The quality of education and guidance at this school is truly outstanding. The staff are passionate, well educated, dedicated, caring and supportive to both students and their families. Children who attend are very fortunate and set up for success and strength.

Students at this school are well beyond disrespectful.

There has been too many fights and class disruptions. They let the students get away with anything.

They only talk to students and so not discipline them.

The school used to be good but then things started going completely down hill. There has been waytoo many fights, students are constantly disrupting class and vandalizing school property. They always let the students get away with anything. DO NOT send your child to this school.

If you can, please choice another school for your child. This school use to be amazing when it first opened however over the years it has declined. The admin and the teachers are great however when it comes to discipline and overall care for the children their hands are tied. No locks on lockers so items are stolen on a daily basics or kids just keep all items with them daily, no more buses for 7/8 grade so they are dismissed with a Septa transpass and on their own to get home, kids do not get expelled for bad behavior they just switch problem kids into other classes, very few options for after school activities, parent involvement is very low, etc..... It is a shame cause it could be such an amazing asset to the community instead I am watching it decline.

The entire staff from teachers to lunchroom aides are amazing. My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her time there. The special education department is phenomenal. The only significant problem we've come across is the school's bus program, it most certainly needs fixing.

I love Tacony Academy! Our family has been part of this school community for five years. I have two children in the elementary grades. They have had superb teachers, and are used to receiving top rate instruction in a safe, caring environment. All of the adults in the school, whether Principal, Classroom Assistants, Teachers, Maintenance Staff, display a caring attitude towards the children. I feel so lucky that both of my children were selected in the lottery and can attend such a fabulous, tuition-free school. Go Lions!

I've been going to this school ever since it first open and ive feel like there is alot of both , good and bad qualities. Good qualities are academics are amazing , the teachers are fantastic , and the extra curricular activities are great for students as myself. The bad qualities are that the administratives don't handle bullying or harrassment situations the way they should . They just pretty much let them off the hook and don't listen to what the students have to say. Also, from grades 6th and up are soo many people that are disrespectful and terrible to be around. Soo many fights happen within those grades that you don't feel safe. It's mostly people they pick up from the public schools. Thats why i can't wait to graduate this year. If you are sending your kids that are 5th grade and younger , go right ahead but 6th grade and older , don't bother. I say this cause i see the school is trying to improve.

This school is okay in many aspects. But I only talked to the CEO and he is really fake and snobbish feeling.

This school is great!! I'm so happy my children have the opportunity to attend TACS vs our neighborhood school which, I hear, is horrible. My children have been blessed with amazing teachers, year after year! They recieve all of their academic class needs as well as chinese, gym, music, art, and library classes, which many schools don't offer anymore. When my child has excelled academically they have challenged him even more, beyond grade level when necessary. This school has a band and chorus, after school clubs and sports. They had to let go of orchestra because they no longer had enough staff to run it. Our would be great if they brought it back! The school had a hard time securing land for a new building, but they have done what they could. They bought the building they were leasing. They have begun remodeling and its coming out great! We are proud to be a TACS FAMILY!!
