All of my kids went to this school thirteen years total boys and girls. There is plenty of support for kids who have good foundation at home but need a boost in school. Weve seen two principals and they were both fine administrators and responded promptly to concerns. Good discipline in the classroom, disruptive students are dealt with accordingly. The school is the hub of a very nice neighborhood, very close knit. My kids had no problems finding friends, they had something in common and like-minded families. Active parent teacher organization.

Willow Ridge is a phenomenal school. The teachers, staff and principal are wonderful, kind and welcoming. They truly care about their students. There is a zero tolerance with bullying and they teach the students the "seven habits of highly effective people" which builds character & leadership skills. I would highly recommend this school.

My son has ADHD and although everyone has helped him improve tremendously, the principal hinders him any time he is not perfect or like the other students. He makes him feel different and not normal instead of making him feel normal and apart of the class/school and as soon as he can find something to kick them out he tries every time.

My daughter was bullied for having two mothers and nothing was done. she received malicious comments daily and even after us parents spoke of it nothing was done. The same people continued to bully her. Also one of my daughters close friends has been bullied by one person continually however even after her mother spoke to the principal he just made excuses why he couldn't help her with being bullied by that person.

The teachers are great, the councilor Mrs. Jankowski is absolutely amazing she deserves awards! The receptionist can be rude and the principal is the downfall of it all. I think he would be better fitted with older children with his current approach.

The teachers are great however the principal keeps making my kids feel like they are bad people and they will never be good enough to succeed in his eyes. As a principal he shouldn't make any child feel inferior and unable to learn which has effected my sons participation and attitude about himself.

They choose who they want to be in leadership and who they don't. It feels more like a popularity contest on who gets picked to participate in leadership rather than helping kids who are showing interest and want to learn more. My daughter was told she wasn't good enough for that class.

While the school does teach these things, I believe it is really the responsibility of parents to teach these values to their kids.

My kids have never had any issues with homework, and the school provides time for them to do some of their homework before they leave for the day.

The teachers have always been great here, and very helpful with providing information on our kid's progress/behavior in class.

Note these previous comments are from years ago. I would say that WR does seem to have a good foundation, but executes poorly in terms of running the school. Teach to common core, not the students' needs, they like the "wait and see" method here rather than early interventions, and the principal does not follow up with concerns, he will listen to them and give you a politically correct answer but you'll never get follow-up again on anything, minute or significant.
