We have sent our children to Lamb of God School since Pre K 2019 and now both are in Elementary now. Our continued enrollment is our greatest endorsement of this school, it’s administrators and passionate teachers. There is certainly a sense of community here and our kids love going. We appreciate the accelerated education and superior MAP Scores this school routinely produces. Both of our children were reading as they headed into Kindergarten and we are committed to sending our youngest when she turns 3. We also plan to send our children to Faith Lutheran and appreciate the prioritized enrollment there as Lamb of God School is a feeder school.

The school has a decent learning environment and good class sizes. Excellent subject matter for math and good amount of homework. However, some teachers struggle with teaching the materials (as several of them are new and have not been given a foundation on how to teach the materials) and some teachers definitely struggle with handling different personalities in the classroom. We have been at LOG a few years and have observed a change in the administration. The new administration needs to instill a kindness campaign. Students in public school all across the state have kindness programs, but LOG does not. We were surprised at how much bullying, mean talk and unkind behavior was allowed in the school, classroom, playground and lunchroom. Teachers seem to stay out of it or turn their head the other way instead of correcting the hurtful behaviors. Children need help and guidance and should not be allowed to treat others with malice, especially in the upper grades where they are also dealing with changes, hormones, more school work and stress in general. You would think a private religious school would teach its students to be kind to one another. It appears that as long as a student performs well academically or is a top student, his or her mean behavior is not corrected.
If we had to do it all over again, we would not spend our money here. Academics are important, but so are many other things in school. Charter and magnet schools may be a better option for those of you considering Lamb of God.

Students learn the material at the school and that is it. Advanced students are not challenged, and students that are not meeting the standard are left to work it out on their own. No additional help is provided.

Teachers, admin and students were repeatedly bullying other students and parents. I did not expect so much bullying at a religious school. Very disappointed in how bullying was handled at LOG. I personally saw the older children putting smaller children in a "headlock" and no one said anything about it. I had to stop the kid from this behavior. Girls constantly gave each other mean looks, taunted one another and made each other cry. No one stepped in the help the girls effectively deal with these problems or emotions.

At times, there was way too much homework, especially around holidays and end of school year. Too many projects to juggle in addition to regular weekly homework.

Some teachers were great and some were very hands off outside of teaching. One teacher did not know how to deal with bullying and powerful kids who hurt others. She chose to ignore it because she had her own problems to deal with. A teacher is more than an educator. They are a caregiver and are supposed to be respectful and compassionate to all students. When a child feels snubbed by the teacher, that is just wrong.

Several students have attended LOG from Kinder to 5th grade. I was appalled at how those students treated new students and others who were there for only 2 or three years. For a God-centric school, you would think there would also be a kindness campaign. I guess the school believes that chapel 30 minutes a week teaches compassion and kindness. But, students definitely were not kind or respectful to each other, especially in the upper grades. There was a lot of mean behavior, bullying and disrespect. If the student had been there for 4 or 5 years, their mean behavior was overlooked. But, if it was a newer student, they were punished or singled out. Where is the equality? No bullying should be tolerated at all, no matter how wonderful or smart a kid is.

The leadership didn't handle problems well. It was the new principal's first year, but I doubt Mrs. Klipfel would have put up with the things the new principal allowed, especially bullying.

For the cost of tuition, I expected more out of LOG. The curriculum was great for math, but behind for language arts. Public schools actually teach more materials in this area and do it effectively. The Spanish program was laughable - we never knew what our children were learning because nothing came home about this. Science and Social Studies were great. Some teachers "checked out" because they knew they were moving once they school year was over. New teachers were not provided with proper guidance or effectively mentored their first year. The poor third grade teacher was in her first year and had 27 students to deal with! The front office staff is not very nice. Their mood depended on the day. They are the first people we see when we enter the school. You would think they would always have a smile on their face and not be standoffish. Lots of negatives about this school and only a few positives. For the cost of tuition, the positives need to outweigh the negatives greatly. Think long and hard before you pay $8000 per year per child at this school. Magnets, charters and some public schools offer a better, more compassionate overall education.

