We have been at WLCA since 5th grade and it hasnt been a breath of fresh air. The staff and administration truly care about the children and place faith and foundation at the top of the priority list. The curriculum is rigorous and challenges students.

This is a great school for my son. Small classroom size, all of the core subjects, sports and extra curricular activies are all a part of this school. The schedule is prepared and communicated in advance so as a parent there are not many (if any) last minute surprises or changes to accommodate for. The administration, educators and security team are all dedicated to the students, their safety and well-being.

There are several options for parents to participate in to be more involved not just in their childrens' education but also in the school environment.

My daughter is currently attending WLCAs preschool and its such a fantastic environment. Weve seen her growth both academically and socially. She loves going there. You can tell her teachers, especially Ms. Natalie, truly care for these babies and go above and beyond to ensure the best possible learning environment. Mrs. Harris, the preschool director, is friendly, approachable, and easily accessible. The security guards know the students and the parents. They describe the whole class, and by extension the school, as family. The only thing that could make it better is if it were free hahaha. Even then, it is probably one of the most affordable private schools in the valley. Huge value for the cost.

I highly recommend (WLCA)Word Of Life Christian Academy. I have two children attending WLCA. One is graduating this school year and my other child this will be the last year of elementary school. I am pleased with the care that the teachers and staff have for all the children at WLCA. They truly care about the childrens education, mental and emotional well-being. WLCA provides an educational environment that fosters safety and a Christian education. My daughter is currently completing Pre-K and has learned far more in the Pre-K at WLCA than she had learned in traditional "educational" daycares. She is entering Kindergarten much more prepared than she would have been if we had not entered WLCA when we did. The teachers are fantastic, communicative, and supportive.

We really like this school. The teachers are great. They really care about their students. The administration is also great. When we had a situation between kids not getting along, they quickly handled it and got it resolved right away. My son has attended this school since first grade and will be entering fifth grade, and overall we have had a very positive experience. The quality of education is strong, the students are held to high standards, and the campus is clean, safe, and well maintained. I truly feel confident sending my child here each day.

This is a Christian school, and one thing we appreciate is how faith is incorporated in a balanced and respectful way. While Christian values are present, they are not forced or overwhelming. The school does an excellent job of maintaining strong academics while also teaching students about Gods love in a way that feels natural, supportive, and age appropriate.

If there is one area that could be improved, it would be communication. At times, information is shared too late or inconsistently, especially for recurring events such as spirit weeks, holidays, or regular WLCA events that typically do not change year to year. Providing these details earlier and in a more streamlined way would greatly help parents plan and stay informed.

Overall, we would absolutely recommend this school to other families and are looking forward to many more years to come. Soar high, Eagles!

My Son who is about go into 5th grade . Also our daughter who is going into 3rrd. Both of my children have attended this school since preschool and we have all become a family, having had only attended this school from the beginning has really solidified relationships with teachers, staff and supporting staff and much more. I love that there is only 1 class per grade WITH A GOD BASED ENVIRONMENT TO SHOW THE KIDS HOW TO BE KIND AND KNOW THAT BULLYING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. This is our first year at WLCA. I have 2 kids in this school, 1 in 4th grade elementary, and 1 in 6th grade middle school. I am very happy with the academic challenge this school offers to both of my kids. They are learning self-discipline, organization and responsibility. From that, they are gaining self-confidence and building character.
This school also offers MANY extracurricular activities, field trips, and sports!
One thing in particular that I love about this school is how welcoming everyone in it is, even if your religious views are different. We love the standards they uphold and the Christ-like love they show to all of the students.

Like so many parents, after covid we wanted to explore other options. After keeping the children out of school, we were motivated to act on the public school's failure to facilitate our daughters education. We soon realized home schooling or private education would be the desired solution.
The first year our daughter attended Fervent Micro School thru our church. This was a wonderful hybrid school that was home school format with on-site facilitators in a classroom setting. Our daughter then when to WLCA.
What a blessing. After praying to the Lord, I let Jesus take over. Glory to God. The next day I was directed to WLCA thru my search.
We set up a meeting with the Principal Mrs. Solis. Within 5 minutes I knew this was the right fit.
The interview was warm, welcoming and professional. Our daughter tested immediately.
The staff is outstanding , interaction with teachers is welcomed and incuraged.
We are pleased at their curriculum and how it is taught. Their values align with ours and their Doctrine is sound.
Our daughter has flourished in this environment. She in now in the 2nd semester, it's late January and we are currently filling out the 25/26 registration. In closing I would like to thank WLCA and their incredible staff for being such a wonderful blessing to our family.

