this school isn't that great. students get in trouble all the time for the simplest things that they do not need to be punished for. The schools temputare in the school is also uncomfratbloe all year long. We spend time learning about unessesary stuff when we can learn about more important things. The school also almost has no fun stuff and any activities they do have are after school but alot of students cant stay after school.

there's bugs everywhere during spring summer and early fall because it's either way too cold or way too hot and the fans are either broken too loud to teach or non exsistent with so theres crickets mosquitoes and bees in the halls because of this almost all of the 6th grade teachers yell not help or dont teach the 7th grade teachers are genuinely nice and enjoyable but there used to be cockroaches in the band room the assistant principal heavily punishes (giving them oss iss detention in her office for more than 1 day etc) kids for no good reason (swearing, missing detention etc.) they have begun to block websites that have helped kids learn (blooket scratch etc) because they're technically games or because one or 2 kids managed to do something bad on them this school has horrendous amounts of flaws when it comes to safety the highschool had a gas leak last year and had to spend anywhere from a half an hour to a full hour in the middle school which wasn't productive in the slightest they have fired teachers that helped the students and have taken almost every single way for kids to enjoy learning (firing the AIS math teacher getting rid of the math and ela lab etc) the school also has a knack for wasting money while theyre 5 million in debt (spending almost 100 usd on a spoon and fork dispenser in the cafeteria and buying 2 christmas trees that were bigger than every other clubs tree for the drama club etc) this has gotten to the point of them lacking money for everything else like less feild trips and it's gotten to the point where kids have to now pay for their school instrument that stays in school that they arent even buying new infact they're using the old instruments from 8th graders that left to the highschool a lot of things are beginning to cost money (going to the dance certains feild trips going to school sport games etc.) they hate it when a student has something they can't look through (personal bags larger pencil cases etc) because their policy against phones is mentioned more than how to stay safe during an active shooter situation except for "just hide in the corner lock the door and be quiet" this makes it so that if a shooter does enter a class there's almost nothing a kid could do except for run away theres no protection on the doors except every teacher has a black piece of laminated construction paper that they can velcro over the window and yet they spend all this money on drama club while other feild trips are payed for by parents.

This school changed from 7-8 grade to 5-8 grade in a middle school. The kids in 5th grade change classes as others do but the teachers are wonderful. They treat the 5th graders as they are in elementary still. I have a 5th grader and a 8th grader and I can say this school is wonderful!! The teachers really take the time to make sure the kids understand and they want to help them.. They email or call you if they feel something is wrong with the child not completing the work. For kids that have disabilities the services that they offer are endless! Many kids have IEP and they gave psychologist, social worker and counselor a on hand to help kids with those problems.. School is excellent! They have many extracurricular activities for the kids too.. All sports, drama club, band, chorus.. The events that they put on are huge. The counselors make the kids feel as that's their friend not an authority figure. Any kid at any time can go visit them and talk.. The counselor will either call you or email you they talked.

My son is in 7th grade and we have had a good year...the teachers care about the kids and I have gotten phones calls to inform me about theGOOD and the bad my son has done this year. The Principal retired in Janurary which was a sad tiome for us as she was GREAT in her job BUT the Principal they replaced her with is just as good as she was. The only negative is that the students are only there for 2 years.
