Best school in New York!!! The staff, the principal, teachers and the curriculum are all very exceptional. I really love this school. Out of all the schools my children been to while we were serving in the military this one have been the best! I purposely waited to the end of the year before writing this because I'm like this school just been perfect last wait til the end to see, but Lord behold they are still doing an fantastic job!! I think we are going to stay here because this school have been a huge support, encouragement and biggest community during during our military careers. My kids teacher leave me updates and the staff are really personal with the kids. They are truly Godsend. They encourage the kids every day and my kids receive services, this school has help my children excel because of the great curriculum they have and encouraging teachers, staff, and facility!! God Bless Calcium prime school and everyone who attends.

Calcium is one of the best schools in Jefferson County, proudly working with many military families based on Fort Drum. Teachers are hard working, and their curriculum is great!!! They have many fun events for students and families throughout the year. We love Calcium!

Children are not expected to know everything on their homework. Parents don’t even know how to do the work sometimes. I’m sure it’s due to the new ways of common core.

Communication could be better between teacher and family.

There’s an effective rewards system for the children. Classroom rules and expectations Asssure children acquire valuable qualities.

The principal handles business, solves issues, and is open to improvement promptly and effectively.

My daughter was bullied and my concerns were addressed the same week. The bullying seems to have ceased.

Overall experience? I would rate it a 6.5 out of 10. There are always room for improvement on classroom curriculum as far as seasons, history, arts, music, etc.

Each year I feel my child is their teachers number one priority. They communicate openly, however I general reach out to them through email, but always get a speedy response. They're always willing to listen to my child or my concerns and address them promptly.

In the last four years I have had two children attend Calcium and every year they have never had more then 30 min of reading, practicing site words or spelling words, and a math work sheet. On occasion they will have a special project to work on.

Once a month Calcium does a "Character Counts" assembly where they reward children for making good choices. They often have guest bands, motivational speakers, even animals that come to help promote non bullying and good character among all

I have had two children in Calcium for the last four years and have had an amazing experience each year. My daughter is gifted and my son struggles. Though they don't have any gifted programs her teachers did whatever they could to make sure she kept moving forward at her accelerated pace.
On the other side of things my son struggled a great deal in every subject in kindergarten. The school wasted no time getting him the help he needed. I feel the staff and teachers went above and beyond for him every day. He is now going into second grade on grade level and in no need of the special programs.
I have had awesome teacher all four years weve attended. The staff is very friendly. It is a very large school with lots of students, however I always feel like my child is their number one priority. It can't say enough good things about my experience at Calcium Primary.

We had a wonderful experience at calcium primary school. I had two children there for two years and they loved it! Both my children left Calcium with an above average reading level.

This school is HORRIBLE! They calm to be anti bulling but once something happens with your child, they don't return calls and when they do,they lie and say its been taken care of. There is no communication between teachers and parents. They don't want to meet with you regardless of how your child is doing. I can't wait to start home schooling both of my children.

This school is seriously the worst! My son is in 3rd grade this year at this school. He is extremely advanced and the school makes no effort to teach him at his level. The school offers NO enrichment programs. Every additional program is geared toward children who are delayed. There is hardly ever communication between teachers and parents. You also have to beg them to return your call. Other than the parent-teacher scheduled appointments, they find it annoying to have to interact with you. The only teacher who seemed to go above and beyond at this school was Mrs. Pearsall. She was a wonderful teacher who actually cares about the children she teaches.

Very disappointed with this school and the way they put education on the back burner. They need to re-arrange their priorities.

I am so disappointed with the "workers" here. As I read the reviews I thought, "maybe I have the wrong school", having lived around the world, I know that each family will have their own unique experience. Our family's experience has been extremely disappointing with this school. I do believe that, from the principal to the teacher to some of the support staff this school is uninviting, culturally insensitive, and just down right unprofessional. My statements to support this are as follows: unprofessional in that they do not follow up with parents (3 weeks); culturally insensitive in that they do NOT embrace others that do not look like or are not from the local area and it is very evident! Uninviting in that they don't welcome me in as a parent, and maybe that goes back to the culturally insensitive part. It is sad and a disgrace that people act in such a manner in 2014, or that people act act like this ANYWHERE but if people don't know any better, they won't DO any better! If you are a family that is used to being involved, this is NOT the place! I have watched my son wilt as a result of being here. Kids need recess and real gym time, NOT HERE! It breaks my heart.

My youngest went to Calcium for K and 1st Grade. He love going to school every day and we never had any problems. Great school in my opinion.

This School has worked well with us to try and help my ADHD son, who has had behavior challenges. He has made improvements this year, and I attribute a lot of that to his teacher and the staff at Calcium Primary. I am sad that we have finally found a place that is willing to work with my son and now we must PCS and find a new school in another state. The only negative things I have to say are that 1) I wish that his IEP screening process woul have been started earlier in the year so we could benefit from it this school year. and 2) while my son does have issues, he is VERY smart, it would be great if there were gifted programs to offer these children, and he probably would do better if he were more challenged. All in All, I would reccommend this school to anyone, they are GREAT
