The Principle and VP cannot handle their roles in CCSD. They close the office when busses are over an hour late getting home and they lost the bus full of children. Not passionate leaders. Failed leaders.

Great teachers, and supporting staff.
For online teaching to in class transition over the past two years, our little one only thrives to go to school every day with pride.
In difficult times and for all the challenges students and staff went through, overall I am very pleased as a parent on how the human touch and extend of assistance they provided during these unique time and conditions. Bravo to all the staff for their support.
A special bravo to the teachers, specially the teach my little one has, Mrs Ratliff simply amazing, to the point of where my kid thrived in her presence academically, manners, emotions....
Treating the kids like her own, is a success that is engraved in my kids heart.

The Bonner Elementary Assistant Principal Keener is ineffective in addressing concerns and dismisses concerns. She appears to display favoritism towards certain teachers.

The Bonner Elementary Assistant Principal Keener is ineffective in addressing concerns and dismisses concerns. She appears to display favoritism towards certain teachers.

Posted: March 15, 2019

Again, the teachers never fair. The kids that bullied other kids are the favorite one, so they never get talk to because if they do, the teachers and school are scared that the parents will not donate money anymore.

Posted: March 15, 2019

Teachers are very unorganized. When you go to open house they talk about the plans for the year including homework then the plans never get initiated, and the system get worst towards the end of the year.

Posted: March 15, 2019

The teachers have favoritism. The more you donate money, the most favorite your kid going to be. The teachers never hear the student out, the teachers always side their favorite, or if you have the same race as the teacher.

Posted: March 15, 2019

Since the teachers pick sides and never fair, I observe with my own kid and other student becoming depress and think that they are not good enough compare to the other kids that the teachersÂ’ always siding on.

Posted: March 15, 2019

Again, the parents that donate the most, their kids get to be the leader. ItÂ’s all about favoritism with this school.

Posted: March 15, 2019

If the teacher doesn’t like the student they take it on their grades. They put students down. It’s all about favoritism in this school and being part of the “minority.”

Posted: March 15, 2019

This school is a joke and overrated. Save your kid(s)! Please donÂ’t go to this school. The teachers are horrible. They have favoritism. In able for your kids to be the favorite you have to donate a lot of money and the teacher listen more to the kids that has the same race as them. My family feel broken with the experience we had with this school.

The Teachers are nice and kind and alway think of the kids before them selfs. Ms. Coleman is the best.

Mrs. Knee (newest principal) is very dedicated, and so is Ms. McCarty (asst principal). The teachers are highly variable. Academic standards here are very low. If you have a special needs child, forget it. Their services are poor at best. There are children in 4th and 5th grade here whose speech is barely intelligible (yes, native English speakers with impediments clearly not being addressed. This is not an ESL comment). The PTO insists on meeting at 2:30, eliminating any working parent from having active participation. It's very clique-y. Overall very disappointed.

We are a military family and our kids have been to 3 elementary schools. Bonner is by far our favorite school! The teachers and staff are top notch and love what they do. This results is an outstanding learning environment for the kids where they are supported and challenged. Bonner's school spirit is beyond compare with multiple school festivals and fun extra-curricular activities which makes the kids excited to go to school! We were sad when we had to move away from Bonner and we always recommend the school to friends that move to Las Vegas!!

Be very wary. Bonner is just fine, but not worth getting excited about. I've had children at this school for more than 10 years. When Mr Catania replaced the previous principal the first thing he did was discontinue the after school tutoring. Then he dramatically increased the number of fundraisers. Where are these extra funds going? Try discussing this with Mr C, you will get a long winded explanation that doesn't ever answer your original question. Also, if you child has an IEP or any special needs FORGET IT. The IEP will not be followed. If you child is not up to 5 star standards they will be swept under a rug. Also, just remember the common core standards they've implemented are the LOWEST scale of standards. This school is successful solely because it's in a higher income area, the high level of parent involvement, and some of the teachers are truly dedicated to their students. I agree that when you have the right teacher and things are going smoothly Bonner can seem like a great school. But it is all surface.

We love Bonner!! We came from an excellent school in CT and I was very concerned about moving to Nevada. We have been at Bonner for 5 months. I couldn't be happier. Both of my children love their teachers. My son's teacher is new and she tells me that teacher morale is very high. While I was trying to make my decision on where to send my children Mr. Catania had lengthy conversations with me about my son's needs, class sizes, the area of Summerlin etc. This was before we were even at the school. Mr. Catania cares deeply for the students, parents and teachers. There is a lot of school spirit and the PTA is very active. The school received the National Blue Ribbon award for excellence this year!