Hands down, this is the best school in my opinion. They are Christ centered which is very important to me. They are an accelerated school and you can tell by the homework that comes home. I am very impressed with what my daughter is learning. The school is great and the staff are amazing. It is like family. All the teachers know all the students by name. This school is a really great school. They really test your child and strive for them to be the best. Our children are about a grade and a half if not 2 grades above their current grade academically when compared to the public school curriculum. Only thing is they need to find a way to keep teachers throughout the yearthey have exceptional teachers they just need to pay them more cause the tuition is enough. But overall amazing school.

My daughter excels at this school. The small school setting offers a lower student to teacher ratio and therefore offers more opportunity for one-to-one time with her teachers. My son is currently in his fourth year at Word of life, and for the most part, we are happy with the school. My biggest complaint is when seemingly children of staff members are given preferential treatment, or at the least no punishment for things like other students have been. I am part of the parent teacher group, and I do wish that there was more involvement from administration in that group, but overall happy with the school.

I am happy to re-enroll my son at WLCA again. As expected to happen while our kids get older and progress at school, he is participating in all of the subjects and learning the curriculum as required by his teachers. He has a good core group of friends within his classroom, all of whom are polite and kind little humans.

One "wish" I have is that communication from the athletic department could be more frequent, but I realize that they are in charge of several sports, activities and schedules. As long as I reach out and/or follow up with the coaches frequently, I get the information I am looking for.

My husband and I are overjoyed to share our positive experience with Word of Life Christian Academy (WLCA), where our son has been attending 9th grade since last year.
Our journey began when my son, having moved from Vietnam to America in late April 2023, joined the 9th grade. We discovered WLCA through online searches for schools near our new home. Given English is his second language, and Spanish is an additional subject, we initially had concerns about his academic performance.
To our delight, our son has surpassed our expectations, completing two semesters with straight A grades. He has found immense joy in learning, attributing much of his success to the dedicated and supportive teachers. From Mathematics to Biology, English to Spanish, Health, PE, and Robotics, each teacher has been instrumental in his academic journey. Plus, the school offers enriching field events.
Our son engaged in the school's robotics club, and he has formed friends in his club. We express our heartfelt gratitude to God and WLCA for nurturing our son's growth. We are committed to continuing his enrollment in the school.

My children are going on 3 years at Word of Life. Everything from the school administration to the teachers has been outstanding. Commuication has always been easy between parent and teacher. Love the schools curriculum. Theres a real sense of community and parent involvement at WLCA that I never felt or saw prior to finding WLCA. Truly blessed to have found this great school. Go Eagles!

3 years in this school has not only been awesome, but also supportive in all aspect. As a working mom, I have peace of mind at work, that my child is in safe hands. Her well being while away has been nothing short of what she gets at home. I have easy communication with her teachers, and the school in general. My child's learning here has always been of positive experience. She has never complained. Our greatest investment is in our children, and thanks to WLCA for being one of the vehicles. I recommend to all parents with same values.

We have experienced the difference word of life has made with my child's education and personality. She loves her school. My child has been in private school since the age of 3. We mistakenly missed one year and had to enroll in public school. The difference that year made in my child's education was disheartening but the with the help of her current teacher it almost like she never missed a year, we are so grateful for that. Staff has always been so helpful and the principle is like no other, caring, considerate, and just warm hearted. They make the effort to not only know the student, but the family member(s). I feel that my child is safe during the day from drop off to pick-up. Communication is always giving so I have a idea of what my child is doing currently and her progress at all times. Education and the love of God has been encouraged in her life and as a parent appreciated.

This has been our 4th year at Word of Life Christian Academy. Our daughter is in 11th grade and we have been blessed to be able to send her here. When I drop her off at school each morning I know she is safe, receiving an excellent education, and being instructed in the truth of God's word. The smaller class size is good and the communication between the parents and the teachers is phenomenal! The Remind App gives me the ability to contact a teacher if I have a question or concern. Each time I have used this app I have received a response from one of my daughter's teachers very quickly, usually within MINUTES. I did not fully appreciate this aspect of WLCA until recently when a friend of mine from church, whose son attends a public junior high, expressed her utter frustration with the great difficulty she encountered trying to contact any of her son's teachers regarding homework assignments... I can say without a doubt that I am thankful for the wonderful teachers here. They are caring, kind, and patient, and they want your child to succeed! WLCA is a great learning environment. If you want your kids to be blessed send them here.

