I live in Newcastle and have four kids. Admin is not very good at communicating at the middle school. The AP is good but the main principal is sub par. Effectiveness of admin trickles down to the teachers and the students. I think if the middle school had a better head principal then things would be better.

My boys attend NMS and they love it. The district offers extracurricular activities. The teachers use the Remind app for parental communication. The teachers are truly interested in the progress of the students! The superintendent communicates frequently to let parents know about inclement weather, policy changes, events, etc. Our former elementary school in south OKC was like a mini-prison for kids. Adults would scream at the children during lunch time. NMS values mutual respect between the students, teachers and staff.

I love, love, LOVE it here! HI! I'm Mandy and I moved here the summer of 2010 from Washington State it's really good here! I'm not used to living in a small town but it's a lot better than my old school there's barly any drama and no bullying! I would reccomend this school if your child is having issues in school because the teachers will help you and the kids there are all so nice! On my second day there I already had a lot of friends! I feel comfterble in Newcastle!!
