My mixed children both went or currently go to this school. They have not experienced bullying.
The teachers are amazing and supportive as both children had/have ieps. This is a wonderful school the small class sizes mean the teachers are move invested and care more.

My daughter used to go here. Bullying was so bad that we put her online for the rest of her sophomore year. Mine you...my daughter is NOT caucasian so of course no one cared. We transferred her to a top notch private school in NJ to complete the rest of her high school. After graduating she was accepted to West Point Military Academy where her sister is currently a Firstie (senior) there. I dont think my youngest would have ever made it there had we left her at Palisades. We would not have fairly receive good recommendations. Some of the teachers as well as the students are very, very racist. I've witness it when a teacher told the class that slavery wasnt that bad.....really.
I would NOT recommend this school to my worst enemy. Starting with the principal who did not know how many minorities is in his school. You know why, because he does not give a darn...clearly...right along with his VP and some of the teachers. Im so, so glad this chapter in our life is CLOSED. My kids are very successful once Palisades was removed out of their lives.
DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE...especially if they are not caucasian.

This school is ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE. PLEASE DON" T SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL!!! I went to this school and witnessed so much bullying; I was also bullied. These inappropriate behaviors and did nothing to stop it. This school was filled with so much racism and is known to be a redneck school for only (Caucasians). It's ironically funny that we would go over bullying every time the beginning of the school year begins, and yet when we speak up about being bullied, nothing gets done. The teachers will always side up with the bullies and never fix the problem. I would also blame half the parents for allowing their child to go to this school and to behave like this to other kids who are going through a mental health crisis as they are getting bullied by these bullies. It's very disgusting that when the teachers do see the nasty behavior and don't do anything, it makes it more disgusting that they don't get their parents involved. Not only is this school this delusionally screwed up, but they also teach us about pronouns and proper grammar, etc. And yet here is me now today, getting bashed out just because I am getting other people's pronouns all mixed up due to the LGBTQ community. If I am being honest, I had never heard of what LGBTQ was and neither was I taught that or had any knowledge about it... here I am today know a little but still not much. In school all we were taught about pronouns was "she, they, him, her, his, them" which term we learn that when you are talking about ONE specific person that is female or male gender, you refer to them as She/her OR He/him; and if we were to talk about MORE THAN ONE PERSON/ A GROUP; you refer to them as the/Them EVEN if it's some random person you don't know of, their names or their gender, you refer to them as They/Them because you don't know them. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW IN THIS WORLD WHEN SOMEONE IS NONBINARY YOU REFER TO THEM AS (THEY/THEM)??? I never knew that even existed because we don't get taught this stuff in this disgusting school. I am not trying to hate anyone in the LGBTQ community, I just wish that I had a better understanding as well as some knowledge about these kinds of pronouns based on other people's genders. The only gender I ever knew of or was ever taught of was either you're a girl or a boy. This school in general just made a lot of people feel left out and made them feel like they didn't fit in due to their race as well as for coming out from the LGBTQ.

I guess I'm the odd man out with these reviews. Either my kids are favorites or the school environment is more inclusive now because they receive positive support from teachers and administration. No complaints about their overall treatment.

We have been in the district for 7 years, coming from a town with a much larger district. My kids love this district. They have been through 1 elementary, the middle school, and the high school. They have 504 plans, which could be a bit better, but I'm pleased for the most part. My eldest was behind, academically, when transferring from his previous district to Palisades. He's now an honors student at both home school and tech school.

It is what you'd expect for a smaller district. It's no Central Bucks or Council Rock, but it's a solid district. Coming from someone who has been in more than one district, they ALL have their problems. I think Palisades issues are smaller than others. And I think some parents are biased based on politics.

as a student, this place is absolutely awful, administrators pick favorites and treat other kids unfairly, when having an issue like bullying or anything along the lines of that they do absolutely nothing to help no matter how many times you ask, if they don’t like you or aren’t one of the favorites they will go out of their ways to find reasons to suspend/ give out iss even if you did absolutely nothing wrong. half the teachers don’t teach and give work and expect us to just figure it out on your own, a chemistry teacher who works there is known for touching girls amongst other things, it took them years of complaints and harassment on his part to finally get rid of them, this school simply doesn’t care about its students, even teachers have said that the main principal here doesn’t really care he just wants everything to look good. why is this school blue ribbon when it clearly does not care for it students, has absolutely no compassion or sympathy for anyone

Racist school district. I got picked on for being half Hispanic and they always sided with the kid who initiated it (Caucasian).

