Overall very well run. Good learning and keeping kids secure. The fun of being a kid and looking forward to going to school is daily being lost here. No encouragement to mingle with other students at any age. If they finally release energy in lunch and are loud they are stifled with a movie to keep quiet. No events ever on playground. Parent inclusion is tossed out window here by 2nd gr by most teachers. No fun being a kid here anymore. Years ago there used to be school fun games, relay races, farthest throw, 50 yd dash, that involved all students and promoting friendships and teamwork now it's just tattling that she touched me, punishments unwarranted, etc.

This school has just lost some of their best teachers to reorganizing the District. They have released some amazing, talented and motivating teachers due to budget cuts; but didn't work very hard to try and keep them either...very disappointing. The teachers who remain look/act unhappy. Our Principal leadership has floundered this year with a huge increase in bullying and violence among students. Staff behavior has even come into question. Many parents want to be involved and complain about being used as fundraisers. Parent involvement has come to mean "send us X amount of $'s for this and that." The school bars parents from many events that used to be open to all. It's changed dramatically. Alot of parents choose to drive their kids to/from school in order to avoid the violence and problems on the busses. It's not what it used to be. The administrators don't resolve any problems; they ignore them. Parents of the 5th grade graduating class this year were glad to leave this school.....truly sad.
