Fort Edward is a great school district. I have had 3 children attend grades K-12, and all 3 are college graduates. Two of my children are teachers because of the wonderful experience they had with the Fort Edward teachers. As a matter of fact, this school seems to produce many teachers and I like to think it is because of the wonderful caring teachers.

Being a former student of FEHS, (Class of 1974), It saddens me that a lot of the extracurricular activities are not offered like they were during the 60's and 70's. Sports galore, baseball, basketball, football, volleyball...well i am sure you get the gist. As for clubs, language, science, bowling, golf. We were offered everything. I am sure that budget cuts have a lot to do with the lack of extras, but as I said it does sadden me. I remember at least twice a month, going to a school dance, and we had great times interacting with our classmates. I cannot speak highly enough about our administration and the teachers. These dedicated teachers did a great job, and if a student really wanted an education, and worked for it...they got it ! Our class advisors, were more than teachers, they were our friends. Kept us on the straight and narrow, took us places and even invited us into their homes. I am very proud to be an Alumnus of Fort Edward High School, and will never for get my years there.
