I overall had a horrible experience at brashear high school, before I get into it I wanna say that the nice thing about this place is most of the teachers, they were really nice and a lot of them were funny and engaging, aside from that the counselors are horrible, I was battling anxiety and depression my entire time there with little to no help, I was dismissed multiple times when I tried to explain I needed changes in my learning environment and eventually the counselors just seemed to completely ignore me, I felt extremely unsafe the entire time because I was expected to perform the same as all the other students while I was mentally and psychically (due to lack of sleep) disadvantaged. that's all I can really say about this school, im honestly disgusted and my life really hasn't gotten any better, I still struggle every day and my relationship with my parents was ruined because of what the counselors told them...if it weren't for the nice teachers i would rate this zero

Im so glad I took my children out of Pittsburgh public schools they dont know how to engage with the parents they do the kids wrong and they make the graduation rate of our urban youths so low they need to get rid of the whole board and staff and get them kids some real educators seriously