My family recently joined WLCA. Our son had previously attended public school for elementary education. We were looking for a school that focused on scholastic achievement, while delivering Christian values. That's exactly what we found with WLCA. Their entire staff has been helpful, thoughtful and expedient in answering our questions/concerns. Our son has excelled in a happy and safe environment with strong academics, and also great sports/club opportunities. We are excited about continuing his education with WLCA and we highly recommend this school to others!

Consider warned. The management is nothing but inappropriate. I have never seen a private school that operates the way this does. The administration staff are Unprofessional! Starting from the top. This is not a Faith based school. They give discounts to get good reviews from parents with 5 stars! Totally lies!!!

This is the second year at WLCA for our two children. One is in middle school, the other in high school. Both kids have thrived in the smaller school environment. They receive a lot of attention from both their teachers and staff. The school is firm but fair. They participate in sports and love their coaches.

So far we have nothing but positive things to say about the school!

My daughter has been in the Las Vegas public schools since kindergarten. While the elementary school system has been good, we were dreading sending her to the public middle schools, which are horribly rated! What a breath of fresh air to find WLCA! She is going into her second year of middle school and absolutely loves it! It did take her awhile to make new friends, but now she never wants us to move! She has A+ in every class! For me to know that she is in a great school learning in a Christian environment is awesome! I highly recommend WLCA if you are looking for something better for your kids!

Words cant express how I feel about this school. I am glad I enrolled my son last year. When my son finished elementary school and it was time for middle school I was so stressed. The school we are zoned for is not the best school. My only option was to look for a private school. I googled and came across WLCA. I didnt think twice after I took a tour of the school and met the principal. The staff are amazing and the principal is the sweetest person on earth. Class sizes are so small. My son loves going to school and loves his teachers. His grades have improved so much. He is an AB honor roll. They have almost all the sports. My son played flag football and loved it. Now every parent that I meet who complains about the school their kids go to I recommend WLCA. My daughter will be joining this school soon she cant wait.

This is our second year at Word of Life. We have 2 kids here in elementary and middle school and so far this school year we have been pretty pleased with both. This private school is a well rounded school and has an above average curriculum and good teachers. They brought back sports this year which has been fun for both our kids and as parents to watch our kids be apart of a team. Looking forward to the next school year!

This was the first year both my sons have attended Word of Life. They're in 2nd grade and 9th grade. We have all really enjoyed it. I love the Principals, administrative team, staff, teachers and even security have made it so family oriented. It's a blessing to have both sons here. I love that my children are experiencing God's word and learning his truths! The staff really embodies a sense of community, family and God's teachings in everything that they do or host. My freshman son has really enjoyed the sports programs they are hosting and really trying to offer a wide variety of after school activities for students! This school is a BLESSING to our family!

Each and every day that I pick up my son, I am amazed and grateful to this school for the academic teachings that help him grow mentally, and the spiritual teachings that keep his mind, body and spirit close to God. My son loves his school! He has been at WLCA since preschool and has enjoyed his friends and the staff. I have had two children enrolled in WLCA for 5 years now and we will continue their education for the years to come. Safety is a top priority and the teachers truly get to know their students and their families. Communication for elementary school has been lacking but I have confidence the administration will handle it. The office staff is wonderful and ready to assist when needed.

This has been my son's first year at WLCA, as he attends the first grade here and we love it and I plan on keeping him enrolled here for years to come!
All of the staff and teachers are so warm, welcoming, attentive, and friendly, I think they have a great security protocol system in place in the school, I feel a sigh of relief knowing that my son is in good hands everyday. The school and the classrooms are clean, and I love the principal Mrs. Marchello, she is wonderful! She is super passionate about each and every student along with the parents, teachers and the staff.
It is a nice welcoming Christian environment for the kids to be apart of.

My daughter has been attending WLCA from pre-K and will be attending again this fall for 2nd grade. Despite the fact she struggles with mild to moderate ADD, her teachers have always made sure to give her the one on one time and attention. She needs to achieve her potential. She is an is able to demonstrate what she has learned during school when she is at home and has so far this year been on the honor roll every quarter. With every interaction with her teachers and the rest of the staff at this school, it is a parent that they genuinely love all of their students, and strive to provide them with the best experience, both educationally and emotionally. When we first discovered that our daughter had ADD, we were directed toward another school that claimed they could work with her and so we switched for the last quarter of her kindergarten year. It was the biggest mistake. WLCA serves this community with the greatest of integrity by offering their exemplary program for what I consider to be a fair, if not even a bargain, price.

