My step daughter went to school here and they were amazing to her. They helped her whenever she needed it/ wanted it. They went up and beyond making sure she was ready to college. They helped her focus to pick a great school for her and to go into the felid she wanted.

a 0 out of 10 i so disappointment in this school.

my son was not doing several assignments and they did not make me aware for several months. when i asked if we could have some sort of system that would prevent this from happening they refused to work with me. my son has an IEP and a history of making homework disappear but his IEP was ignored.

my son has been bullied and been the bully and in both cases a simple write up was all they could muster up. no lesson is learned from being yelled at,written up, and then sent to your classroom.

its not i any way effective they tell you what you want to hear to get you out the door or off the phone.

again my son has an IEP and should be in a class with no more the 20 students ,get 10 minute breaks when upset or distracted, 30 extra minutes on his test, sit close to the teacher, and in school 1 on 1 counseling. none of these were followed though he did have counseling it was group. the excuse they continued to give was they didn't know .even though we sent paperwork, his outside counselor sent paperwork, the special ed building sent paperwork, and the school was supposed to be evaluating him every quarter which we got with basically just the dates changed. they blamed us and even went as far as to say something was wrong at home.

bullies go unpunished they let it escalate until it get so bad a student is either expelled or quits for being the bullied.

People always try to encourage you to take the easy way out and not care about anyone but yourself....even if they're sick you know they deserve to be made fun of okay how about the people that really are mentally disabled? that's cruel

People don't take it seriously unfortunately. Drugs drugs and MORE drugs...people thing it's an escape to reality but what their really doing is trying to become thug-like

There is no one to talk to about your problems. Most people will smile at you but deep inside they don't really care. I hate how people try to be "heroes of justice" and put down those who are more educated than them. I'm telling you these kids are going to end up being criminals. Intelligence is shunned and ignorance is rewarded.

People make fun of people who are mentally disabled at these kinds of schools I wouldn't expect anything less to be honest.

This school has a very serious issue with bullying. If you are different or don't fit in with the "cool" kids watch out. All students don't receive the same treatment or punishments. The majority of the staff don't care and will sweep important issues under the rug. I thank god my child doesn't go there anymore! Stay away from lackawanna!
