They believe all children can learn and the staff is committed to finding ways to reach them. Twenty five percent of the students are special needs yet these students are making big strides in academic improvement.

The principal and the whole staff are outstanding. There is a family atmosphere throughout the whole school. They CARE about our children and work hard to provide them good education. Principal is the best I have ever dealt with, loved by kids, respected by the community and parents and she is very innovative, progressive and has turned that school around. My son loves it.

This is one of the poorest ran schools in Oklahoma City. The main problem is the administration and their inability to relate to the students, handle heightened situations, and resolve matters at the lowest possible level. The teachers seem to be intimidated by the students, and refuse to try to find out the true nature of problems with them. Students are constantly roaming the halls and staff is not to be found until there is an altercation. Where are the preventative measures to stop matters before they occur? When a report of a class being disruptive is brought to the attention of the administration by a parent you get the standard answer, "we will look into it." When you check back you find nothing has been done about the problem. The only time the staff seems to take action is when there is a fight of some kind. As I stated before, there are no preventative measures just reaction to problems. I view this school as a housing facility, not a place fit for learning. This linear structure set by whomever will never work. When you are not allowed to think and use reason to fix matters, and press this nature upon the students then they are destined to fail in the real world.

This is a violent school. Lock downs are the norm. My daughters grades have plummeted drastically since she has been here. There are too few school choices in the area. This makes it very difficult to change schools especially now that her grades have suffered. I WOULD NOT recommend this school if you can avoid it.

New principal is tough on the kids. That is what I want. Real life is tough. Fully support the administration in their effort to move forward to another level of education

Poorly managed. Administration and Faculty divided. Parental input not encouraged. New (2010) Administration openly shows arrogance toward previous Principals and teachers by downgrading and claiming all successes as their own. Three Administrations in four years, and this one is the worst.