WLCA is a great choice here in Las Vegas, if you are looking for a small but very caring school this is it. Their academic standards are higher, also they focus on the behavioral development of the student teaching them how to be a good person/citizen following Christian guidelines. This is an awesome school. My daughter has been here for 2 years now, and she has accomplished all As, also on the honor roll. The teachers are very excellent with the students. Ms. Marchello, the principal is the best. Everyone is treated like family. I would highly recommend this school. They are taught Christian principals, and learn to respect everyone and to love everyone no matter who they are. I am very comfortable having my daughter attend this school. You could not find a better school than this. It starts at pre-k all the way through high school. They have a lot of activities and sports for boys and girls. It is a very safe school to be in. When your child is in the classroom and in the building, there is no need to worry about their safety. I highly recommend this school for your children. You will not be disappointed.

This is an excellent school, starting with the principal Mrs Marchello, to the whole staff, and the teachers. There is security guard to protect the children and the building. There is a zero tolerance for any bullying. The biblical curriculum and teaching is worth every penny. The class sizes are not large which impacts the students learning. My sons have been going to this school for seven years, it's like their second family. I recommend it and I am very grateful for this school!

When they say education is the key to success, they had WLCA in mind. Putting my son in this school was by far the best decision we could have made. The teachers and staff are great. It's like one big family. It speaks volumes when your child gets up every day happy about going to school. The education and experience is unlike any other school my children have attended. With the pandemic's interruption, my son continued with homeschooling. After two and a half years of staying home, he wanted to be around other children and begged me to enroll him back in school. I searched online and I came across WLCA, which to my surprise, it's 2 minutes away from my work and is a Christian school. I was very happy after meeting with Mrs. Marchello and my son was able to start the following school year. I have never seen him so excited to attend classes. I can see him making lifelong friends since the classes are very small. The teachers are wonderful and they have open communication with the parents. The only thing I noticed is the turnover in teachers during the 2022-2023 school year. It is after all the best decision we ever made.

Deciding to put our son in WLCA was the best decision we have ever made for him. Since he started going to school here, his grades have improved tremendously and so has his confidence. Everyone that works at this school is always so warm and welcoming, as well as genuinely happy to see your child each day. Best decision ever to bring my 2 sons to this school. Feels like a family. Sports programs have been getting better and better, football team...let's gooooo!!!! Teachers and coaches volunteer countless hours to help coach all year round including summer break. Staff knows every student and help out wherever needed. I couldn't imagine having my boys in another school, so glad God put this school in our lives!

I enrolled my 3 children here for the 22-23 school year and it is amazing. My 5 year old never attended pre-k due to COVID-19 and had a difficult time adjusting to school. His teachers have been so caring and supportive and my son was reading by November just as his teacher said at open house. All 3 of my kids have grown so much spiritually and educationally since being here. Pre-K and middle school are just as amazing as elementary. Id definitely recommend this school and we are all looking forward to the 23-24 school year.

My granddaughter started at WLCA last year for PreK and it was an excellent experience. The teachers were great, the staff is great, so we devotion continue her education and she is now in Kindergarten. Again her teachers are amazing, she is learning so much, and loves going to school. If I had one bad thing to say is that the school is not 24 hours a day because she never wants to leave!
I would without hesitation recommend WLAC.

My kids will be attending WOLCA for their third year coming up for 22-23 school year. They had the option to elect to change private schools, attend public school or continue their education staying at WOLCA and they both chose to stay. They have their good days, some bad but they are learning to cope as well as building friendships. The teachers, coaches and staff are very friendly and are always available for questions or concerns. The principle is one of the best that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

My son has attended Word of Life Christian Academy since pre-school (now entering 4th grade) and I couldn't imagine him learning anywhere else. The education he receives is top notch and it is only made better by the fact that he is learning Christian values along the way. I am a parent who first decided to seek a school with a Christ centered curriculum when my children were ready to start their education. Word of Life Christian Academy was the right fit for both my children. I have seen one child attend WLCA from first grade through twelfth grade. And my second child will soon be a graduate as well. No school is perfect. There are bumps in the road always. But these are overcome especially when you have faith and confidence in a school such as WLCA. Principal Mrs. Marchello is excellent at her job. I highly recommend WLCA.

