I love the Christian school being with like minded teachers and principal.
We agree on the things that should be discussed and taught to my child.
Our teachers are very giving

Im writing this as a 23/24 exchange student at CAWNY, and heres my honest review.
CAWNY is a different school. If youre an exchange student and want a good experience, avoid CAWNY. The only purpose of international students here seems to be profit; they dont even properly check the host families (my first family had fleas and bedbugs all over the house). Once youre here, they dont care about you at all. The school is small, so you wont be able to make many friends. Half the students are closed-minded and not very motivated, and the other half are former students who got expelled from other high schools for drug use.
School lunch is not only expensive but also super unhealthy and repetitive. Every week its the same food: hamburgers, hot dogs, fried fish sticks, chicken nuggets, and pizza.
Being a Christian school, they talk about values, but some of the teachers dont live up to those values. They gossip about students like teenagers, handle serious student problems like 12-year-olds, and clearly favor their own kids (who can get away with anything without facing consequences).
CAWNY doesnt offer much in terms of academics. Classes are literally the same from 9th to 12th grade. As an exchange student, I feel like I lost a year of useful learning and that my ability to memorize and focus got worse. For example, the Spanish teacher doesnt actually know Spanish that well and acts very childishshe even corrects native Spanish-speaking students while having misspelled Spanish words on the wall.
In conclusion, I wouldnt recommend the Christian Academy of Western New York to anyone. I had a really bad experience and wouldnt wish it on anyone else.

Wonderful school. My middle school & 2 highschool students love being at this school. The environment is absolutely not toxic or unsafe. My children wish they had started here at a younger age. The teachers & staff are firm yet kind. Highly recommend...get your kids out of those public schools!

I have been very impressed with this school. The administration has gone above and beyond to help my children to not only make a smooth transition into their school but to feel at home here. They have been patient and loving, and very accommodating. A true representation of the love of Christ! I highly recommend CAWNY from an academic standpoint as well. CAWNY is a great choice for a Christ centered education!

This is the first year our children have attended CAWNY. We recently attended our first open house and we are very impressed with all the renovations that have taken place. Currently the school is located on the second floor and also uses the gym, cafeteria and aud. There are many sports offered, as well as Bible, Art, Music, Music lessons, Gym, Library, Hot lunch, missions outreaches and so much more. We love the Christ centered curriculum and integrated Biblical principals in all aspects of the school day. We know our children are being taught similar values and morals that we are teaching at home. There are no conflicting subjects that need to be undone at the end of the day, and that is priceless! We are truly blessed to have this school help us train up our children for Christ. As a bonus, tuition is affordable!

This school moved to a beautiful new campus in North Tonawanda. They are doing a excellent job in educating students! I recommend this school to anyone who desires a Christ centered education for their children. All of our children graduated from this school and are now successful adults with great jobs and beautiful families - but most important - they love and serve Him.
