Great school. So far I have nothing negative to say regarding the school. They have been very polite and caring to my child. Im even surprised how many staff even know his name.
Also the safety measures they take really surprised my husband and I who were thinking of homeschooling instead.
My brother attended this school when he was little and now is an engineer with a successful career. So at least that says something.
Overall, highly recommend it.

The teachers are very effective in their positions for a few reasons. Most of them have a very extensive education background. The new teachers are mostly Teach for America teachers and come prepared for the teaching environment. When they do have ineffective teachers, the administrative staff assures they are directed down the right path and follow the guidelines for the district.

Homework is very minimal in most grades. When homework is assigned, it is usually studying for a test, reading each night, or a project that the class is working on. Most homework is reviewed in class the next day so it gives the students a chance to review their answers and make sure they are retaining the correct information.

The school has a very honest principal. He states the facts about things that are going on and tries to ensure that everyone is treated equally. The school shows its integrity with the amount of events held to support the community.

I have seen this school flourish and become part of the community. The principal and all of their staff are very helpful and try their best to ensure that each student reaches their full potential. If you would like to stay current with their current activities, please look for them on facebook.

The kids are great here and the school is kept very clean and well kept by the janitors. However, the principals are unhelpful, the school lacks many needed school supplies. When teachers try to give their extra time and all they have they are reprimanded for it because their students are not "exceptional" in the eyes of the principals. This school would be well better off under better management.

Not many current reviews of this school may be due to the fact that many homes do not have internet. The principal for the last two years is one of the hardest and most dedicated I have every seen. He is at school about 6:00 and works long days. Teachers are experienced dedicated partners who expect students to achieve greatness and will pull students up and not push them away. If you have not been inside this school the last two years, please visit, look, learn. You will love a Friday assembly that is exciting, positive, partially student lead, and designed to let every student know how important they all are. Heronville has over 900 students and ready to soar like an eagle. I am proud and happy to be a Heronville Eagle educator.
