Our child has been going to Oak Park for the last 3 years and we love it. The school handled transitioning to and from virtual learning very well during the pandemic. There are some great teachers, and the principal Mr. Winkle is exceptional. He is very responsive to parents, shows genuine care and concern for all the students no matter their background. He knows the students by name and is always present at pick-up, drop-off and even on the bus sometimes. The school is always coming up with ideas to make the school experience fun and exciting for the students. Oak Park is a major reason why we don't want to move out of this area.

I currently have 2 children at Oak Park. Previously, my daughter attended 2 other elementary schools (one in PA and one in OH). I have been very pleased with the education my children are receiving. Academically, their teachers have been wonderful. Both of my children were identified as strong readers and have been given supplemental opportunities in both reading and math to help their love of learning continue to grow. Socially, though there may be some "trouble-makers" (as are present in every school), the guidance department is committed to teaching conflict resolution and anti-bullying. As far as the atmosphere of the school, I LOVE that it has a small, almost "family" feeling (especially considering the massive size of the district). Yet, there is very current technology available and continuing to be added. As far as administrative and supplemental staff - I have been impressed with each one I have met. From the nurses, the custodian, the secretaries, the Principle and beyond, the staff have been wonderful to work with and genuinely care about the students. O.P. is committed to progress & growth and their recent achievements are proof of it!

As a parent of two present students and one who is now in the High School, I could not be more pleased with the results. The prior ratings are fairly older and there have been positive changes within the school. With the retirement of the previous principal we received an excellent new one. I feel we have an excellent teaching staff along with great support personal. As a parent with 2 children with IEP's or special needs my children's accommodations have always been met. If there was ever a problem, it would be addressed and handled according with a positive resolution. I would like to see more parental involvement with activities that are held for the students. I believe there is a resolution to this and it is moving along slowly. If I were looking to move, I would not hesitate in sending my children to this school or in the North Penn District. We moved from Springfield MONTCO, I had my concerns because of the size of NPSD, but having my oldest go through Penndale and now at the High School I have no concerns for my other 2 children. I also feel that as a parent you need to be involved in your children's education , it alone is not the teachers responsibility.

My son went to this school. If your child sits quietly in their seat all day and doesn't move this is the place for them. If they have imagination and originality this is not the place. They stall and stonewall about getting any help. If you have any other choice take it.
