This is a very good school. The building is 20 years old (a baby compared to almost every other school in the area) and is well designed and clean. Even though it has a big population, the teachers all work well with students as individuals and other teachers in the building know many of the other students, even if they're not in their class. The administrative team is fantastic, very visible and involved in all affairs of the school. The kids seem quite happy to be here and for good reason.

complaints...First...the decible of the annoucement system is DEAFENING! Especially on outside approach. Second...There should NEVER be a reason ONE person is at the sign out desk. There are plenty of teachers or helpers or assistant principal to take the chair. Parents have multiple children at multiple schools to pick up. To not get a second person at that desk is to show NO concern for either the students ability to think for themsleves or the responsibilties or inconvienence of both the parents and students. THIRD...the parking lot. Parents care nothing that a car already is in motion backing up to walk behind it thus not teaching safety for children to be aware of MOVING CARS. Fourth. Install a motion activated red light at the street exit due to the high weeds. It would only be activated for exiting vehicles on to William with child safety as its primary concern and not for the weeds.

My grandson attends this school and it seems wonderful. His first comment was that he loves school. The big pool is a big draw and the fact that it is seen by all reminds people it is there to be used. Since he has just started I don't have a lot of information, but so far everyone has been friendly and glad to help with questions, etc. Keep up the good work William Street School Admin, Teachers and staff! I know the children will do their part. Grandmother L
