Ballard has Student Council for leadership along with other activities. Student council has once student from each class. My daughter has never received it but it is there, but I sort of wish more could get it. Ballard does have a lot of other programs available to practice leadership skills and each classroom has duties that change weekly. The only reason I did not hit strongly agree is because the main leadership tasks are severely limited to a select few.

The Special Ed program has hands on instructions with a small group setting. The kids excel in these settings with one on one instructions.

Ballard is a no tolerance school and bullying is quickly taken care of. I have heard of a few small instances, but they are always fixed quickly and professionally.

Homework and parental review typically takes my fifth grader 10-20 minutes a day minus reading which is an additional 30 minutes. In forth grade it was an average of 10 minutes. The homework is a great review of the days lessons and typically is not stressful.

I have yet to have a teacher not go out of their way to help my child understand something. I have had two kids go here for the last three years and am honestly amazed at how proactive every single teacher is. Even the office staff is amazing.

The values, morals, and empathy the school teaches the children is amazing. I know it is a parents job to teach the child these things, but the school is constantly reinforcing them through daily activities and programs. Even the walls are painted with motivational sayings about acceptance and the buddy bench at the playground ensures no child is without a friend.

We are military so this is our third elementary school for our kids. We rate it a 10/10 as the staff, classes, and education exceed our standards which I personally believe is extremely hard to do. This school reinforces all the values we want in our kids, while ensuring they are at the top of their game every day. I am sad to leave it but glad to consider them a part of our life.

Our son started Kindergarten at Ballard in September. We are blown away with the faculty and school thus far. From the superintendant, all they way down to his teacher, everyone has been so involved in the learning envirionment at Ballard. They do a great job of also keeping the parents informed of all activities and events at the school. Great job and thank you!

I can't think of one negative thing to say about Ballard. My children are getting a great education and having a wonderful elementary experience. The teachers are amazing and the atmosphere there is warm and friendly. We are so pleased that we chose to move into the SGF/Ballard school district.

I am very happy with Ballard. My 7 year old goes to this school and they really encourage respect, friendship, and helping others. I think their friendship assembly is a great ised to bring all the grade levels together in one room to offer positive news, and appreciation of students who have stood out for the month! I wish she could stay there right through 12th!
