I hate this school. Certain teachers like to play favorites often and often doesn't read the room. Students are often disrespectful and push and shove in crowded hallways. Certain classmates likes to do things to other students' stuff without consent. There has also been many threats to this school. Also, in some classes it doesn't feel like I'm learning/challenged.

worst school ever, first safety, which genuinely, if you're in saville you know that Saville has been threatened MANY many times over this time period (2025-2026), like in october 10th, they threatened to shoot up the school...bunch of people weren't there that day, plus there's fights every 10 days! And the staff just don't care...some stand there just watching, LAUGHING LIKE IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY?? I remember like a few days ago, there was a fight, and one of the staff members was just advising a girl who was gonna fight a other girl cause she stole someone's man. Second, learning ..but litreally halve the number of people who don't care about the subject and choose to sleep or just not pay attention... there's a bullying problem in school that the staff doesn't take care of...I was bullied for a short period of time, and the staff just dismissed ot as "teasing." i didnt even KNOW the people calling me those names...but there are some positives? My brother has austism and honestly, I've seen him grow a lot lately...! Plus, I think I remember them sponsoring the Special Olympics, and family engagement is decent, too? They host a lot of events, concerts, festivals ect...but in conclusion, i dont know WHAT the staff smokes, but some of them need to get fired (the 6th-grade student counselor too), and the safety NEEDS TO GET BETTER..DO NOT send your kids to this school (no joke)

I am in the seven grave right now and I would not go here. Theres been so much fights and its not really good with education either you already have to rent the school for them to take action if youre being bullied too entirely unsafe I wouldnt go to the school to save your children because last quarter somebody threatened to shoot the school but they did get arrested. Would not recommend going here unless you want to see fights and get a bullied a lot.

The office staff has no idea what is happening and when they THINK they know, they only know a smidge of the story. Dont dare ask to speak to the administration because theyre too busy laughing it up in doorways ignoring whats happening in their front offices. This school is quick to ask their families to do a RAVE review, communicate unnecessary information, ask us to do ANOTHER survey, or mention their open door policy but the second you ask something of them, OH NO that is not their problem, its always another departments within CCSDs problem. God forbid the principal or assistant principals handle their schools disciplinary. Thats just a tad too much to handle. Unbelievable. Id sign this a concerned parent but really Im just a parent of kids trying to survive this ridiculous school.

I can only attest to what I know thus far, and where we are is only the 2nd week of 6th grade, 2024.
My son has special needs, is classified as twice gifted, and on the spectrum while diagnosed with Anxiety and Depression.
He has difficulty in understanding cues, and requires guidance to complete tasks.
Despite this being made known to the school my son has been punished on only the 6th day of the new grade for forgetting an ID card at home which hes never been accustomed to wearing previously, by being made to eat lunch last and then had to be confined to sitting because the second part of this shameful punishment is to have your recess taken from you. To a kid with difficulty processing the world, not understanding why he's being singled out or punished for a mistake is pretty confusing.
He needs cues to turn in his work, but his ELA teacher is black n white on the matter "they need to turn it in... or get a Zero".
He attempts to hand in his work but is told "don't interrupt me", as shes addressing the class... again he has difficulties reading cues, but he's literal so when you say don't interrupt me, he will never interrupt you again to the point of not addressing you.
The Math teacher wants to help but even she admits shes only familiar with, and not a specialist in Autism. Meanwhile he's being burdened with a double accelerated math class and the expectation of performing to the schools expectations, with homework that's consistently taken 3 to 4 hours a night so far.
I dont know what this schools accolades are, but thus far my opinion is guarded considering they've shown no understanding of my sons needs even with an IEP/504, instead relying on explaining Policy on school safety as a justification for punishing a kid by making him wait to eat.
The vibe im getting so far is "we dont have the time to worry about individual needs".
Ive corresponded with his assigned case worker so we'll see what that yields but my advice so far to parents of gifted children, and I say this as a healthcare professional of 30 years, is to exercise caution, and be ready to advocate like an attorney with your ducks in a row, lest you be gaslighted with explanations of policy.

I am a former student of this school and I would like to say DO NOT go to this school . There are fights EVERYDAY! And staff does not help They dont even punish the students. They make you have a parent conference with the principal and then the day after they let those same people back into school without any punishment. The staff are rude and same with most of the teachers If you cant think it could be any worse, your wrong The teachers poorly teach their students and do NOT put enough effort into making sure that their students know what they are doing/learning.

