I do not recommend this school for those receiving special education in the general ed setting. If your child is not recommended for a self contained class, they are just dumped into gen general ed with no support. The administrators of the schools do not care about those with IEPs

The principal and vice principal have no idea what they are doing. Its no better at the high school either! If I could give Sweet home middle school iand high school no stars I would.

the school is fine but they have little about people with dietary restrictions, needs, etc. so if youre like muslim (no pork), hindu (no beef), or something the main hot lunches will rarely have accommodations for you and you need to take pb&j, hummus, & chips, or something else for your lunch. sometimes they do have halal variants but its not obvious they do.

Terrible! This school gave me daughter so much trauma. She cant even go to school without having to deal with a bunch of kids bulling her and I keep contacting the school and they wont do anything about it! Overall its a 2/5 stars for me.

At first the school was nice but after a little bit the kids started to fight over little things and vaped, and the students are loud and it is hard for the teachers to teach. At first I liked the school but know I hate it and want to move.

My daughter has transition into middle school wonderfully. The teachers and staff are wonderful. My daughter was having a problem with some bullying, once I notified the school the counselor took care of it immediately. Mrs Kuom the counselor was so caring, she listened to my daughters concerns as well as mine. I couldn't of asked for anything more. She is amazing. My daughter is no longer being bullied and is enjoying middle school beautifully. Thank you:)

I have a 6th Grader at this school and she has transitioned to middle school perfectly. The teachers make learning fun and I am the proud parent of an Honor Roll student. There are many extra-curricular activities for boys and girls alike; the only way kids are bored is if they don't join. I do agree that administration needs to be present more. I think the kids doing the announcements are great, we had that in our elementary school as well.

This school is better than it seems. Overall, the faculty and staff really try to provide a great education. Science and athletics are particularly strong subjects. Extracurricular activities like the musical are and sports are heavily promoted and supported. The new principal is a bit weak -- he doesn't act on students' and teachers' valid concerns.
