Very impressed. Moved here a few years ago and have seen the school from a parent perspective and a teacher perspective.
The course options are excellent and the school is a happy and well-managed institution. My child likes going to school and respects his teachers. The counselors are very helpful and responsive. If your kids are into sports, this is an incredible sports school, but if not, thats ok, too.

My child was finally diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder when we switched schools. Before that, Saratoga High School teachers and staff treated her like she was just a weirdo. One teacher literally made fun of her when she went to the restroom and another student heard it. When we moved to Ballston Spa, the teachers and staff treated her with respect and understanding. If Saratoga only wants to work with neurotypical students, they should become a private school.

Impressed with the opportunities here, after moving here from out west. Great tracks to choose from in medical, business, arts, etc.
Opportunities also in conjunction with NY universities. The school recently won state recognition for having such high achievement academically among student athletes.

this school sucks the only good things are some teachers are nice the food and there is counsleing everything else sucks they force you to go even if your sick i dont recomend this school

The principals pick and choose what theyre going to help with, not bothering to help actual victims of serious problems, instead they defend the problem children or the abusers.

Throughout my years at Saratoga high school I dealt with many problems that the school just ignored. Only specific counselors care about the students and the principals obviously only care about a select amount of problem children. There is an insane amount of bullying in this school and slightly less than half of the teachers actually care about their students. I was harassed on school campus and they promised they would deal with the person who harmed me but they never did. I do not recommend this school what so ever.

Overall poor. Moved in as a former military family with a child who probably needed to repeat 10th grade. We thought this would be a good opportunity for him to repeat 10th grade with no repercussions and get his feet under him. Unfortunately, if you aren't college bound, the counselors don't really care, so they railroaded him into 11th grade and gave him an excessive classload in AP classes that he was not ready for. He then failed, as expected - and then rinse and repeat. In the end, he could have restarted 10th grade (he was young for his age) due to our move, and finished in a total of five years and had a diploma. Instead, he was so disengaged after the first year he ended up spending a total of 6 years in high school (4 here, 2 at his original school) and no diploma - all because they were worried about making the numbers look bad by him not 'finishing on time' and going on to college in the first place.

School lacks empathy for students, teachers show blatant disregard for teaching and their students. I reccomend you don't go here try a private school.

This is an excellent high school where they have many interesting extra curricular activities - more than sports, though they have a lot of options there too. The teachers are motivated and stay after to help. There is an emphasis on safety with onsite police. Highly recommend.

I loved this school. My teachers were educated and eager to teach, with a passion for their subject. I had plenty of creative outlets available to me and the school also boosts a lot of sports teams and clubs. In every school you will find students and teachers who "don't care" but overall I loved this place. I wish I was able to send my children here.

The teachers are overall excellent. The student body is above average and we all know that peer influences are very important. There is only one glaring difficiency and that is the rationing of higher level science courses, generally 50 students and sometimes only 25 and this is with a fairly afluent and educated tax-payer base. There are at the least 100 students that could handle the advanced courses. It is not uncommon to have mid-90's science grades and not be "good enough" for honors or AP classes. A high-stakes entry exam is often included in the acceptance criteria. There are many opportunities for English and Social Studies high-level classes. I'm not sure why Saratoga does not value the sciences when we need more people trained in science to compete better globally. Our nieghboring high school in Ballston Spa has lower income students they have a better reputation for making advanced classes available to more students and supporting them to thrive in those courses.

This School would be very nice. Personally I have been to many schools because, I live in a military family. This on is by far the largest I have ever seen, and it amazes me everyday that someone isn't trampled. The halls are the worst part of the school. Also, there seems to be a lack of caring in general. To put it quite frankly, thestudents don't give a damn, and neither do the teachers or administration.