This school is the best in Las Vegas. My daughter has been in this school since ore school now in 10th grade. She tried another school for one semester and came right back. Family atmosphere, smaller classes, more on on one with teachers, the teachers are caring and amazing , the Admin staff is wonderful. She loves the family atmosphere, any issues , they were right there to help . The other kids are wonderful. No bullying tolerance, no fighting tolerance , no cheating or picking on tolerance. The school is about respect and kindness . My daughter has been thru a lot over the years and her class and teachers sent her letters to bring up her spirits in times of illness and stayed in touch. All were there for her to help her catch up when she was out for a long period and she is thriving . She was a quiet little one and in time, her teachers helped brig her out of her shell where she can stand in front of the class and recite, do problems and asks questions . I can't say enough wonderful things about the admin and staff. The other kids in the school are wonderful as well. The school helps them prepare for college, they are a grade ahead of public and assists showing them how to apply for grants, scholarships for college while preparing them for college in HS. Teachers offer assistance in what is called HELPS class of a student needs a little extra help after school. They have activities going on all the time , they have sports like Volleyball for girls and boys, basket ball, cheerleading and I heard this last year they started a small foot ball team. They have robotics, which they won many competitions and national competitions plus spelling bee in elementary. They have an Honor Society and drama club plus journalism this year. Every year they change it up a bit with singing, dancing and acting. I wish I had this school growing up. They are like a family. We all have our ups and downs in families, this is a family and when there is a rare down, in the end, it's all worked out with care and love. I cannot say enough positive words about Word of Life Christian Academy of Las Vegas NV. My daughter was having difficulty with the public school system and we needed another option to better her education. We took a tour with the Principal Kelly Marchello and was amazed on how knowledgeable she and her staff were. The teachers go above and beyond even helping tutor my child because she fell so far behind in Math due too Covid distance learning. I would like to praise each teacher as they all are so eager to teach and care about the class. If you are having issues and value your child's education Word of Life Christian Academy is the school for you and your child. So grateful my daughter is coming out of her shell and is participating again with almost an A average versus a D average in public school.

As a military family, maintaining some sort of consistency has always been important to us. With the unending changes in environments and roller coaster of emotions that military children/families experience, a Christian education was the one thing we could control and continue to provide our children. Though there were some obstacles at first, the school, the principal and staff, quickly worked to ensure our expectations were met, if not we exceeded. Teachers and staff are amazing at what they do. We plan on continuing as long as we are stationed here.

So many wonder things to point out about Word of Life Christian Academy. One of them being the culture of learning in Christian love. Teachers and staff have gone above and beyond ensuring the students are focused on learning while enjoying being a kid. The core values set forth has proven kids can still learning during a pandemic. Word of Life Christian Academy is definitely a hidden gem of Las Vegas. I love the small class sizes, ensuring quality attention to students academic and emotional progress. The teachers are visibly happy teaching at WLCA, and their instruction demonstrates it. Administration is very supportive and easy to reach. The structure of the school itself is well maintained and lends itself to a rich educational environment. Tuition prices are competitive and fair. I was able to get my son into this school this year after. horrible experience in the public school district. He is in the 6th grade. and this is the 1st time in all of his school years that he likes going to school. It has always been such a fight in the mornings and now it is not. He has always had C grades and below and now its mostly A and Bs! It has been so much of a change with him he is growing and changing for so much good and I fully believe its the wonderful school and environment offered here! The staff and the students are so amazing and kind. I am so in love with this school and look forward to him staying here until graduation.

We just put our son here this year (2021-22) and could not be happier. He is in 3rd grade, It started off a little rocky with some teacher movement for his grade but once his current teacher came she got things going in full force. She is an amazing teacher and even stays longer on certain days to help students that need some extra help. As for the principle, she exceeds all my expectations and is part of the reason we chose this school. She is the sweetest and happiest principle I have ever came across. She is more than involved everyday and you can tell she genuinely loves every single one of those students. Greets them every morning before coming and every afternoon when leaving. The school offers a variety of programs, my favorite was the Christmas music play the students worked on since the beginning of the year. It was so much fun to watch the kids for the program they worked so hard on! My son also signed up to robotics club this year and is very much enjoying that. Over all this school has a wonderful atmosphere and advanced curriculum and we are very very happy with our decision in coming here! We will be staying for the next school year as well as enrolling our daughter for the next year and are looking forward to many more years to come!

2020/2021 is our fourth year at WLCA. My son is in 2nd grade and my daughter is in 6th grade. I have to give credit to the school for their quick response to on-line learning that started in March 2020.