We had a bad experience with this school from day 1. My son was physically bullied more than once and the response in regards to his safety was "there's 100 students to 1 staff, we can't possibly make sure that he stays safe 100% of the time". When I demanded to speak with the Principal, I wasn't able to....only got the "pleasure" of speaking with the asst. Principal...who dismissed and did nothing every time...which there are like 4 at the school and leads me to believe there is no actual principal. I can't believe I wasn't able to meet with him after the last straw....my son was jumped by 3 kids after school on their property and came home bloody with a footprint on his face and cuts on his head.... communication is horrible all around. No teacher bothered to tell me about anything going on in class....I found out after the fact. My son being embarrassed as to what was happening. I have a special needs son that was slated to go there and I had to fight like hell to get him to another school for safety concerns....of course in doing so, they made me waive my right to transportation....no exceptions. (I have 3 schools all starting and ending the same time. Seems like they don't make it easy to give kids a right to a safe education environment) Admin is very unfriendly. Everytime I stepped into the office, someone was filling out an incident report or waiting for police and admin sometimes weren't even present....instead 2 students....where the heck is a caring adult?? And one that knows anything?

Our son started his 6th grade year at Saville, he was originally supposed to go to Cad, but was rezoned due to us movung. My husband and I were not pleased, hesitant because of what we had heard and read about the school, but had no other option but to give it a chance. Needless to say, here we are in March, we disenrolled him, and he is now home schooled.
Reasons: safety concerns due to bullying, lack of response from assistant principal and other teachers, poor communication, curriculum and classes our son was forced to take (after multiple requests to get switched) ex. Band and guitar were denied.
Additionally after enrolling our son in a home school program and providing the lesson plan upon his disenrollment, per Nevada law in 6th grade students at a minimum should be taking math, science, English, and social studies. Social studies isnt even offered to 6th grade students at Saville, however taking two music classes apparently is important for a school year.

It is the best school I've ever gone to and I'm a former 8th grader, my scores were better than somerset's scores for me. I feel like it's the best school anyone could go to. The years just kept getting better for me and now I'm above average in math and ELA for SBAC, and for me that is pretty crazy. Hey to all the haters of the kids in the school, just because some of us are rude doesn't mean the rest of us are rude and you can give bad reviews all you want but we all at Saville stick together and stay strong! GO HAWKS!!!

Coming from California the transition has gone much smoother than expected. Roughest part has been the transition to a different grading system where your grades are determined by tests: 80%. Homework and everything else only accounts for 20%. So, if your child doesn't test well there is definitely a learning curve. I do appreciate that your child does have the chance to retake tests and redo homework until a better score is achieved. Obviously, this isn't Saville's fault...I would rate them higher if it wasn't policy though.
Posted: April 16, 2018
CCSD teaches for the test grade but not through homework that counts towards your grade. (80% test scores, 20% homework accounts for your grade). Therefore, there is very little homework that reinforces the subject matter. (The opposite problem of having too much).

For the most part they are decent, however, my son has had some substitutes who are really questionable.

What a joke of a school. By far, one of the worst schools I have gone to. And to see this school earn a 3.5 - 4 stars disgusts me since I feel that it should probably be just as low as the school's standards. You barely get taught anything and the teachers don't teach and act as if they're there just to supervise. Its the same monotonous routine everyday, little to no difference for each day. I find that the students are also very rude and those who have a sense of manners are consumed by the culture of these undisciplined students. The students need discipline and I can see just how rude the majority of the students are. Another thing that disgusts me is how a good chunk of food in the cafeteria are under cooked, including the chicken which could cause salmonella. The sanitation is okay but it could be better. In conclusion, this is possibly one of the last school that you'll want to send your children to receive an "education"

The only time when you'll hear anyone mention integrity, compassion, and respect is on the morning announcements. Pointless fillers that only a small handful of people listen to.
Posted: May 6, 2017
The teaching style is monotonous and tiresome.
Posted: January 17, 2017
Teachers do welcome communication with parents and do not exert any effort in giving children attention when they don't understand something. Phone calls and emails are ignored and the counselors are useless. My daughter has gone from strait A's and Gate student to c student and all my efforts to reach out to her teachers have failed. They are rude and defensive and I can't understand why they picked their careers. Also, they don't have any sports like track, just the usual team sports that not everybody is interested in. Especially, when there is favoritism, demeaning comments made by teachers and other students. I hate this school and can't wait for my now C student to get the hell out.

