I've never been a big fan of having 6th grades in the same building as with 7th and 8th graders. I still think that as a 6th grader they should be with elementary school. Unfortunately Depew School District is not set up that way and I am finding out that other schools are set up similarly. But I rated the school a 5 overall with our experience and other categories because all in all with this being my sons first year at the middle school his experience and ours as parents for the 2021-2022 year has been good for the most part. I feel the principal and counselor addressed with the 6th graders appropriately on their behavior to each other towards other classmates. So hopefully the picking on each other will stop. But I really do love the fact that a few of my sons teachers use the Remind app so I know what is going on in his class with homework, etc. I also really love that the school district keeps you informed through texts, emails, or calls when there is an update on anything going on. Communication is great!

Depew Middle School is the best school to go to and the teachers are the best and they have the best girls Volleyball team ever

There are no enforcement issues for bullying. Its terrible. I know 4 families who moved out of district for this reason alone.

The teacjers students are recognized in award ceremonies annually. Our other kids dont stand a chance.

This is a terrible school district if you have a special education student. Boces will transport your student to different schools annually and you will need a strong advocate to ensure all the childs needs are being met.. Sold my house after fighting for 7 years. For the taxes you woild think it would be way better. Dissapointment.
