Honestly, they don't give you any information before the first day of school. Literally will use your children for a PR photo before actually sending out info on the school year. They don't mail you ANYTHING. You have to use their website which seems VERY easy to hack. They will NOT let children in under the age of 5 even if they read at a fifth grade level and belong in first grade. They do NOT care about children. I moved to this district for the school and I regret it SO MUCH! My son has been discriminated against based on age (6 days too old) so they made him wait a year. Now their moving him to first grade so they denied him kindergarten. They did that.

I am new to the school and have not enjoyed my experiences here so far. When I told a teacher that my child was bored and needed to be challenged the teacher actually told me they had too many other students to worry about.

My two children attended Edgeworth Elementary for one year. We moved cross country and it was a difficult adjustment for both children. The staff went above and beyond anything we expected to welcome our family. Both teachers were exceptional. One child needed to be challenged more and my other child needed extra help. Both their needs were met promptly. I was especially impressed by the consistent communication from the teachers of the progress of both children. Telephone calls, e-mails, and notes he were continuous. The extra curricular classes such as orchestra, gym, music, and art were of the highest caliber. The PTO was wonderful and provided the kids with many special events and activities. I can not say enough good about this school. Our only regret is that we only could stay one year.

I can't understand the previous reviewers comments about a rude school. My son is currently attending Edgeworth and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this school. The office staff has been wonderfully supportive and helpful in every way. The back ground check only costs $19 and was totally painless. The teachers in Kindergarten are exceptional and my son has made amazing progress. The taxes are high, but they help keep the schools in good shape and attract good teachers. Of the two elementary schools in the district this is one I would choose.

The administration of the school and the school district leaves alot to be desired. I find the school to be controlling and hypocritical. They've put my son (and other children) on the wrong school bus; their front office staff has been exceptionally rude on several occasions. Parents cannot be involved in the school (even one time to help with the Christmas project), unless you agree to pay $100 to have a background check. The attitude of Edgeworth is symptomatic of a rude and bullying school district at large. Their academics aren't any different than most other school districts out there - although QVSD likes to think differently. Don't be swayed by the "Sewickley Factor" that you're getting a competent school district just because it is Sewickley. Expect high school taxes and rude service!

Great school! I will never move out of the district because I love this school THAT much. My sons have amazing teachers who really care and I've seen nothing but LOVE come from everyone who works there. They genuinely care and are top notch! The parents are all caring and the Principal couldn't be nicer! I wish all schools were lucky enough to be like Edgeworth.

My son attends Edgeworth Elementary School. I cannot say enough good things about this school. Everyrthing from the teaching staff, principal and facility are top notch. The kids do receive a fair amount of homework each night, but overall nothing excessive. This school is excellent at meeting the needs of gifted children, as well as those who may need extra help with the curriculum. The facility was renovated several years ago and is outstanding. You cannot go wrong with this school district as a whole. But if you do decide that a private school is a better fit for your child, there are plenty of private options in the area too.
