My children were in private schools . then, I realized that I was paying a lot of taxes. I registered them to Elmont memorial. I never regret my decision. There are more resources in the public than the private school.
They went to ivy league colleges and now working for the best companies in the country.

They had, two years in a row, students that have been accepted into all 8 Ivy League schools. As well as a Model United Nations program that won in China. Not to forget to mention that have had multiple Intel finalists.

Elmont Memorial High School is an amazing school, I am going to my senior year and unfortunately had to transfer. I thought i would share my thoughts on the school. The teachers are caring, loving and they do their job. They want us to succeed. Comparing Elmont to other schools in our district we always come up at the top regarding regents and AP testing scores. We have over 100 school activities , I took apart in many including Model United Nations which has really changed me as a person, our advisor Mrs. Gilliam is one of the best teachers at Elmont Memorial and I was truly blessed to have had met her, she was not only a teacher to me but also a role model and mentor. The Principal of the school Mr. Capozzi is not like any other, his door is always open to you to help with your needs. I was on the Superintendent Advisory Club where we meet in order to see what we can do to better our school and I can honestly say that Mr Capozzi always has our best interests in mind in order to make our school safe , and a good learning environment. I played varsity basketball and volleyball although the teams werent the best the coaches were. I thank Elmont Memorial for making me who I am today.

I am a student at this school and I love it. I do very well especially cause the teachers are awesome. Teachers there are even best friends of students there. People who don't go to elmont think that the students are ghetto and give the teachers he'll and we are stupid. I think they think that mainly because most of us are black but non of that's true. The teachers get asked about it a lot by teachers from other schools and they say elmont is not bad. The kids are sooo welcoming. You can be a new student in the middle of the year and will make friends instantly. I've seen it every time we have a new student.

I can honstly say this school is good in extra activities . Educational wise. There are some teachers that care about their students and others that can care less. I'm attending this school and I'm am part of class of 2016. I can honstly say from my three years in EMHS that most teachers DOSE NOT care. They sit there and joke around with kids, making fun of them like they are all kids and no adult. (My exprience). The only time they do SOMTHING nice and make sure kids are in check is when the state or superintendent comes along. They only go hard for sports and extra activities. I believe that you need good grades then games and activities .!

Elmont memorial has a lot to offer. The faculty is great and the extended help by the teachers do nothing but push the students to do better. All of the academic departments are well rounded with the exception of the math department. The only negative thing of this school is that the students tend to take advantage and over look what they have.