I highly recommend NOT sending your child to Palisades School district, if you're Hispanic.

I attended a football game recently. The announcer described that the school supports good sportsmanship and then throughout the game played obnoxious sounds over the speakers including when the opponent was in the huddle. As a spectator it was very rude at the least and took away from watching good football game. Supporting sportsmanship, I don't think so.

Terrible school and environment of your preparing for a life outside Bucks County and the real world. Principles pick favorites and is definitely not a tight knit community like they try to make it. Not a good place if you want a bright future.

We love this school and the school district. Excellent academically, small class sizes, individualized lesson planning, creative approaches to learning, educators truly care about students and about learning.

We really loved the community feel of the Palisades School District when we first moved there. However as my children moved into Middle School and High School, this feeling changed, about the same time as administration.

After having had roles that afforded me an insider view of the district, I was greatly disappointed in what I saw. Administration was primarily concerned with making things "look good" to outsiders. Unfortunately the impact meant less educational opportunities for its students. It was ironic that a district with so much "technology" could not offer students interested in STEM, a full AP curriculum to be as competitive in college admissions. Offering MOOCs/cyber courses are not an equivalent substitute for instructor-led learning, but quickly became administration's easy/no-low cost response.

Using technology and winning awards became such a priority at Palisades that the budget was shifted to "technology" while students were being told that the district couldn't offer certain classes. Placing kids in online courses with little teacher oversight, having them learn on tablets and blogging is not an adequate education. Students still need to learn directly from their teachers, learn how to write full essays, collaborate face to face with peers, and be challenged in their coursework to their fullest individual ability.

After we moved into another school system, we were excited to have additional AP courses available, extracurricular STEM clubs, field trips and access to competitions. These are educational experiences and opportunities that Palisades didn't offer.

Unfortunately, we were also surprised with some of the educational gaps that my children had. They were "A" students at Palisades; how could this be? Palisades Course Curriculum did not align at their new school and my children had to be moved to lower levels in subjects and writing skills were so deficient that an attempt at an AP course was not possible.

When I watched Palisades' PR videos, I didn't recognize the school being described - it's certainly not the real environment that students experienced and not the impression that the community held. Palisades used to be all about the students' education, now it's just a PR dog and pony show. A real shame.

PLEASE look at the decline in this district - it trickles down & can be tracked to when Dr. O'Connell took over. The downward spiral is evident in everything from test scores to morale. Administration does not LISTEN to students or parents (even when solutions and support are offered). There is a SERIOUS disconnect between teachers and students - no respect demanded or given. We moved here because of the "Blue Ribbon" status - that is seriously outdated. The community needs to look HARD and make things right for their kids. Drugs, lack of academic extras, NO college guidance. The FEW good teachers with experience are under appreciated (I REALLY appreciate you). Strive to be the best Palisades - not to be "not as bad as some of the other schools" - direct quote from administration. Shame on you. We're moving. You won't miss us because we CARE about our kids' education.

I have had two children go through Palisades but have witnessed a decline in the way this district operates. The students are not being put first. Administration and principal have a huge disconnect with students. This district also likes to portray that they have no problems and so they are not as transparent as they like to claim. My sophmore son is bored and he hates the ernviroment so much we have decided to get him out of there and send him to private school. Changes in leadership are needed.

My kids go to Palisades and I would rate it as 1 star. This is due recent incident where the wrestling coach got suspended due lack of support by School. The community is great, but the school and it's Principal are really not out for the interests of the students

They love to coverr themselves up as a perfect school, which means they dont like to admit the drug, behavior, and learning issues. The students are disrespectful and just plain rude.It has been decided I will be switching schools next year.Both of my brothers went here, and plenty of issues accured due to this "blue ribbon school".

I didn't feel comfortable attending this school what so ever. I am a junior, and i went to palisades from 6th to 10th grade. I switched to a cyber school because i hated the environment, the students were ignorant and rude, i was never comfortable there and concentrating in a class was impossible. I feel like i learned more at my elementary school before i moved and my new cyber school then i ever have in my 5 years of attending Palisades.
