The community here is one of the schools biggest strengths. Its small enough that everyone truly knows each other, and theres a genuine spirit of support. The required service hours are a great way to give back while also getting to know other families in a meaningful way.
Teachers are consistently responsive, organized, and clearly invested in their students. The small class sizes make a real differencethey allow teachers to give more individual attention and create a calmer, more focused learning environment for everyone.

We couldnt be happier with our sons experience at this private school. The academics are stellar, and the teachers are exceptionalsupportive, caring, knowledgeable, and dedicated to both academic success and personal growth.

The school also offers excellent value for the high-quality education and personal attention provided. Most notable is the strong culture of community, respect, and belonging, where students are challenged to reach their potential while feeling supported and valued.
We are very grateful and highly recommend the school.

The staff have been incredibly caring and supportive, especially when my child was going through a tough time. They were responsive and made sure my child felt helped and encouraged. I also appreciate the school's faith based curriculum and high academic standards, along with the strong college prep focus that keeps students challenged and well prepared for the future.

Our time at American Heritage Academy in Henderson has been deeply disappointing. While the school presents itself as a wholesome, values-based environment, our experience revealed a different reality.

The homework load is extremeso much so that it leaves students with very little time for anything outside of academics. Even highly motivated and organized students struggle to maintain any sort of balance with family, extracurricular activities, or downtime. It often felt like academics came at the cost of well-being.

Another major concern is the atmosphere among staff. Many of the teachers seem unhappy and overworked, which directly impacts the classroom experience. There appears to be a lack of support and genuine care for both teachers and students.

Unfortunately, we also experienced issues with the administration. The principal in particular comes across as disingenuous and at times, misleading. This creates a difficult environment for families who are simply trying to advocate for their children.

The exclusivity at this school is also worth noting. If the administration finds out you are not planning to return the following year, your family may be treated differently. Some students have even been excluded from field trips and activities because of their departuresomething that feels retaliatory and disappointing.

I would encourage any family considering AHA to look closely at all aspects of the schoolnot just the surface-level presentation. While it may work well for some, our experience was far from the warm, supportive environment we had hoped for.

We were at American Heritage Academy for 8 years. When we first attended for Kinderprep, there was very much a community and family feel to the school. Since it has been the priority of the administration to grow the school, the quality of the experience and gone down exponentially from year to year. We have noticed inconsistent disciplinary actions from one scholar to another. Questions and concerns discussed with the principal herself were left unattended to despite being assured she would handle the situation. All in all, it just felt like honesty and integrity were no longer a priority and common sense in teaching the curriculum took a backseat what the administration said the curriculum was going to be. It was no longer an environment where parents and teachers were working together, but rather a place where this is how its going to be and if you dont like it you can leave. And so we did. Its just very sad to see a place we believed in so much and loved the the community we were a part of turn in to what it is today.

This is a great school a bit heavy on the home work due to only 4 days a week but great school, great students along with a healthy culture among the staff and parents. Leadership and character are traits which are highly encouraged, my daughters started at LMCA, but this is an overall better school. There has been a problematic child my daughter has had in class who is a bit aggressive and seems to have impulse control issues. I feel the school has successfully modulated his behavior without removing him completely, having seen this I applaud the teachers and administrations diligence and effort.

Scholars are required to do homework. It relates to every lesson they have in class and helps to reiterate what the scholars learned that day/week.

Yes, definitely. All 5 of children have grown tremendously. They have developed character traits that are necessary for coping with todays society. They are taught to always be honest, to always put forth their best effort, and that they are loved.

The administration is fantastic. They are supportive and understanding. They also have a scholar government role for some of the scholars. Scholar government is an important role for the scholars. It allows them to take on leadership responsibility and learn and grow as future leaders.

We pulled one of out children from Del Webb due to bullying. No problems at all at AHA, teachers intervene quickly and there is a lot of staff awareness to bullying issues.

Excellent, nothing at all like public schools where teachers rarely care. Nevada i one of the poorest performing states. This school is excellent and at a great value. We are a mixed family of christians and muslins - our kids have not felt undo pressure for any religion. Children can opt out of bible classes if it becomes a problem.

My daughter is in pre-k and absolutely loves waking up in the morning and going to school. Her teacher Mrs Affleck is awesome and really cares. Mrs Hedden is also very active with my daughter and you can tell they both put a lot of work into teaching these little ones. Mrs Alvarez is also fantastic with the kids. Needless to say my child will be returning next year!

