My experience with this school has been subpar. I have never wanted to homeschool but this school and my experience have made me want to do so.

The principal here is nice but is so disorganized and has no idea how to manage the building and her staff which makes for a chaotic school environment.

A child was shoved down multiple times in gym class, rotten bananas stuffed into their backpacks, lunch stolen and nothing was done.

Both my children go to school at North and have their whole time being in the school system. My daughter is in her fifth year and my son is in his second and the teachers each of them have had have been amazing. The gym staff is awesome especially coach levine he is funny and compliments children in the nicest ways possible to make sure they do not dread coming to gym class. The principal is new and stern but she makes sure that the children have a fun environment to be in because she has children herself. The nurses office has always been attentive to my children and I have noticed the only time anyone complains about them is because their child is a frequent flyer to their office with no symptoms showing. The only negative thing I have ever experienced at all is when walking my children to school in the morning and some times in the afternoon the parents that drive their children have no common curtesy for the children and parents walking in the cross walks, the teachers/staff trying to make sure children do not get hurt and each other. They speed, rip through the parking lot and on very rare occasions bump cars with each other why'll there are children present. Other then that though I believe this school is amazing and would highly recommended it.

I am a graduate student at Columbia University conducting research. I am trying to find schools near me to observe.

My daughter has been attending this school since Kindergarten. She is now in 3rd grade. The teachers are very caring and knowledgable. I find it disturbing that a parent who isn't willing to leave their name would talk so negatively about teachers. You are a coward (mother of 4 year old with double amputee grandma) You are a coward too afraid to talk to officials at the school. If someone is treating you badly, go to the principal. Don't waste your time spewing negative comments on here. The teachers at North are very nice people who work extrememly hard TAKING CARE OF YOUR CHILDREN!!! You shouldn't believe everything your 4 year old tells you. You said it best "She's 4" That says it all. She shouldn't even be in kindergarten at 4.

This is our 3rd year at North, Kindergarden was a nightmare, 1st was amazing and 2nd started out a nightmare but now thanks to Mrs Wilson the principal the school year is looking up....We had major issues with my sons teacher he had. It ios heartbreaking when your 7 year old says to you his teacher makes him feel like hes a nobody....yeah was time for a new teacher...With the help of Mrs Wilson my son is now in Mr Lawrence's class...I love this teacher, he cares for his students and the best part is my son likes him too....I cant stress enough, If your chils goes to North and theres an issue please please please go to Mrs Wilson with the problem, shes easy to talk to and from what ive seen she will get things taken care of.

i have been going to north elementary for 5 years scince i started kindergarten and this is my first year in wiley. north elementary is a very safe and fun school. teachers are not mean and dull, but are very nice and make learning fun by playing math or other subjects of game on the smartboard instead of boring old worksheets. the pricipal, mrs. wilson is a great person, she never yells or raises her voice and the children but has a calm but sturn voice.i am very thankful for all of our extra items we have for ourschool that other schools may not have such as a computer lab, and an physical therepy room for kids with disabilities.i highly reccomened north elementary as your childs first and last elementary school.

Parents please beware. Don't let your guard down with these administrators. My five year old was forced on the wrong bus by a teacher, to be lost for several hours. The response from the principle was that we only loose a few kids a year. The most recent horror was when he was terrorized by the lunch personal because a friend gave him ice cream money. Now he is afraid to enter to lunch room. How has this place not been shut down by child protective services?
