I have had 2 grandkids that have graduated from
CHA. They played sports, they were leaders in their class. They graduated top of their classes and had dual credits so they entered college with enough credits to be sophomores. As in all schools, students get out of what they put into it. Parents seem to be heavily involved. I have watched high school football players show kindness and being helpful to the younger students. What school can you go to with open lockers, cell phones exposed and they are never stolen? They also don't allow cell phones in class. I have watched teachers from elective classes to required classes and coaches pour themselves into these kids. They do have a Christian value but isn't that why you enrolled your child into a Christiam based school? That doesn't mean no one messese up, we all do, teachers, admin, students etc. But that they talk it out and work it out and are accountable for their actions. I would say the dress code can be strict but when you know it's to teach modesty and respect for one's body,I think it's good. Who doesn't want a school not to teach self respect, respect of others and not goofing off and disrupting class, after all that's a lot of money to pay and your child not be able to learn because the teacher has to spend their time wirh disruptive kids. Nope parents want their children to be able to take full advantage of an education that some parents have to sacrifice in order to send their kids to private schools. Not all kids that go to CHA are rich brats as one person said. My grandkids parents are a firefighter and teacher, but no means are they rich. But they make sacrifices so their kids can get an Christian education. The school offers grants etc. They are not brainwashing kids, they teach the kids to think, to lead and to find a solution. We love the school.

Leadership at CHA is skewed and biased. The leaders of this school are prejudice against most people of color (non whites) who are not Christians. They lead with a stiff grip and NO tolerance to CHA's methods and belief system. CHA leaders are partial and accommodating to some people while judging other people!

CHA does not embrace learning differences amoungst their student. The school provides the Discovery program for students with mild learning difficulties. The schools expectation for the majority of the students is they excel academically in CHA's standard.

CHA requires and assigns core curriculum assignments to be completed at home as homework every school day. In the classroom the teachers are required to instruct and teach from the notebook methodology learning system leaving the students with 3-5 hours of homework every night.

The teachers at CHA have a curriculum they are required to teach in the classroom with no variation. CHA demands the notebook methodology method be taught in all courses which limits teachers from teaching a well-rounded education to their students. All learning material is biblically created, or purchased (by parents) and approved by administration. Some teachers are NOT credentialed in the subjects they are teaching. Teachers are forced to incorporate all Christian principles in their lessons and teaching material with no world view. This specific teaching style would include scripture reading, memorization of scripture, studying parables, biblical characters, stories, and reviewing other Christian authors and material. If teachers don't comply with all school policy, methods, and practices the administration will force the teacher to resign or they'll be fired.

CHA's overall character is arrogance. CHA's compassion is to accept student who will excel academically, ONLY. CHA does not provide education to students with different learning disabilities; this would compromise the overall integrity of their student body. The school respects families with high morals/values who are mostly wealthy and have the ability to fund their students education.

CHA is WAY overrated. The academics are substandard and mediocre. The class schedule is limited in choices. Students are required to attend 1-hour of chapel 5 days a week during instructional time. The school is in session half a day on Wednesday for teacher planning time...more hours loss in the classroom. Computer and technology education is trailing the public schools. The sports program is adequate; however, CHA doesn’t compete with 4A- 6A public schools. The school promotes excellence in sports; however, they are NOT competing with the very best. CHA has few clubs and activities. Their facilities and school equipment are inferior and in some cases, outdated. The board, faculty, staff, parents, and students boast of this school to justify the cost of attending. Lastly, this school deals with all the same problems and issues as the public schools, so I’m not convinced the cost is worth the inadequate education or deception they spew to the public!!!

My daughter is currently thriving at this school. She just completed her 3rd year. The structure of the classrooms is ideal for the younger kids to have a great learning environment.

I taught for 11 years in public education and the time wasted by teachers dealing with discipline or the lack thereof is not seen at CHA. Teachers have more time to teach and expectations are high. Elementary students have homework 1-3 nights a week and there are extra-curricular activities even for the young ones.

God loves us all! The staff is very aware of the interactions of the students and this is something that is addressed if anything should show signs of this behavior.

The child only has homework if school work is not finished. The exception for our childs grade is math, she has review work two to three nights.

This is an amazing school with a very unique student and teacher body. The academics are rigorous - college prep is paramount - they teach a biblical worldview in all subjects and our Christian heritage is taught in great detail. I am amazed at what my children have learned at this school. The student body is respectful and aren't struggling with teenage rebellion seen so often. Your children go to school with good kids, teachers and coaches. This school feels like the best kept secret in Oklahoma.

Although it is a great sacrifice to able to send my 3 children to this school, it is well worth the investment. This school isn't perfect (as their is NO perfect institution where sinful man is involved) but I have entrusted the care of my children to the faculty and staff here and have not been disappointed. Not all of the families/students who attend CHA are Christian...and not all hold to a Biblical World View (as evidenced by comments here from CHA drop-outs)...but the Administration and Faculty ARE believers, and go through rigorous "pre-screening" before being hired...(too bad the families admitted do not have to have the same type of screening). This school is NOT a Christian public school...it is an Academy. The work is hard, the hours are long, and the parent involment is significant. If you are looking for an easy A, stay in public school! If you are looking for a place to explore "world views", stay in public school! If you are racist, stay in public school (we DO have black students at CHA!) If you don't want to hear Jesus preached, stay in public school! I am a public school teacher and I've seen both sides.. I will never send my children to public school!!

I am an alumni of Christian Heritage Academy, as well as a parent with 2 students currently attending this school. I think when choosing a school, parents should be seeking a school that not only builds their child up for academic success but lay the foundations for spiritual success as well. My academic, professional, and spiritual success is in large part due to the teachings I received at this fine school. You would be hard pressed to find more qualified teachers, that love the Lord, and love your child, and see teaching as a higher calling. It is not a perfect environment, and with every man made institution has certainly made mistakes and moves forward to improve with the Lord's help. My children are thriving in this environment, happy to go to school, and testing off the charts in academic success. Not to mention that among the alumni I graduated with are, large business owners, oil-company presidents, lawyers, pastors, and elected government officials, as well as successful parents and community leaders. The proof is in the pudding. When choosing a school, avoid parents with personal bias's and underlying agendas. Seek out the results, interview the alumni.

I came to this school around the end of my elemetary years from a public school. In my opinion if you did not start out at CHA from the begining, (Pre-K through 1st Grade) you will a extremely hard time catching up. Everything is taught from their (higher staff) perspective and the students seem to be very sheltered from what really happens in this world. I am back in public school and have met many other students from CHA that have somewhat of the same views as I do, and after going to CHA for a year or two returned to public school also. I did not have a good experience with this school.

My son is in his third year at CHA, he started in PreK, and is now in 1st grade. My husband and I could not be happier with this school, it puts God first, and consistently turns out good students. The method of teaching works, and their ACT scores prove it. The teachers truly care about their students, and are in constant contact with the parents to keep them updated and aware of what is going on with their children.