WLCA gave the families a choice of on-line or in classroom education setting. My family chosen in the classroom for our children. My family has a close COVID-19 call during this school year and we had to self-quarantine. During this time, my kids were attending their classes on-line. Teacher were live streaming in Google Classroom. They were able to interact with their teachers and classmates. All of their on-line school is through Google Classroom not many different platforms.

We are so happy that we have WLCA as a education partner for our kids.

2020 - 2021 was my son's first year at WLCA, we came from another Christian based school that ended at elementary school. After taking the tour my only regret is that I did not enroll here sooner. EVERYONE here has been wonderful and has welcomed our child in and it feels like we have always been at WLCA. I love the diversity and inclusiveness at WLCA, the administration and teachers have all been wonderful, helpful and always make you feel welcome. My daughter has attended this school since 9th grade. She was struggling in public school so we decided to put her in a private school. We visited 7 private schools and by far this one was the best. Everyone was so friendly and inviting. We were given a through tour and all our questions were answered. Since she has started school, her grades went from D- F in public school to A's and B's while attending Word of Christian Life. The teachers are AMAZING!!! If my daughter does not understand something, they go above and beyond to help her. This was the best decision I made for my daughter.

My son is in first grade. I was looking for an in-person school since all public schools are online at this time. I didn't know anything about Word Of Life before I went on a tour. I loved how small the school was and was happy with the Christian curriculum. I am a former teacher so curriculum and class size are very important to me. I decided to enroll my son.
I have been very happy with the school. The staff is professional and my son's teacher is wonderful. The work is challenging and pushes him to work hard. Due to covid, I wasn't sure how they would manage with strict state regulations in place. They have a system and process for everything. The staff doesn't cut any corners to ensure the safety of the staff and students.
I liked the school so much that I began to substitute for them when I was needed. The interview process was thorough. I was required to do several trainings and go through all of the proper background checks. I have been in the classroom and all around the school at various times. I have been deeply satisfied with the level of respect, learning, and the overall organization of the school and staff.
I hope to be part of the Word of Life family for years to come.

Kinder homework is 3 days each week which is very manageable for both parents and kids. The homework reinforces the lessons that are taught in class, and are very age appropriate. Actually, I cannot believe my daughter knows how to write 1-100 on her own half way through the school year! I also like how there is no homework on Wednesday to allow time for church services for those who attend.

I am so blessed that we found this school for my daughter to attend. She is in kinder, and will be enrolling her for the next school year. She was behind on learning her ABC's, and after 10 days attending school, she was all caught up! She struggled a bit prior to starting Kinder, and she was only attending pre-school for a few months before the summer so I felt she was at a disadvantage. Thankfully, the curriculum is fantastic and the teacher is especially talented with teaching. I am extremely satisfied, and can't wait to see her grow even more academically and spiritually next school year! The curriculum is incorporates our faith in Christ, and the exemplifies the importance of having good character. I honestly, have not experienced anything unpleasing at this school. My daughter wakes up excited to go to school, and always leaves with a big smile on her face. I feel that all the kids really get along with one another very well even the bigger kids are amazingly welcoming and friendly to the smaller kids. I do not worry about her safety either when I drop her off. I know I would feel much differently if I put her in a public school.

This school is perfect for my son. He has improved not only academically, physically but also spritually. He became compassionate and responsible. Both of our boys have attended WLCA for 1.5 years. I love the staff, they treat us like family and all of the teachers really care for all of the children, genuinely.
Our boys are both reading above grade level and the great attention to excellence in academics is stressed beyond what we could have ever imagined!

This is my granddaughter's first year at this school (she is in kindergarten), and I already can't imagine her attending anywhere else! She loves it, her mom loves it, and as her grandmother, it has brought me a high level of comfort knowing my granddaughter is cared for, and learning about God! There is nothing better than her coming home and singing "Go Tell It On The Mountain" for me! Everyone has been so nice and accommodating! We are registering for 1st grade!

FAKE reviews! Notice from Jan 16-24, they had TWELVE perfect reviews. In the five months since, they had two reviews total. Clearly the principal (whose own grandson left the school) panicked and orchestrated a flood of positive reviews in a short period.

This school is not accredited. They don't require their teachers to have a teaching license. The best teachers keep leaving - is it any wonder?

