At first when I applied to this school, I thought it would be an amazing school. I was mistaken. This school is not what youd expect it to be. You think oh, since you have to take a test to go to this school then the academics / students must be sort of good right? WRONG. It is the complete opposite. Some teachers are not that good at teaching. I have had quite a few teachers who would just camp at their desks on their laptops / phones. Its okay if its only a few times, but no they do that most of the time. Im pretty sure they can do better than that. And Im not sure who is in charge of admissions, but either theyre bad at picking or the quality of students is that bad. Also, the administration makes really weird choices that doesnt benefit anyone and is just a hassle to deal with. I highly recommend that you do not go to this school.

Hutch Tech is an amazing school steeped in traditions of excellence for over 100 years. The students are kind and hard working. The graduation rate is high, and the teachers care about their students. There are lots of clubs and sports to be involved with.

Hutch Tech has a long tradition of standing out for its education and dedication to different avenues of engineering. Tech maintains a 90% or better graduation rate each year. Hutch Tech has one of the highest student enrollments for high schools throughout the district, nearly 1200 students. The students are generally well behaved, respectful, and dedicated to their coursework and success. Tech is also a busy school. There are many activities, sports, and club that meet before and after school. Students are often in the building well past the 3:20 dismissal; I have frequently witnessed students leaving at 5pm because of their involvement in the building. I have been teaching in the building for 12+ years and I am also an alumni; I am proud of our school and the success we celebrate.

I have been teaching for 21 years and have worked in three other schools. Hutch Tech is by far the greatest high school I have worked in during my career. The students are amazing, friendly, caring, kind, smart, talented, and hard working. The teachers are committed and professional. I would send my own children to this school.

As an incoming Sophomore at Hutch Tech, Ive only been here for at least a year and so far, its been pretty great. Based on my personal experience, the teachers care about helping you pass the course and the school events are wonderful. Every time I step into this school, I feel safe. I havent experienced nor witnessed any account of bullying. Ive also developed interests in subjects Ive never thought I would like. Definitely excited for the start of the next school year!

"They allow anybody in." - Applies for students and staff, just look at the principal and how she handles things, so much unacceptable behavior their. Would never go back I would walk an the opposite side of the street just to avoid any interaction with people there. Definitely not proud to be an alumni there.
