I was at this school for 4 years and almost every year sucked. The principal doesn't care about us and cares more about his ego as well as his pride more then he cares about his students. Multiple times this school has disappointed me due to its staff thinking they are above everyone else, something not working or broken. The only good quality about it is the JROTC program, which taught me more then any teacher at this school taught me. Almost every teacher there was on their phone and didn't actually teach. If it weren't for the JROTC program I don't think a lot of kids would graduate from this school. This is speaking from a person that has a 4.0 gpa all of their life yet when I came here it dropped. I had to fight with teachers. just to give me the correct grade because they didn't know what they were teaching. Not that this principal would care, spent so much money only to have this school be worse. I'm glad I'm out of this school and don't even want my future children to come back if nothing changes. I pray for the future children of this school.

The school recommended my niece up for expulsion after suspending her because she was defend her cousin when she was assaulted in the PE room by another student with no teachers around. My niece is on a IEP and everyone dropped the ball on her, the principal, assistant principal, IEP department, the teachers. This is a big disappointment. The girl who started the fight because of her IEP it saved her and she was allowed to go back to school and continue to antagonize my daughter. I don’t understand how these policies work because they say you have right but nobody protected my niece nor my daughter. This school is sad, lazy and don’t care about these kids in their school especially the few with IEP. This girl is basically being babysat at school because she taking advantage of her IEP. Well sounds like we about to put up a bigger fight!

As a sophomore attending Cheyenne High School, I feel unseen and unheard by the school staff and teachers. I’ve been ignored and dressed coded for shorts that were well below my fingertips while a young man in a wife beater walked right past me without punishment. I’ve seen numerous students smoking in the bathrooms. In my two years attending Cheyenne, I’ve been “randomly searched” more times than I can count on my fingers. The search’s are not random. You are searched if you appear to have contraband on your person. These searches make me uncomfortable, make me feel like a juvenile. I’m unable to fully participate in class due to extreme burnout constantly. I am currently taking a math class a year above my grade level and absolutely drowning. I’ve never struggled so much in a class. My teacher goes through instructions too quickly for me to understand. His solution is “stay after school for tutoring” which I personally am unable to do. I suffer from severe social anxiety and am unable to ask for help In class, especially when I need it most. Granted, that’s not the schools fault in any sense. However I’ve never been asked personally “do you need help?” Or “do you understand?”. Like I said, I feel very unseen and unheard by the staff. This is not to say all teachers and staff are bad, but very little have taken the time to connect with me personally. I feel as though if I stopped attending school, not a single one of my six teachers would notice.

The lack of communication between the administration and parents is incredibly frustrating. I have sent countless emails and left voicemails for different counselors and staff, trying to get issues resolved. Nothing. They don’t want to address the issues, just move kids around and wonder why they don’t learn anything and their grades aren’t improving.

School has not even started and already had two problems! We had to go to pick up chrome books at an assigned time on Monday. When we got there they would not give the chrome books without a birth certificate, power bill and shot records. No one had said to bring these items, they told us to go get them and come back later. Finally, enough parents, grandparents complained, and they gave us the chrome books and said they would take care of it later.
After getting the chrome book we went to get schedules. When I got home, I noticed there was no classroom listed for the last period. I called the school, and no one answered. I left a message asking for a return call. I called back on Tuesday and had to leave a recording again. No one bothered to call back. I then sent an email, asking them to check my grandson's teacher for his last period. I gave the teachers name and subject. I received an email asking for my grandson's name. I gave his name and was told he would have to go to the counselor office to find out what classroom number to report to for class. This is ridiculous!!! No one can just look up a teachers name and find out what classroom she is in? They don't seem too professional.

This school is terrible. From learning to the staff, students, and atmosphere overall this school is no good. There have been several lockdowns for guns and weapons, it’s very hard to learn from the teachers being inattentive, and everything in between.

Easy access when I went to register my daughter. Only thing it did not fully register her because it still showed her being registered at Mojave.

I have two grandsons that attend cheyenne and I am very pleased overall with the school. The Band is spectacular and always wins awards and competitions. I saw my grandsons grades improve. I like all the teachers. And I like the school overall. The lady TRACY that handles the front office is wonderful and the staff is helpful. I think they exceed my expectations.

THis school is more concerned about it's test grades for funding than for the children's education. The staff doesn't know it's left from right and I've had nothing but problems since my child started school here 2 years ago. And to start the new year off right, I got to work at 3:30pm on Aug 23, 2013. My son received his schedule in the mail and read a flyer stating that open house was 3 hours away at 6pm. Here we go again. ..smh. I guess I should be grateful that at least this year that he got his schedule.

My daughter(Keisha) almost got shot when she was walking home and many of the seniors drink in front of the school. This school is the worst.
