Love this school. My children look forward to school each and everyday. The office staff is welcoming and I feel my kids are safe.
I love the administrators they are outside every morning welcoming the kids. My kindergartner gives the principal a high five on his way in at the front door everyday.
Love this place!

My son has attended kindergarten and it's now in first grade at this school. I personally have been extremely generous in donating to all pto and school fundraisers, class parties and projects and everything that comes our way, BUT the principal of the school, Dave Thomas and the PTO leader have made the school experience very uncomfortable and unfair for not only myself but for my son. They have made it clear that my child has an unfair target on his back, and rules only apply to certain kids. There are groups of kids that get to do what they want and the administration only torments the child whose parents speak up and don't just take everything dishes out.

This school is so bad , they allow bullying they have HORRIBLE TEACHERS there are only a handful that care . They dont care about self defense they only care about who did it last not did it first . They send kids to lunch detention for losing a pass / if it doesnt have anymore room ? They make u wait 5 minutes before going to the bathroom at the start / end of class ?? Unfair ! 0/5 stars HORRIBLE . Do NOT send your kid here !!.

My 1st grader has only been at South Buffalo Charter School for a month, but already it seems a lot better than her former school, Southside Elementary. She hasn't had the bus problems with the kids, and seems genuinely excited about learning. They use a lot of positive reinforcement from what I can tell, such as calling the parents in front of the whole class to gush about how well your child is doing. I'll update when I know more...

2 years and the bulling has gotten to the point where now even teachers are bulling my student. Administration keeps making excuses and turning the other cheek.

We LOVED this school until the Head Master took over in August of 2014. The school moral is gone. The teachers are always stressed and my son hates going to school. We will not return next year and I will not longer recommend this school to friends and family.

My daughter is in Kindergarted at SBCS. Whenever I pick her up or drop her off, the staff always greats her by name and smiles at us. Mrs. Flanagan, her teacher is wonderful! I am so happy I was able to send her to this school. I do wish they had a better sports program, but maybe in time. Also, more parents need to be involved with the PTA.
