! The front desk is just as unorganized; some staff dont even know where to direct you.
At this point, I dont know anymore. This school feels like a slowly sinking ship, and I dont know if I should continue having my kids here.

PE (Personal Fitness and Wellness) II was a total waste of time. The curriculum was "sub-par" and taught no life skills, and did not contribute to the wellness of my student. I would have expected something along the lines of a Peletron or personal trainer online excercise, but it was more about sport facts that could easily be looked up.

NVLA has a great staff that really works hard to engage students. I love being a part of the community at NVLA.

I have been a part of the NVLA leadership team for a year now. After the first year and a half I was so impressed with the talent and dedication of our NVLA teachers that I opted to enroll my own child. My child is thriving at NVLA and has indicated an intention to continue on. My child is excited about learning again and it is all thanks to the staff at NVLA.

Wow are you people in lala land? This place is horrible. I think all they really care about is the money they receive per student. They supposedly support students on IEP'S. LOL not. You have a math teacher that compares 2 classes that one class the kids are struggling and the other ,"A "students and how they are failures. Makes you sound uneducated. That teacher should be encouraging these kids. He would be shown the door. You have students they you mark absent because your online program is messed up and then you send letters to the parents say their child is truant. REALLY? I have 2 grandchildren attending this program and I am livid to say the least about what I see. Ridiculous! Do what you promise these kids and these parents otherwise close up shop! And you ask about harassment. How is that when you have admistrators that don't follow through and a teacher the belittled the students?

This is the "BEST SCHOOL" ever. If you are looking for an online school for your children please register. I'm not an assistant I am a student here, I came here in 7th grade but now I will be in high school next year and I hope the next school I go to is NVLA. #LoveforNVLA