My husband and I love this school. We moved from out of state and was worried about the schools in Vegas (we have two boys who attend). This is our 2nd year at Bonner and the school has been great! The principal is the best and very involved, and there is no way you would be treated diffrently if you did not donate money as the other poster has stated. The school is too big for the principal to keep track of who has donated or not, that doesn't make any sense. So far our teachers have been outstanding and the class sizes are small. They also offer special classes everyday for the students that our other school did not like Technology, Art, Music and ST Math. We are really happy with our decision to attend Bonner.

This school is overrated. Although this school shows great results it's because of the educated and dedicated parents not the principal or teachers. I have had children attending this school for the past 8 years and have seen some amazing teachers and some less then mediocre; which is the same as you would see at any school. I feel that this school is great for students that are already successful but lack any qualities to be able to reach the students that really need help....as with any other school. The principal is definitely awesome if.... You donate money to the school if not you get second class treatment. In conclusion this school is the same as any school in this city,it's just fortunate enough to have educated parents thus resulting in educated children. Thank yourself for being awesome not the principal.

I moved from Washington DC to Nevada last year and so concern about my daughter education but this school is amazing, Mr. Catania the principle is involved with the kids progress. I absolutely love this school

My daughter has been going to this school for 3 years and we love it! I have to say the principal and the teachers she's had have been amazing. Best school in Vegas!

I am not happy with this school. It is VERY OVERATED, the communication between school and parents is Terrible! Will diffidently not be back...

I have had 2 girls at Bonner Elementary School and can say that the whole Family loves it. Mr. Catania (principal) and the entire staff care deeply about each individual child's progress and growth. Great teachers in all grades as well as they specialty teachers. I was involved in the PTA at the school and will say that it is one of the most organized I have been a part of. Any family would be lucky to be a part of the Bonner Family. Bonner Pride We Got It!!!

the best school in Clark county . I love my sons school. I wouldn't change a thing.

I can't say enough positive things about this school. I have two daughters who just finished 2nd grade. They attended Bonner for 1st grade also. It all starts with the principal, Mr. Cantania. He creates an atmosphere that children love. He both encourages and motivates the students every day and is constantly involved in all of their activities. My daughters teachers were also first rate. They were caring but strict and gave us constant feedback on their progress. Both daughters loved their teachers. I am personally amazed at their learning progress during these two years. Finally, the PTA at Bonner is run really well with involvement the parents and the teachers. I feel very fortunate that my children attend Bonner. Hats off to Mr. Cantania and his great staff!!! Great job!!!

A great Princpal and great teachers. He is very visible at the school and the children love him. We moved from out of state where we have the cream of the crop school. We do miss the old school, but BONNER is awesome. My daughter has adjusted well and done well academically. I recommend Bonner to any parent looking for a school who allows for creativity, but also expects good behavior and good academics. Bonner has no major behavior problems, high test scores, quality instruction, and caring teachers.

Posted: August 26, 2012

The best principal hands down! We love this school! There is no doubt that the children are better off here. The school has great fundraisers and Mr. Cantania is all about using the money for more staff! Since it is such a great school, all the great teachers want to go here, so they have their pick of the best! We are very happy parents and my children love it too!

Both of my kids attend Bonner and I have been very impressed with the dedicated teachers and P.T.A.. My kids have been sufficiently challenged by the teachers. There are plenty of clubs and extra activities for kids to attend. (Thank you teachers for donating your time). I am less impressed with administration. There is too much pressure put on students to fundraise.

My daughter is graduating from Bonner in June, 2012. She attended the pay for Kindergarten full day program and has received a great education at Bonner. The teachers, the Principal and Asst. Principal ,the PTA, and the parents and kids make this a great school. Lots of activities and experiences ...my daughter has had a wonderful experience at Bonner. My son will start full day Kindergarten in August of 2012. I cannot imagine sending him anyplace else. A five star school on Las Vegas....Thank you to a great staff with great leadership

This our second year at Bonner Elementary and we love this school. It has great curriculum, great stuff and most important great principal!

My son is in the first grade at Bonner and I have been very involved with his education. I love his teacher, and in fact, most of the other teachers I have met. The principal, however, doesn't seem to know a good thing when she has it.