There are some good teachers at the school, but overall, we weren't impressed with the quality of instruction. Innovation is low and, from our experience, students who are above level aren't challenge. There didn't appear to be a comprehensive curriculum that laid a strong foundation for building skills grade level to grade level in areas like phonics and spelling.

The new principal is a wonderful new addition to the administration. Hopefully she is more open and honest with families and mentors new teachers better. Prior to this things were very secretive and the old principal was not forthcoming with parents or staff.

The small class sizes, caring teachers and family atmosphere create an environment that has tremendous potential. However, academically, the school falls short especially for the cost of tuition. New teachers aren't mentored well resulting in poor classroom management and their quality of instruction is low. There is little to no differentiated instruction meaning that many students are not challenged or not getting the help they need. I really loved the school as did my children, but it just didn't seem worth the cost of tuition. Hopefully the new administration turns things around and mentors new teachers and/or hires more qualified teachers thus raising the academic quality of the school.

Our daughter started at Lamb of God in preschool. We were new to Las Vegas and the schools here. We weren’t sure what to expect. We had been raised strict Catholics and had gone to catholic grade school and high school growing up. We immediately loved this school as well as the Lutheran religion. Everyone is very caring and friendly. The education has exceeded our expectations. The teachers push the kids to challenge themselves. Our daughter is now in third grade and is reading at a fourth grade level. We couldn’t be more proud. Between the church family and the school family, you can’t go wrong. We firmly believe in a faith based education for our children. This school teaches great morals and integrity to the children. We only wish this school went to 8th grade instead of 5th like the schools back in Missouri did!

The entire staff is loving and caring. Love the amount of contact and connectedness the teachers have with the parents. New principle was very nice and attentive to my specific questions and needs. Children are learning strong moral principles and christian values. They are also having fun. It feels like family. This is a new school for us so wasn't sure what to expect, but pleasantly surprised.

My twins are in First Grade and the class size and wonderful teachers that educate make this the perfect school for them to attend. They have been part of the Lamb of God program since pre-School. The entire staff we have worked with has be 100% Excellent and 0% issues. Thank you Lamb of God.

My daughters started at LOG for Kindergarten and loved it! I decided to pull them out for third grade and it was a huge mistake. I put them back in for 4th and they are now starting 5th grade and they absolutely love their teacher. This is more then just a school or church this is a family and the children feel it and thrive.

We have been going to Lamb of God for 2 1/2 years and Have started our 3 1/2 years recently. Overall this is the best school community I have ever seen and I and a retired county school district teacher of 30 years. The kindness, respect, and love shown at the school is outstanding. I would highly recommend the school to any parent wishing to attend.

The school continues to lose students because they are not up to par with other private schools in Las Vegas. I wish I would have done my homework before enrolling my child here. I believed what the administration told me and it was all smoke and mirrors.

Lamb of God is a amazing Christian School! The entire staff is one of the most amazingly caring groups of people I have ever encountered. My son feels loved by his teacher and classmates and is EXCITED to go to school every single day. As well as being a caring Christian environment, it is academically rigorous. I can’t believe some of the topics they cover, even in the younger grades, some I didn’t encounter until high school. My son is way above grade level and I know this is due to the fabulous education he is receiving. I am sorry to read some of the more negative reviews of this school but can testify that the things they complain about have never been experienced by me or my child. All in all, Lamb of God is a blessing to Las Vegas families.

My child attended log this past year however I decided to change him to another private school the staff can be rude at times and the family's are very clickish be prepared to feel this way if you are coming from a public school and the mandatory hours for volunteering is a bit much for busy parents who spend there hard earned money on this school I think it's an ok private school but there is so much better options in Las Vegas for a quality Christian education. Please do your research.

