I confided in a guidance counselor about being a domestic abuse victim at the hands of and was actively being stalked and harassed by a fellow student. Concerns regarding my safety were ignored and I was told to just make it to graduation even though threats against my physical safety were being made. I was also threatened with suspension for trying to avoid the people actively harassing me. When provided with proof, it was dismissed. The entire guidance staff does not care about the students mental health. They directly stopped me from getting legal justice by discouraging me from sharing my story. Theyd rather protect the reputation of the school than protect their students. The only reason I even made it to graduation was the amazing educational staff. The teachers are wonderful people and care a lot more about the students than the administrators. Its unfortunate that the amazing teachers there are over shadowed by the incompetent and horrendous leadership.

One of my friends was beat up by the SSO's. He was running to the lunchroom and allegedly hit someone, so multiple officers pinned him down and beat him. He has multiple bruises and cuts, and when he tried to fight back, he got his face slammed into the ground, and his nose was bleeding. Overall not a good story to hear from him after school. Would not reccomend for safety.

Honestly people that give it bad reviews just fall into the wrong crowd. Its a great school. With a small class, teachers can focus on your learning more in an effective way. Bullying they tell you to shrug it off but its bc the bullying is so petty they dont want to deal with it. They need to express more that these kids just need to grow up and deal with negative

They put in 0s for all missing assignments, and do not let kids participate in after school activities if they struggle in school. This does not help children, they are not leaneant at all, and this is not the time of environment youd want your child to be in.

I am embarrassed to say that I graduated from Wilson HS. For the most part, the teachers conveyed the info well and the education was decent, but that is something that can be found at any average high school. Students at this school are extremely mean and materialistic, out to socially and psychological harm those that they feel are "beneath" them. The teachers know this very well too, but choose to do nothing about it and just turn their backs. I watched many fellow classmates suffer with depression as a result, and dealt with it myself to a degree. Teachers are not just there to instruct but to facilitate student growth and development. The teachers at WHS do not even care. Allowing this kind of environment is unacceptable even by public school standards. There is also a major drug problem in this school. WHS may get all the praise because of their high graduation rates, but what good is a statistic when so many children are forced to go to a place that they emotionally dread? School should be a fun social environment where children/teens can learn and prepare for adulthood. WHS is anything but that. I would never, ever send my child to this school or even live in Wilson.