This is an amazing school. My daughter is in kindergarten, and her teach Mrs. Salas is very patient and loving with my daughter. The staff is amazing and my daughter is learning at a 1st grade level. She has improved so much in her social skills and she has a hunger to learn that I believe has a lot to do with this school. The most important reason I chose Word of Life Christian Academy is the staff. My son's teacher is very important to me. I liked my sons first grade teacher right away, Mrs. Beverly. She is very kind, warm, and caring. My son says he likes the way she teaches, she helps him to learn, and he likes how she forgives. The staff at this school are so sincere, from the principals,adminstrative staff, receptionist, other teachers, and assistant teachers. I like that there are teacher assistants and student aides to help in the classroom. Another positive is the classroom size and that there is one class for each grade. I have 3 children at the school and I wouldn't have it any other way. The staff and the academics are centered around Christ and the teachers and support staff are amazing. This is our 5th year at the school, and I have no plans of moving my children anywhere else. They truly cater to the needs of the students, and prepare them for the future. It's worth every penny.

My children have attended WLCA since kindergarten. I have enjoyed every moment of their journey in this amazing school. To watch them grow in Christ and become bolder every year in their faith. Academically they have excelled! The curriculum is challenging and is preparing them for college. The teachers will stay after school or come in early for extra help if it is needed. There is no principal better than Mrs. Marchello. Her love for each and every student is obvious. She greets every family with a hug, smile and absolutely open heart. When any issue has arisen (and it will at any school), she is quick to handle the problem fairly. I would recommend WLCA to any new family.

They never retain good talent. Their best teacher, who taught math, quit with one month left in the year. No explanation. He was the one teacher the kids learned from, he probably got fed up with the incompetent office. The replacement has a heavy accent thats hard to understand and is just a sub. Rest of the teachers are average or sub-par. Time to take my kids out of this sinking ship.

I love the school my son goes to,but most of all when he wakes up in the morning for school, he is excited to go. Right now our classes are not too large. Because of this if there is a subject the kids are not grasping their teacher takes the time to go over the lesson more. The principle and the the teachers really do care about you and they are genuine. My son has been coming to this school since he was in preschool. Is the school perfect? No, what school is ? But the principle is always looking for better ways to make our school the best we can be.

As a parent, I am completely satisfied with the quality of education and care at WLCA. The price is reasonable. I paid 475 a month for my kinder. I paid 850 per month for montessori pre-k and this educational structure produced better results. The security at this institution is top notch. Video cameras, photo security badges, guest passes, locked classrooms, locked hallways, etc. In a post Sandy Hook world, this is a necessity. Teachers that instill confidence that ignite the flame of a child's will to learn. The introduction of robotics at kindergarten. A service oriented community and school. Ethnically diverse with an emphasis on intercultural communication. As a former GATE/IB student in the Northern California public school system with a spouse from a private Catholic school background, this institution beats both schools hands down, based on our experience. Read as many of these reviews as you can. However, I implore you to visit the school, meet the staff and decide for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

The principle is awesome, the staff in the office is unbelievably helpful in every sense and aspect. My child has been there going on 5th year from the Pre K program. The school has a lot to offer and is getting bigger and better every year. They are growing and have their share of growing pains, that is for sure. Over all, ALL the teachers, assistants and Principle seem to care a lot about each child. They base grades and teaching not only academically, biblically but in behavior. The school is very big on behavior of children as they are on the academics and Bible. My daughter is stressed over the HW but she is doing excellent and loves it there. That is what matters most. Being the school is small and family like, it has welcomed groups to form with gossip and shunning of others (Parents). As long as it doesnt affect my children, its a small issue to have to deal with. I only care about the kids and the feeling of belonging and thats exactly how they feel. I have witnessed in Chapel to not shun each other and to treat each other with respect. That is what i love most. So many issues today with kids and bullying. This school does NOT tolerate it. Amen

Word of Life Christian Academy. The school is poorly ran/monitored. The administration staff have a lack of interpersonal skills, a lack of empathy and companion for their negligence. My child had an IEP from his previous school-the message was never relayed to the teachers, causing him to receive failing grades. I was informed that the message was relayed from start but how funny, the next school year, they asked me to request the records from his previous school because they never were retrieved. Someone apparently lied!!! All in All, it's very frustrating and all they can say is, " I apologize or I m sorry". Or depending on who calls you or answer your call the response maybe, "Well I apologize-what more do you want me to do, I need this know, or your child can't return!". Without saying, "I ll look into this or will follow up on this-that's what you get. Leaving you feeling like you're a nuisance and should have never questioned their negligence. The school does not mirror the church. On the other hand, the teachers are awesome and the principles are welcoming women who represents Christ well.