My child attended this school for Pre-K and K. I thought it was great until I moved. My child entered 1st grade in our new district behind the average and in remedial classes. I disagreed at first until I saw what the other kids were actually able to do. I reviewed the Lamb of God report card from Kindergarden and my oldest met or exceeded all measurable expectations. This is also what I recall from conversations with their teacher. This fact plus being placed in remedial courses at the new school is a measurable statistic. My youngest child is now in kindergarden in our new location and I had no idea a school would teach kindergarden kids this much, givem my past experience with kindergarden. I agree Lamb of God set the bar high for Las Vegas but, it still sells you way short. The teachers and staff were all very nice, I just believe their cirriculum was below what is expected outside of Las Vegas. I know choices are slim in Las Vegas, given the condition of public education but, I would caution you from giving them the amount of money required because, the return, measured in education is not worth it. This is only my opinion and I wish you luck in choosing a school.

Lamb of God is a wonderful school. Our daughter is in her third year. She attended part-time preschool, full day kindergarten and now is in 1st grade. Her teachers have all been patient and kind. The class sizes are small. Also, there is a wide range of after school classes such as dance and painting. I highly recommend this school.

The staff at Lamb of God is very caring and nurturing. The students learn so much and it's amazing to watch. All three of our children have enrolled in the pre-school program and their public school teachers have noticed how advanced they are compared to other pre-school programs. We are very happy sending our kids to Lamb of God. I would highly recommend them!

My children have attended Lamb of God for 5 years and I am a completely satisfied parent. I love the warm caring environment that you don't find in most schools. From the teachers my children have had to the teachers that have coach the sports teams, they have all exceeded my expectations and taken a personal interest in all of the kids they work with. The Principal is a refreshing change. She's fair and consistent. She makes herself available and is often present for line up in the morning and again for release in the afternoon. She gives the school a feel of teamwork. I am very grateful for the time we have been at Lamb of God!

Our daughter has been at Lamb of God Lutheran School since Kindergarten and we love it! We especially like the school's focus on Math, Technology and Christian Education. The children have access to computer lab, iPads are used for some tests and Promethian boards in some classrooms. The staff is amazing! Our daughter has received a top notch education. We would not hesitate to recommend Lamb of God Lutheran School.

My children have attended this school from Pre-Kindergarden through fifth grade and it has been a blessing. The faculty and staff are very good, but the principal puts the school over the top. Mrs Klipfel is amazing and I cannot imagine my children having a better head administrator overlooking them. I have peace of mind knowing that my children attend this facility every day.

You won't go wrong in choosing this school for your children. My son is in Junior Kindergarten. Everyday I am amazed with the progress he is making with his letter recognition and writing skills. Yet, these important skills are taught in a loving, patient way. My shy boy is happy and confident in this school setting. As a parent I feel safe sending my son to this school. The other parents are invested in their children and friendly. Plus, given the tuition of other private schools in the area you really get a great education with fantastic teachers for a more affordable tuition at Lamb of God.

This school has given my two children not only a great education (they are at least 1.5 years ahead of the public school system) but a graceful peace in learning about the love of Jesus Christ. I must have toured every preschool within 20 miles of my home before selecting Lamb of God for my son. Two months into the school year, I can't say enough wonderful things about It. He is learning so much so quickly, his behavior at home has improved, and most importantly, he LOVES it! His teachers are so caring and know him individually. Because we are not church members ourselves, I had some trepidation about the religious education my child would be receiving, but we have found it to be entirely age appropriate and, frankly, very sweet. Please do your child the favor of touring this school!