Best school in clark county . Teachers are caring and always willing to help. I love that they are doing Saxton math and teach cursive from 2nd grade.

Superb! Everything about this school exceeds my expectations. The teachers, students and other parents have really made the last few years enjoyable. Everybody has really made my children feel loved and accepted. The activities for the students are really over the top. Eighth graders go to the East Coast to learn firsthand about the beginnings of our country. There have been numerous theatrical productions and it is amazing how many students they get involved. I just can't say enough.

I love American Heritage Academy. My children love going to school every day. They love their teachers and what they are learning. What a novel concept! I personally love how I feel when I walk into school. I love that I can contact the teachers whenever I need to. The teachers are professional and love what they do and it shows. They are experienced, loving and many have advanced degrees. Many have been there for a long time. The school activities are well organized, amazing and it makes me so proud to be part of such a great school. I am so glad I took a tour a couple of years ago and made the switch. Seeing is believing and in a way I am glad I can "go back to school."

If you are Mormon looking to surround yourself with a community of other active Mormons this is a great school for your family. The school does seem to provide a classical education with a solid curriculum. I DO NOT recommend this school to Christians looking for the advertised "Faith Based Christian Education". This is totally false. While I respect the Mormon faith, I do find this community to be too exclusive and not inclusive with respect to Christian denominations. Intentional or not, it happens and parents should be aware of this when considering enrolling their children. What other "Christian" schools have copies of the Book of Mormon? What "Christian" school have you visited that does not have a single cross to be found? Isn't the cross the universal symbol of Christianity?

We have three children at American Heritage. Our experience has been exceptional. Everything from the education to the teachers to the environment and standards of the school have exceeded our expectations. We feel like the time spent at school is a vital part of our children's lives. Not only for academics but standards and personal character as well. We no longer feel like our children are just a "number". They are known individually for their strengths and weakness. All of the staff members know all the students. No one gets left behind or forgotten about. Everyone is there to encourage and build up the children. We love American Heritage and are so happy to have our kids there. Many thanks!

American Heritage Academy is an amazing school. My daughter went from being home schooled her entire academic career (through third grade) until she was enrolled at AHA for fourth grade. We were very concerned about her fitting in with the other children socially and academically. She has flourished at AHA! She has so many new friends and has been on the Honor Roll since day one. The staff and environment is loving, caring, dedicated and that spirit is infectious; the upper grades are mentors to the lower grades - from High School all the way to Kindergarten, and the parental commitment is unparalleled as well. We have made a firm commitment to keep our daughter enrolled at AHA until she graduates from High School. Our only regret is that we didn't find AHA in time for our 18 year old daughter to attend!

I enrolled my daughters at AHA this school year. I have been impressed with the care and consideration given by the teachers and administration at American Heritage Academy. I love the values that the school represents. Leadership, Patriotism and Faith are missing in the public school system, and this school holds these to be of utmost importance. My 1st grader is thriving and reading at a 4th grade level. She is able to decode the majority of what she reads from the Bible, and I love that they study Bible stories in school. My 6th grade daughter has changed from being a shy introvert, to participating willingly in school productions. She has made wonderful friends and doesn't feel "lost" anymore. The teachers genuinely care about "all" students. I am so glad I made the change from the public school system to this wonderful school. My children have an increased love of school, God and Country. I love the individuals they are becoming as they attend American Heritage Academy.

I recommend no one to go to this awful school. if you are not a mormon they will treat you with no respect. Also, this school is terrible because the teachers all have favorites if you haven't been at the school for along time you will treat your child badly. They say this is a christian school, but trust me it's not. All the students and staff are mormons and follow mormon rules. Don't get me started about the education my kid did not learn anything this year. Don't send your kids here you will regret it.

My sister taught in the Las Vegas School system at a title 1 school. Too many horror stories and their large classes allow the kids to get lost in the system. I am so very thankful that we found this school. The kids get an outstanding education, along with christian values. I'm not a Mormon, and have never seen the school teach anything other than basic christian values. The academy values are outstanding, and our 1st grader is reading at a 4th grade level. AHA" AHA's IOWA test rankings are outstanding. I really want to thank all of the teachers and staff for their great work and dedication.

I don't know why so much emphasis is placed on "everyone is Mormon." First of all, everyone is not, including my children and they love it. The values shown may be Mormon, but my family agrees with these so we don't have an issue. The school has high academics, loving teachers, and a fun yet challenging atmosphere. We are happy with our choice. As for the fundraising, all private schools do this. AHA at least does not make it mandatory.