I have been able to see both sides. My step-daughter attends a public school close to my other two children who attend WOLCA. While no school is perfect, WOLCA is the far better choice. My 7 year old is teaching 10 year old daughter how to spell "White", and my step-daughter is in GATE program at the local public school! When I went through my divorce, the Principle made time in her busy schedule to have lunch with my son, to pray with him and ask him how he was doing. As early as Kinder, my son was taking Computer and Spanish class! WOW! Now that my son is in the 5th grade, he is already working on geometry where as his step-sister (same grade) is still doing basic fractions! Public schools "no child left behind" is great for some but can hinder others. WOLCA has assisted every child to rise above, from what I have seen.

All schools have issues that we as parents would like to change, but for the past 6 years I have seen more positive then negative at WLCA. As with any school, you have devoted staff and those that are the 9 to 5 only type. WLCA has more of the devoted than not. I only have experience with the elementary K-5. You have teachers that you absolutely love and those that you don't care for, but if you ask another parent they are opposite of you. As with any school, personalities are different. I haven't had a school year that my student did not grow in knowledge and God. There are some years that are more fun than others for hiim, as the case with all schools. I feel blessed to have found a school that I feel good about. My son hears and speaks about the Lord without fear. Right and wrong are not blurred at WLCA. The school does need a new home due to growth. It's difficult to have a church and school together. There is a us and them battle when the two are combined at any Christian school. Even with needing a new home for K-12, it's truly a school that becomes a family to you. Your childern are loved and grow up with an extended group of people that only want the best for them.

This is a review of the elementary program. Having worked closely with this schools administration and also with having a relative as a public school teacher I feel I have a unique perspective to compare the public vs private school environment. I have several children at WLCA and over the past 6 years I commend their elementary program. 1. It's a Christian curriculum and God is at the forefront of their beliefs. They begin everyday in prayer, have weekly chapel, and teach biblical principals. 2. The elementary staff is well trained, accredited, and chosen not only for their teaching skills, but also their faith. 3. The curriculum is challenging and on par leaning to exceeding the CCSD curriculum. Examples of my children's experiences: preschoolers learn to read, 1st learned cursive writing, monetary math; 2nd grade multiplication/division; 3rd grade book reporting, creative writing; 5th grade historical geography, and pre algebra. 4. Multiple field trips a year. The school does have opportunities to improve its play area, and further expand its sports, and consolidate fees, but I am very pleased with the education they have received so far.

We've had our son here for 2 years - going on his 3rd year. It is a Christian school running the Abeka curriculum which is what we wanted. Some of the other reviews I've read were either posted 3 years ago or were posted by the same person or BOTH! In either case, yes, not a perfect school - dangerous blacktop playground WITH NO FENCE! This needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY. Teachers are ok, I gave them 3 out of 5 stars. Its a Christian based school so we expect Bible teaching and Chapel along with Math, English, Science, etc so our child can be well rounded. Our boy is WAY ahead of our friends' kids who are in public schools I believe, BECAUSE of the the well-rounded approach and the fact that he doesn't need to go to school in a bullet proof vest or deal with the indoctrination of political correctness being handed out in public school classrooms. The price is fair - all private schools hit you for money for EVERYthing - c.f. First Lutheran, Bishop Gorman, etc. - overall a good school and we recommend it to anyone and everyone seeking to give their child a well-rounded education

Before considering this school perform your due diligence and vet the staff and policies. A majority of the staff is not certified to teach and several lack degrees by an accredited institution. The administration is more concerned with gouging the parents and students for cash than providing a well rounded and challenging curriculum. The faculty turnover rate is dramatic and announcement of new teachers and their qualifications are not provided to parents. I challenge anyone to contact the teachers and administration via the e-mail addresses provided. Your e-mails will NOT be answered. This school claims they teach excellence yet the curriculum is "Watered down" as a teacher actually admitted. The LOL detention policy is in place not to discipline wayward students but rather to pad the coffers of the school. I urge you to seriously review this school, speak with the administrators and review the credentials of the staff before considering this as an appropriate learning institution for your children.

Wlca is the best school in the world. My children have been attending this school for eight years. Some of the comments below do not truly reflect the character of the school, nor the vision of the founder. The school is not perfect; you will never find a perfect school. However, it's better than most. Your children will be surrounded by good influences. Principal Marchello is a wonderful, godly woman who leads our school with excellence. The school showcases a wide variety of teachers who are well equipped to teach your child the academics he or she needs in order to be successful. If you're looking for a great school, WLCA is the place for your child.