LOG is a fantastic school. My children have been going there for 4 years and we couldn't be happier. The teachers are fantastic and the class sizes are small. The largest class size my children ever had was 17 children. Compare that to Clark County School District and there is no comparison. There is a strong emphasis on math and reading and of course a great Christian education as well. My children are about a year ahead of the public school kids as several of my friends' kids are in public and they are doing what my kids did a year ago. Every classroom is equipped with smartboards. The computer lab is bright and cheery and my 2nd grader was doing powerpoint presentations. The principal is excellent and was named Administrator of the year in 2011 for the Southwest Lutheran Schools District. She works hard to make this school fantastic. The school also just received accreditation through the Lutheran Schools network. I do think the Spanish classes could be improved, though. They use are currently using RosettaStone software. My son's Spanish still seems so limited, but this just may be his young age. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this school with no hesitations.

Lamb Of God Lutheran School is an awesome school! We are new to town and my boys started this August. They absolutely love it! The staff members are very compassionate and love the kids. Both of our boys are striving in the educational environment the school provides. From a parents perspective, we love how organized the staff is and how we are always kept in the loop on upcoming events. We also love that the parents are strongly encouraged to volunteer and be a part of their children's education. Another plus is the smaller class size. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a Christian education with a strong academic emphasis.

My daughter has been at Lamb of God for seven years as she started in preschool. The climate of Lamb of God has not only been successfully academically, but the Christian climate has been warm, nurturing and has given my child a strong foundation. I have been a parent volunteer for years, and have worked closely with administration, teachers and support staff. Everyone has one interest in mind...Student success for all students that enter their doors! I highly recommend and rate LOG and I am sad that we will need to move forward next year as my child graduates 5th grade. My child is a strong leader, determined and intelligent all to the LOG! Lamb of God Lutheran school is AMAZING! I feel like my kid is getting a quality education every day when I drop him off. All of his teachers have gone above and beyond to help him have great days and be successful! My only complaint is that the school only goes up elementary and I have no clue what I'm going to do for Middle School without Lamb of God!

Lamb of God Lutheran School is a wonderful, nurturing school who consistantly gives back to the surrounding community through various community events throughout the school year. I have two children who attend this school and they love the teachers, staff and students. Lamb of God has taught them to be kind and caring and about the importance of sharing and giving to those in need. I love this schoo too and have become friends with many of the teachers and all of the parents of the students in my third grader's class. It is a very loving and caring environment, not just the students, but for the families as well.

My son is a student at LLOG, and our family couldn't be happier with the school. The entire staff seems to know every child. The faculty appear to love their jobs and love our children. My child has gained confidence in his own abilities, has improved his interpersonal skills, and come to love school, where before this was not the case. Lamb of God is what they say they are, which is hard to find in Las Vegas. No politics. Just school. We are active duty AF and having our kids at this school is like having an extended family. We have experience in preschool and elementary and both sides are equal in encouraging kids to realize their potential. We could not be happier in our choice of education. LOG keeps parents informed and welcomes suggestions from parents. I have never had to worry that our kids were taken care of or loved. Kind words, kind hands, kind hearts. That says it all! As far as the educational side, both of our children have grown leaps and bounds academically. In an environment that teaches love, you don't have to worry about common classroom distractions. Time is spent on instruction and play, not disciplining unruly students. Parents can pop in any time of day and the class is the same. Quiet, organized, and productive. What more could you as for as a parent? We highly recommend Lamb of God as a high quality choice in early education.

This is our daughter's 3rd year at LOG and we couldn't be happier. The teachers are great and really work with the parents. There is a family feel because the parents want to be involved and care about their children's education. The Core Knowledge curriculum is awesome and I am always blown away by what my kindergartner is learning. I am happy with the Love and Logic discipline and the challenging atmosphere because it teaches my daughter to strive for more that mediocrity and teaches her responsibility. I would recommend this school to anyone who cares about preparing their children to be kind, responsible, and hard-working adults.

