My experience at Starpoint Middle School was absolutely terrible. I truly hope that others will not have to go through what I went through going there. I am finally in the high school after what feels like FOREVER, just for it to be the slightest bit better. The teachers don't care about their students- they're clearly just there to get their pay check and just leave. Special Education students didn't get nearly the amount of support that they should receive. The halls are always dirty and disgusting, the sewage pipes always back up, and the list goes on and on and on. The teachers were just flat out cruel to their students and provided no support whatsoever. Sure, there were a few good teachers here and there, but overall my experience at this school was horrible- and that's to say the least. I do not wish this treatment given by Starpoint on ANYONE. Good luck at this school. You go to someone for help, and all you get is a kick in the teeth! Take it from me and do not send your kids here.

I don't this this school is very great, but in my opinion, I've never been there so I cant judge anything about it. although when I have been there to pick up my 3 kids (who have been going there for 8 years) or for the class parties, the classrooms are very clean most of the time, but the hallways always have dirt and paper and pencils in them. I thank you for reading my review for starpoint middle school, and have a nice day.

Teachers indivualize students instead of grouping them together. Therefore they can see the individual strengths and weaknesses and hone in on them. This allows things to be tweaked to meet that particular students ts needs opposed to the whole group where it only works for some and not for all.

I think in our experience the level of homework given is appropriate. It is just getting them to do it when they get home. However there is a 12th period option at the school with transportation of a later bus provided. So really there is no reason not to complete it.

They believe in working together and that every child has potential. They incorporate taking responsibility for your behaviors into everyday lessons and activities. They have recognition rewards in place also.

They treat the kids with respect and helps to build their confidence by focusing on their strengths. Therefore it makes it easier to build up the if weaknesses and allows them success. The teams of teachers and other staff member have a way of providing delicate intervention and providing strong assistance and person al building skills. They do believe in every child and the Assistant Principal Mrs. Anders if very attentive and on top of any issues that may arise.