Posted: January 17, 2017

My son went here in 2007 and I thought it was great but now my daughter goes here and I'm shocked at how bad this school is!! My child has been threatened and bullied to the point of wanting to harm herself, when brought to the dean and principal all you get is they are investigating which in this school means nothing will be done, the victim will be ridiculed and everyone ends up picking n them more if they give names. I have contacted state leaders to get help and still nothing. So not only is my child getting bullied they are now trying to bully me as well!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL IT WILL DESTROY YOUR CHILDREN

I personally dislike as do many others. Seville is not clean at all. Always roaches or something in the lunch room! The teams and clubs are very unorganized and annoying. Many students are disrespectful and disruptive. Just today in physical education I was pushed and kicked in the sand because I told someone to stop cursing and picking on people. The staff is rude and is probably only there for pay. Just last week there were 12 fights. Kids losing there virginity here and there. It's disgusting. Don't even get me started on how much you have to pay just for things at the school. The only satisfactory thing there is the choice period. Aka drama, art, band, orchestra. Although the teachers don't stop the kids from doing most thing. After this week there are five weeks left and I just can't wait to leave this place. -a concerned student

"Paycheck" that's all what I see in this school. Teachers at Saville don't get the meaning of "Dedication" So disapointed about this school i solo done know how they did to ver a 7 rating. They dont encourages any student to be better, I've two straight "A's" and they always complain about how boring and uninteresting way they use to teach. How if somebody don't know how to do something teachers prefer to change the subject instead of encourage them to learn. So disappointed

I am an EX student of Saville. I graduated and am happy to be gone. There were few teachers that actually cared about what you did. the school is full of cliques based on race or religion. there is constant fights between groups. I remember there was at least 3 fights a week if not more. My first days at Saville were not welcoming, the students were often rude, and the teachers acted like I was yet another burden that they had to take responsibility. I understand that there are good reviews of the school, but lets be honest most kids don't tell their parents on what is happening at the school. and the ones that do hear about them aren't sharing the information that they need to be sharing. In all honest unless you are a Caucasian Mormon family, its no the school for you, even then the only benefits you would get is better treatment from the teachers. everything else is the same. Saville you will not be missed

I was a student at Saville. All i can say is the dresscode is BAD. You can see see through spagetti straps, those people dont get in trouble. but when some people show a little bit of their stomach, DEANS OFFICE. the staff is very mean. Most teachers are rude. Too much gossip, drama, and about 1 fight a month

I'm an eighth grader at saville and next year I will be a freshman at NWCTA, I think this school is great. There is a redoubt policy which means you can retake an assignment until you are happy with your grade so it isn't difficult to get A's and B's. Many teachers are there before and/or after school so kids can retake tests. This year so many 8th graders were failing because of 2 teachers so they created this math camp thing where. They called kids down to the library and they stayed there the whole day being taught math. But overall, this is a great school and I will miss going here.

I am an eighth grader at Saville and have been here since sixth grade. Everyone at this school is so nice except of course some of the kids. The teachers for the most part are really good, for your electives you have a wide range of electives for you to choose from. This year there was a bit of trouble with math most kids from 2 classes were falling (not mine) and to fix it they did math camp and that helped most of them go from an F to an A or B. They also have tutoring to help kids. There is also a redo policy in place, so if you or your kid has a bad grade they can retake that test or quiz as many times as they want. Overall I had a great time at Saville and will miss it here as I go on to NWCATA.

I have attended Saville for 3 years, and this year being a freshman at NWCTA. Even after four days of going to a new school, I can already compare the two. Most teachers at Saville are only there for a paycheck. There are some that do actually care, but only a fraction of them. The kids there are very disrespectful to their peers, and the teachers. Another thing is that the deans do NOT enforce any rules, besides the dress code. I myself have never been dresscoded, but it seemed to me like that was the only thing they cared about. Also, the office staff are very unfriendly and snap at you very easily. I am a straight A student, and have been all throughout middle school, but I still dreaded going there every single day. The teachers did not care for the students, the students were extremely disrespectful, and the school was also very unclean. Fights happened often, but yet, none of the kids involved would be expelled. After four days of going to high school, I saw how bad Saville really was by comparing the two schools. NWCTA was clean, friendly, and just amazing. That is how schools should be, which Saville was definitely not.

My daughter is in her third year at Saville, with absolutely no complaints. I appreciate the ongoing enforcement of school rules that is provided to make sure students are kept safe and in a pleasant environment. The ParenLink tool is wonderful! And I appreciate the teachers for staying current with students' grades

This school is terrible. I went there for 6th, 7th and 8th grade. I am now a freshman at LVA, but, boy, I have to tell you. I got bullied EVERY SECOND OF EVERYDAY since 7th grade and until the end of 8th grade, and the staff didnt even care. NOT EVEN MY TEACHERS!!!! I do NOT reccomend this school.
