It has its pros and cons. One thing that I really like about the school is that it allows you the opportunity to have your children stay in the same school with each other from kindergarten all the way to high school graduation. Which initially appealed to me,. My experience with Seventh Day schools, is that my childrens education progress did stall at the school compared to other districts that weve been in, but it was progressing a bit.
My experience has been the extremes of grades I.e. kindergarten and high school, teachers are simply incredible, kind and beloved by the student body as a whole. This is true of extra curricular teachers as well. And the teachers do an excellent job. Where it breaks down is somewhere in the middle in the fourth and fifth grade areas.
I find that the teachers have less comprehensive classroom management skills and may not be truly qualified for the roles that they possess or to guide the children, both educationally and emotionally. I experienced them as anxious, unfortunately preoccupied leading to constant injury and behavior issues in those grade levels. One teacher was unobservant, and potentially unconcerned when students who are not legacy, family, or non Spanish speaking children come to them with issues. Possibly due to overwhelm, but leadership is a major factor in classroom behavior.
The cons are that its mostly teachers and their own kids, their relatives and legacy children at the school. But other children, per capita, get in trouble, receive write-ups, and admin visits more often. And enjoy a lower quality of support and protection. They have wonderful rules, of conduct and engagement, but teachers are not expected to follow them towards the children.
Our experience was being treated as outsiders despite sharing the faith. It could be good for your family. But for us, our concerns, were largely dismissed because of who the complaints involved.
It created unsafety. And I couldnt go to work, go about our family business and be confident both of my kids would be safe, heard and well cared for. Which is a must when you leave the people you love the most with someone else. Also, unfortunately, any support that were put in place were not honored or utilized after meetings. So for us, it wasnt a good fit.

Parkview is a good school with Christian teachers that truly care about seeing each child succeed, not only in their educational endeavors, but also in their spiritual journey as well. I highly recommend Parkview to any parent looking for a good Christian school for your child.

I desperately wanted my children to attend a private Christian school but thought that was way out of our league. After much prayer and divine intervention God placed our children in Parkview. I thought it wouldn't last long because I have impressionable teenagers who had only known public schools. Going from hundreds of students in multiple grades to a handful in all grades would be too difficult for them to fit in or belong. Boy was I surprised! They are thriving and God is being poured into their souls! We have been blessed with an amazing gift! We just absolutely could not be more pleased! Really some marvelous loving teachers that go the extra mile for all the children there! There are also some amazing perks that come with being enrolled at this school if you attend High School, like going on mission trips around the world during the school year. The WHOLE academy goes! Abundant blessings is all I have to say about my experience with Parkview!
