After speaking with many families, I have learned that my experience is not unique. This school does a really great job of targeting the boys and their families. The teachers are not qualified to make special education assessments, and yet they will tell you your child is exhibiting signs of learning deficiencies or autism with no basis for standard deviations that are necessary for testing of special education or qualifications to diagnose with autism. Once your child gets assessed and you learn there are no issues, the behavior is completely normal and age appropriate, the school will do what they can to kick you out. They want all-female robot children. If you have a boy, please consider sending him elsewhere. This school is not equipped to handle bright, outgoing, energetic boys!

The teachers here are okay. The administration is horrible!! They communicate poorly and give misinformation regarding payments or things going on in the classroom. They talk to you as if you are a child, and they will never learn your name (even if your child goes to the school for years). You can get much better childcare cheaper or a better education at the Meadows if your child is older than 3 and potty trained. The playgrounds are insufficient for young children, and the kids do not get much time outside--maybe 30 minutes a day. The teachers are always telling the children they can't go outside because it's too hot for the day. My biggest complaint is that the feedback from teachers and administration is mostly negative. There aren't very many positive comments given to families, and thus, the experience is not very positive.

You will not ever find a better leadership team. They treat each and every child as if they were their own. They know each and every family member by name and plan tons of fun activities for the kids and their families.

My child wasn't a slow learner but she was naughty at times and everyone at Merryhill helped guide her and myself in steps to turn her attitude around and lo and behold my daughter honestly is a new girl!

Homework starts in Kindergarten and it was just enough to keep my daughter engaged and interested without burning her out

My daughter needed extra guidance more than once and every teacher she had gave her love, respect, nurturing and kept her on the correct path .

I would not change our experience for the world. My daughter aged out (kindergarten) and now attends another Merryhill for elementary but this Merryhill will always be family to us and when I think of how they shaped my child to be the smart little lady that she is I could never repay the staff.

The administration at this school is AWFUL! They are disorganized and lack communication. They also give false information on which families rely for planning.

If you have a child who is intelligent and needs more of a challenge, this school cannot support him/her. They want children who are followers and do not provide much work for the teachers.

Kids hit and bite each other. If the teachers like the family, nothing will happen. If the teachers do not like the family, the school will kick you out. There was an RJ Article written on this in 2017.

Negative. This school caused more stress for my family. My child ended up saying he didnt want to go to school, and it was very difficult for him to leave me in the mornings. The teachers ostracized him because he is a strong-willed and intelligent child. This school is not meant for gifted children who have leadership skills.

Several teachers at this school are not kind. They do not know how to handle boys who have more energy and are intelligent.

Excellent methods for play/learn balance. Object lessons positively enforce learning. Attitude is everything. Happy teachers lead to happy students.

We've had 3 kids go through their program, and then enter public school. All have been reading before kindergarten. All have been at the top of their class. Excellent program with excellent teachers at this location. Mrs. Fitzgerald and her staff are at the top of their game. Mrs. Wagner in particular has conveyed a love for learning in each of our kids.

I'm compelled to write a review here due to the big help other parents reviews provided me in this site. Very caring environment which I believe how it should be, my daughter is in Pre-K. They are not very strict on the academic level but my daughter has improved in writing and math. I think it will prepare kids socially for tasks ahead in kinder. Kids truly have a lot of fun and they have so many nice activities, my daughter is excited to go to school daily. The class size is also small. I think from 2-5 years it's a great school, the little ones I see are all pretty well behaved and happy kids. It's not chaotic like the other childcare places in town. Staff is approachable and good parent involvement.
