It's a wonderful school. It has some of the best staff, and my kids love going there.

I feel like teachers should allow kids to bring missing assignments home to do instead of doing mandatory lunch detention or mandatorials when a parent is requesting the work.

Some teachers care, theyll work with parents. Some teachers dont really care.

Too many fights, and kids out of control

Mrs. Styers is horrible, said she saw my child get bullied about his shoes and rather than stepping in to help him out, she requested that I buy him new shoes.

As a teacher at Monroney, I am thoroughly impressed with our principals and discipline. There are several schools in this district and in others (Putnam City) that do not follow through with discipline and allow students to be disrespectful. At Monroney, respectfulness is not only expected, but required. With a new principal and changes in scheduling (7 period day instead of 6; core teachers required to also teach electives) 16-17 school year has been difficult, but still much better than my experience with other schools. 90% of students that cause issues in class are coming from other schools. Often principals/teachers at MWCHS say they can always tell a Monroney kid, because they have better behavior than others. I would send my own kid to Monroney. There have been concerns in the past, but all problems are dealt with and punished appropriately.

Everyone says bullying is not tolerated. When a faculty member knows about it, it is dealt with but if we never find out or see it it is not addressed.

Most students are expected to learn in traditional methods with accommodations given when possible. Would be nice to have working/standing desks for those students who have difficulty sitting for 7 hours a day, but Oklahoma will never fully fund education to help with things like this.

New head principal this year, but still very effective with discipline and leads the school with a level head.

Students are punished when disrespectful and rewarded monthly when exhibiting positive character.

There are a couple teachers who cannot control their classroom and are unable to teach the curriculum. There are some alternatively certified teachers who only use the books and never leave the box. Most teachers give the maximum amount of effort possible, but teachers have it rough.

Most teachers only give homework if a student does not finish in class.

This is a great school my children attends. I am a very involved with my children's education and I stay in continual contact with teachers. The teachers are very friendly and are welcoming to parents ideas to help their children succeed. This is a very safe learning environment as well.

My daughter is a 6th grader at Monroney Middle School. I like this school so far. The quality of teachers is good and the principals involvement is great. I feel like the school keeps parents informed about what's happening from fundraisers to school safety and I appreciate that.

My son went to Ridgecrest for six years and pre-enrolled at Monroney in April; Monroney is not our home base school, but one week before school I was told everything was good to go for my son. Well, after attending s hoop for four days I'm informed he can no longer attend monroney. "He apparently fell through the cracks" said the board of Mid-Del Education. The whole situation was very, extremely upsetting for my son and myself.

It's a cool school and just a little bit off on the roaches. Other than that they have great staff, like Mrs.Cody and Mrs.Styers. The only thing is they hire teachers who they think would be good and hardcore. The more strict the teachers are the more students would hate the school. More teachers like Mr.Tramel, Mrs.Joesph, Mrs.Kerr etc. are teachers that are loved and needed.
