I went to this school and my children have also gone to this school. Yes, this school does have its favorites. At this school its all about who you know. I seen one of the best teachers ever loss his job because a student made up a fake story about that teacher. Total disregard for the truth on the schools behalf. Once a child gets bullied on in this school, it doesnt stop. It doesnt matter how many times a parent gets ahold of the school, nothing is ever done. This school tries to make itself out to be something that its not. They push kids through grades and never offer them help. They will just pass them to keep themselves looking good. Hopefully things will change with the new principal but its highly doubtful.

As a student at Lyme Central, I feel as though I am very lucky to go to a school as diverse and open-minded as Lyme. Students never bully each other and we are very friendly to one another. The teachers, especially Mr. G (AKA Mr. Goodhart) are super friendly and place healthy boundaries. They tell us when our conversations are getting too controversial or political! Even though we are stuck in these four walls all day.... they are the darn best four walls in the USA. Rate 11/10.

This has been the worst experience in schools that we have had. I have never seen this type of tight bonding for some while making others feel defeated. Blatant acts of favoritism in front of children and adults, intentional abuse of powers in the hopes that those won't fight or won't know better all while ensuring no opportunity for open communication for working anything out with adults so I can only imagine the same for the kids.

Hit or miss on staff understanding what needs are or if there is any joy in doing it anymore. Kids often express being yelled at and being treated worse by staff than students. Disappointing. Several teachers are amazibg at reaching out and working with families! Those few that we have had are spreading joy and hope!

Fairness of perceptions are more important that an individual child's needs. It is not about what will help a special needs child succeed but how this will make others feel.

I have a son who attends this school. I can't speak highly enough about the great teachers and administrators. You can really tell when someone is passionate about their job.

I had high expectations of this school when moving here because it is in a small town. But my expectations were not reached at all! Small town=small minded people.

If you didn't grow up in Lyme, don't send your kid to LCS. "Outsiders" are treated differently than those who have lived their whole lives in this tiny town.

I have children at this school. We recently moved to the district from a much larger school in the area. My daughter needs extra attention and this school provides everything she needs. The teachers email me and keep me updated with her progress. Since the school is much smaller we are already well known by the staff and they make us feel very welcome.

I recently went to this school until my mom left the Army. If I had a chance to go to that school again I would pack my stuff up and leave. I rate it as a five star school.
