As for my 7 years in Dove, throughout elementary, middle school, and high school there have been many problems, everything that will be listed is from personal and other experiences as well.

1 Teaching. Many students do not understand most of the teachers, mainly because they are from a different country (Turkey) and have a different teaching style than what most American kids are used to. Teachers are almost never given resources, students were given a story to read for the quarter, the teacher contacted the school asking for book, only for that teacher to never receive the books, leaving the students to read online on Chromebooks, another example is in stem the teacher is not provided with the need materials. You would expect hands on activity's but you will be shocked to learn that the teacher only assigns kahoots, onshape (online 3d tool project) and even has students teach the class sometimes.

2 Safety. There are no security guards in Dove, there has been many instances where there are fights between student and teachers have been forced to intervene, most getting hurt themselves or elderly falling over. There has also been many gas leaks through the school year though no one has gone to the hospital because of it.

3 Food. Food as been a constant thing, students have never liked the food and only ate because most couldn't bring a lunch from home. As a person who as done student advocate I've done a person vote from each grade, unsurprisingly only one person from about 100 students that sighed voted as the food as "okay". I have reported this almost nothing was changed. The problem is that most, if not all of the food is frozen and shipped to the school, warmed up and served. Most of

4 Work load. Ixl as always been a thing in many school, but its another when you use it so students can teach themselves. In Dove you are expected to finish many Ixls for a grade. Teachers from all classes often give out loads of homework. I have talked to many students and they say the same things, when they get home its nothing but left over work and homework. People come to school to learn, why must they also be forced to do loads of homework after 8 hours of school, if that was the case then people would have just done virtual.

Summary: The school is mostly built on false advertisement, to much work and little reasorces, little no security, poor food quality, and little no emotional support system.

Teachers are great, kids are great. No social-emotional support, school culture (Turkish) thinks low of mental health. Special education (IEP) accommodations are often not met or addressed at all. Little security, run-down building, did not even lock doors during the school day. Multiple random people are in the building at any given time. Homeless people live behind the school. Good family engagement, they wanted good numbers to pay for the school.

This school is very bad!! I do not recommend parents sending their child here the expect us to be just like the teachers if your in one of the smarter classes they expect a lot from you and you are behind every class. Half the teachers are Turkish and it's hard to understand their accent.

So glad to be a part of the Dove family! The support they provide for our kids is one of the many aspects I admire about them. With their accomplishments in AP/Pre-AP and concurrent classes, the high school is able to provide our students with great experience in higher academic areas. The support they have towards the seniors in their college and scholarships application is also another reason I have been sending my daughter here. Thank you so much DSA HS!

DSAE is an exemplary school. Children of all ethnicities are educated in a manner that prepares them for the next level. I feel safe knowing that my children are attending a school that puts their best interests first.

The students at Dove Science Academy are some of the best behaved and helpful children that I have had the pleasure of being around. The structure of Dove helps the students be ready to interact and achieve in their lives. The classes are challenging and diverse. It is a great learning environment for the students.

This school is definitely challenging, but they truly believe that all children can learn. Students are selected for admission through a lottery and waiting list, so everyone has the same chance of getting in. If your student does get accepted, expect a lot of hard work. DSA-OKC is a college preparatory school, and that is their goal for every student-college. If you and your child are determined to put in the work necessary to succeed at the college level and beyond, then you should definitely apply for the DSA-OKC lottery.

I graduated from this school in 2012 with a full-ride to two different universities and a handful of different scholarships, alongside with some of the most talented, successful people I know. My years as a Dove Science Academy student were some of the best years of my life. At Dove, we are a family -middle school students, high school students, teachers, staff, everyone. With a small student population, I felt safe and comfortable surrounded by all the familiar faces. In addition, the teachers and administration are dedicated to seeing that we as students reach our full potential. Dove gave me more than an education - it gave me the confidence, determination, and drive to succeed in life. These aspects enhanced my learning experience and helped me develop into the confident, ambitious young adult I am. I know for a fact that if it wasn't for Dove, I wouldn't be where I am today.

This school was a entirely to big disappointment. My daughter was verbally abused by one of the most trusted teachers, yet he wasn't even fired. He is a 10th grade teacher and he said my daughter was worthless because she didn't complete any of her work, he said she would not make it any where in life. This is rediculous! I am supposed to be able to drive my child to SCHOOL and be able to trust that she will be safe. School is a place you should learn about how to be safe and seek new oppurtunities.
