The school can be good at first, and as growing up in the town of lockport you are required to go here.
At first the school will seem different and relaxed- But this school chooses favorites on only students who don't need help.
If you have a learning disability? 'Suck it up'
504 plan? 'You don't need that. Just try harder'
The amount of times I've heard teachers say that is outright outrageous, The school can also have it's ups like the food, any food you can think of they have it- even accommodation foods. And the after school activities can be wide open for anybody.
The school also does have it's planning problems such as switching dates last minute or removing students online passes even if they weren't used because they 'assumed' they used it today.
The 8th grade DC trip is extremely overpriced for what you get to do and is extremely disappointing, but you can have your fun.
Some staff you can get lucky with and get good teachers, but some flat out don't care whether you try or not because you will get passed on even with all 0's, but some with try to help you succeed on your academic basis and I guess that's what matters.

The homework wasnt challenging enough when my child was attending the school.

They dont push children to their potential. From my knowledge they play favorites and by doing that they ignore other students who need help.

None what so ever. They allow the students to disrespect others and dont step in to stop the situation.

they Dont have control of the students, there is a constant issue with kids fighting in school.

No they push them aside in favor of the better kids.

There is no correction in the behavior.

I love my child and take my role as a parent seriously. I have pushed my child to achieve academically but they have not acknowledge her success. My child was disappointed she didnt receive any honors. Her own peers where shocked she didnt get any recognition. What bothers me is this school is willing to pass failing students who rarely show for school. My child said to me whats the point in trying when they will pass you anyway. Why should I work hard when they are going to give the awards to the popular kids. Now that was hard to hear from a 13 year old. Thank you North Park.