This was my daughters 1st year attending LOG. forced too much on the family. mandatory minimum volunteer hours at the school. child forgets their lunch they don't feed, lunch is ordered online min 2days in advance. money hungry, if you don't pay for something on time they hound you for it. for me as a parent education and Christianity is important. but don't penalize a child for type of penmanship, spelling is more important, you tell me if all the staff as perfect penmanship I don't think so, as long as the child can write legibly and readable it shouldn't matter. school hours is great for our family as we work long hours and grave shift, however not flexible on extracurricular, would usually be on the weeknights, which we couldn't attend due work, very seldom offered on weekends. although school is convenient to location living, not sending her to this school again. on the parent involvement they offer a lot which helps the school but way too demanding and not flexible enough. the principle is great, most family members are friendly, but staff is to high nosed

This is my son's 3rd year at LOG and we couldn't be happier. LOG has small class sizes and an outstanding caring staff. My son is a full grade ahead in math and english and enjoys going to school. This year will be the start of the new Rosetta Stone Spanish program so we are excited about that as well. The principal was named administrator of the year last year and is top notch. She worked very hard to earn that reward and it shows. They use the money they have very wisely and always spend on upgrading curriculmn or adding something they didn't have before. Each class is equiped with smartboards and my son learned the basics of an Excel spreadsheet and a powerpoint presentation at the age of 6. The parents at LOG are also very involved and send their children here b/c they know the public school system is not what it should be. LOG is much cheaper than Merryhill and Challenger and they actually care about your child. Not just the money they get from each pupil. LOG is not about profits, if that was the case they would be charging a lot more. I love the religion the children get and the messages the children get from the scripture such as just being kind to others.

My daughter attended the full day Prek for 2011-2012, we were so impressed with number of things she learned. I like that the bible stories are taught to the children and Christian principles. She is already ahead of the game compared to kindergarten students in public. The only thing that was a disappointment was that they told me that they would have Spanish lesson once a week and dont recall that ever happening. Other than that the school is GREAT for the price considering Challenger is up the street and they want 2 arms and a leg for their education. My daughter is going back for 2012-2013 school year.

Lamb of God was a great school for my child! It prepares students like mine to find success at Faith Lutheran High School. The current principal in her third year was just named Administrator of the year for their district of the LCMS. (Which I learned includes all of AZ, and parts of CA and NV.) If you are in North Las Vegas or the NW area of Las Vegas and want a great, Christian School, please check them out. If you want your child to attend Faith, this is a great feeder school for them as well!

Lamb of God has been an amazing school for our children. The new core knowledge curriculum has young children studying native american tribes, the 7 continents, George Washington Carver, The Wright Brothers and many other areas as kindergarteners that then builds into Anicent Egypt, Ancient Greece, Mediveal Times, Shakepeare and it goes on and on. We love the small class sizes and individual attention the students get. The students are one grade level ahead in math (4th grade is finishing 5/6). The staff as a whole gets along great and creates a family atmosphere. I love that my children are both known by name by all the staff. The principal has done an outstanding job the last few years bringing many improvements to the school. We look forward to our children getting to experience Rosetta Stone Spanish curriculum next year along with the continued computer curriculum Beyond Technology. We feel very blessed to have our children at this wonderful school.

Lamb of God Lutheran School has wonderful teachers and a low student/teacher ratio. The school offers a challenging academic program in a loving, Christian environment. It offers the latest technology in the classrooms such as up to date computers and promethium boards. The school embraces a caring, safe environment for the children. The community of the school is like one big family. My 2 children have been enrolled in the preschool and elementary school for 5 years now and wouldn't dream of sending them anywhere else. We love Lamb of God and we know they are getting the best education.

My son has attended Lamb of God since preschool (4K). Originally, we had planned for him to attend kindergarten at the public school in our area. We were impressed by the preschool and deterred by the public school kindergarten class sizes so we decided to continue his education at Lamb of God for just one more year. Once again, we were so impressed with the curriculum and the school staff that we decided to continue our son's education into first grade, which is were he is at the present time. By the second month of kindergarten, our son was reading and by the end of kindergarten, he was reading chapter books. Both of his teachers for kindergarten and first grade are so supportive of any of his needs and truly care about all of the students succeeding. Also, I love the school having a christian atmosphere.

