There have been a lot of positive changes this year at Lenape. Theres schoolwide activities, great and regular communication from the principal, and a lot of spirit. Teachers are consistently helpful!

I am a student in Lenape and the teacher are amazing but it feels like a place we're something bad is always happening. It sucks. I don't recommend.

The teachers in the school are vey nice and supportive, and while we do learn a lot, there are fun student activities. The teachers are helping me learn a lot more, and a lot quicker than previous years. We have really good counselors for support and tons of after school activities for student and family engagement, such as sports and music. There was never a violence promlen in this school as far as I remember and students are quite nice. Overall it is a 9.6/10 star school.

As a current student attending Lenape Middle School, I feel that its not the most safe environment. While the teachers are enthusiastic and the content taught is interesting, its hard to appreciate these things when theres so much hostility in the school. Its natural for there to be bullying in middle school (as much as we all wish there wasnt), but the way the school handles these situations is immature and disappointing. Ive seen countless instances where my friends have been harassed, violated, and even stalked, and the school has done little to nothing to try and stop this. The counselors do try their best, but there are almost no consequences that these bullies face due to extreme favoritism. As someone whose friend group is primarily LGBTQ+, the treatment of them that is practically ignored at this school is appalling and upsetting. Our principal has been VERY open about her political views , which now affects the students. The school system favors those who fit their agenda, and casts away those who do not. We have now had TWO teachers removed from the school due to their involvement in trying to help protect LGBTQ+ students. Every year it somehow seems like the school board gets worse and worse. I believe that every child should be able to enter their school and only be concerned for their education , not about if they are going to be viciously harassed. I am just so tired of the constant ignorance that is so incredibly prominent in not just Lenape, but CBSD in general. We should stand up for the kids and finally end this horrifying treatment.

With so many programs encouraging the students to be involved and be aware, incidents are rare, and when they do happen, parents are alerted. Students have various opportunities to learn and practice being skilled leaders.

While I am pro challenging the students, my child is content knowing the ultimate decision of going into advanced or regular was up to the student. When I asked the team leader to check in on my child, they responded quickly and understood what our intention was and effectively reached out to my child in a way that made a positive difference.

I have not heard any negative situation from my child towards her or her classmates. Again, kids in middle school can be quite into themselves and their need to hold onto friends - obviously, there are kids who grew up together and they form impenetrable bonds.

Overall, everything is as I had imagined it will be given the school district reputation. The fact that it is so close to town, the children are respectful, the teachers and administration are helpful, the activities are plentiful and the surrounding school group involvement is superior.

There's never so much homework that it becomes a chore. Teachers emphasize, it's not always the answer you get, but it's about how you get the answer.

At the open house 7th grade orientations, every teacher made it clear that they have children first both with social and academic involvement and achievement. They want the students to excel and be happy.

Of course there always kids on the fringe, but overall, the teachers set the tone and my child's response has been positive. It's a shame a few stray kids can upset the delicate social and learning environment.

Lenape is a very good school. The auditorium is smaller than Tamanend's auditorium, though. The fitness room has room for lots of skinny teenagers and teens who are active. The librarian makes the school better. She encourages reading to lots and lots of kids. Art is enjoyed by a lot of the teens because drawing is fun for school students, and even teachers. Gym is the the best because middle school does not offer recess. But I agree that elementary school is better because it has recess.