My daughter went to American Heritage last year. Only for 4 months. We were disappointed. Her teacher would always misspell words. The school presents itself as a Christian school but everyone there is mormon. We felt deceived. They always try to raise money by doing fundraisers and asking for donations from parents. You'd think for the price of the tuition they would have enough funds to cover the students needs!

My two kids go to American Heritage Academy, and I could not be more happy with the school, the teachers, the administration, the curriculum - you name it. Even better; my kids could not be more happy. Not a week goes by that I am not surprised at how much they are learning, and how well they are learning it. They are receiving a complete education. Both their minds and their souls are enriched every day. For any parents out there, please check out the school. I promise you will like what you see. At this point, I cannot imagine a better place for my kids.

I can't imagine my kids attending any other school again!! They are so happy at AHA. It's priceless to find a place like this. The environment is filled with teachers and staff who care about each child. The small class sizes make it so that everyone knows my child's name. Having the personal attention from teachers is so rare. I can talk to or text them anytime I need to. I can visit the classroom and help out in the school. The other parents want the same things for their kids so we are like a family. My children are being taught to love their country and to love where they came from. Having an education based on fundamental Christian values is so rare. Starting everyday off with a prayer invites the Lord into their learning. Knowing the teachers are prayerful and asking for guidance everyday is so special. You can feel the special spirit in the building when you walk in the door. Being taught the way the founding fathers intended for our children to be taught is the best way to learn. They use classical literature that teachers morals and values. I am so happy with my choice to put my kids at this amazing school!

This school is great, and it's mostly Mormon. The class sizes are small as you get to the higher grades, when i went there were about 20 high schoolers. Their classes are fast paced and challenging, I do wish they have honors and regulars classes, but they just have honors

American Heritage Academy in Las Vegas is an incredible school! Their strong academics coupled a nurturing environment while encouraging best performance and independence. My boys love this school as do my husband and I. It broke our hearts to leave; however, our job situation required relocating outside the state. Initially we had some concerns that our different denomination might be an issue, it absolutely was not, and our boys have grown both spiritually and academically at this institution. My children relish school, yet, when they went from private to public it was a disaster. Our bright boys began to feel unintelligent and unable to learn. They grew to hate school; the halting public school paradigm was rendering its emblematic stain. AHA turned that around very quickly and it was sheer pleasure to watch our children not only fly but soar; each day brings new revelations as to depth of what they learned from American Heritage Academy. It is our fondest prayer to return back to Las Vegas and put our children back in this school.

To say that American Heritage Academy is a "great" school would be like saying that Mother Teresa was a good person.At times I find myself trying to explain the feelings I have when I see the way my daughters (1st &5th) have grown not only as scholars, but as human beings,AHA has given them the tools to be confident students and little girls full of joy,respect but mostly it has allowed them to KNOW that there is great pride to be had in the heritage of this great country that they blessed to be born in, my children feel the know the fore fathers of this great nation,because of all the rich history that is taught at AHA, I feel such pride to see my children participate in weekly devotionals as well as daily prayer, I am thankful to all the dedicated teachers and support staff that make AHA the wonderful education facility that it is. The one thing I would change if I could, would be that many more families had the opportunity to enjoy this learning institution as my children have, all children deserve a safe, loving and spiritual education. At AHA all these elements come together in seemingly perfect harmony. AND Mr.S is the biggest plus, he is a gem.

American Heritage Academy goes above and beyond. After attending several of the schools productions and events I feel deprived of not receiving a classical education. What they do with their students or "scholars" is truly an amazing sight to see them develop their character. That's what's lacking in our schools is accountability and God. I truly see the power of relying on a foundation that is solid and withstands time. The scholars here know more about our country than I do with a degree in Political Science. There is truly something to be said when you can see the results of excellent education in the process.

American Heritage Academy continues to grow in achievements, we couldn't be happier. 4 years ago we moved into Las Vegas. We had been attending one of the best private schools in the western US. We were concerned we would never be able to replace the education our child had grown to love. After attending Cornerstone Christian Academy we were frustrated, Our children, who loved school, were beginning to complain about having to attend. We were unhappy after the first few months and began to look around. This Small school, with limited funds, had a big vision. I can honestly say, American Heritage Academy is best faith based school in Las Vegas and our children love attending. The curriculum is outstanding and challenging. Our children are excelling and learning well beyond their years..I recommend this school enthusiastically! I honestly feel we now have the best Education for our children.