I don't believe that this review is accurate. "I love the new Core Curriculum and the specials at the school. My child is exposed to Art, Spanish, Science Lab, and others." My child is not as exposed to... Art, and Spanish as mentioned in the prior statement, and we have yet to see a Science lab on the campus. I can verify that my child's lunchbox often comes back home full, she is limited on bathroom breaks during class time and rarely washes her hands during the day (including lunch). The interactive white boards are a great asset to any classroom, if they were used other than a projection screen. The teacher/student ratio is better than public. If your child needs extra attention academically or behaviorly... the school does not have the resources to help. LOG does have some great teachers, but they also have some not so great teachers. If you have a child that is an auditory or visual learner they should do fine (1-5).

This school has definitely had it's tug of war between elementary and preschool. They have had to "clean house" & hopefully refocus as a whole. From other reviews, it's obvious there is a great deal of bitterness. I know my child's education has never suffered. It was a bit frustrating to watch adults behave like children. There was a great deal of animosity before, & the preschool principal left to open her own school. Some of the preschool teachers followed her, but that doesn't mean that the existing staff is not excellent. I don't know of any teacher who has not sent their kids to LOG if they could afford it. My child consistently scores way above average when compared with the same grade across the country. She has attended since preschool and only has a few years left. Whatever troubles existed, never affected my child's education. I was one of the furious parents when the tug of war was happening, but I kept my child there cautiously and watched to make sure it did not affect the quality of her education. It did not. It's a small school. People are passionate when it comes to their kids. Give it a try, and if it works for you, then great. If it doesn't, then leave.

Lamb of God has a highly experienced staff and principal who truly care about students and their education. My child has received an exemplary education and is advanced compared to peers. The school features a caring Christian environment combined with the Core Curriculum, technology and extra curricular activities. I would encourage anyone looking for a private school in the northwestern valley to consider Lamb of God.

My children have attended Lamb of God from preschool and now into the elementary school. I am very impressed with the teachers and prinicipal. It is a very loving enviroment and the teachers know and care about all of the students even if they are not in their class. We are impressed with the curriculum and the school's focus on technology. The school is helping our family to instill Christian values to our children. Most parents are very involved in the school. We recommended LOG to two families this year and they will be starting at the preschool in the fall. We stay because our kids love going to school everyday and we are very happy with their academic achievements and progress.

My child came to Lamb of God in 5th grade after attending public school for years. She was so far behind in all areas and very shy and withdrawn. Thanks to extra care and help from her teacher, within a few months, she was catching up and and had made many friends. She got involved with the sports and after school activities and went from hating school, to loving it and coming home telling me everything she had learned! She left 5th grade a different student than when she had started and I am so thankful to her wonderful teacher and Lamb of God.

Lamb of God Elementary School has quality, caring educators and a very experienced principal. For these reasons and the support of the new pastor, the elementary school will continue to thrive. The recent additions of Core Curriculum and white boards will enhance these positive attributes. The teacher-student ratio is great. My child has been very happy at this school and scores well above the national average in standardized tests. This school is on the right path.

I love the new Core Curriculum and the specials at the school. My child is exposed to Art, Spanish, Science Lab, and others. Hilarious reading the comments... love how people either know whats going on or are completely clueless to the situation. Anyways not a bad school but defiantly not a great one, it has such great potential if the administration can just keep from tearing each other apart. With the pastor and new principal (who is now in charge of the preschool too) I think they are finally on the right track.... we'll see what happens.

The kindergarten program at this school is exceptional! The teachers are highly qualified, experienced, and love what they are doing. The teachers believe teaching is a ministry and the quality Christian education the children receive is priceless. My daughter came out of the three year old preschool class reading and has simply flourished in kindergarten this year. All the technology in the world cannot take the place of a caring and committed teacher, eager students, and supportive parents. This school is a blessing!
