I used to be a student here at Unami. We got a new principal. She completely changed the whole school. Some could say that she has made a positive impact on this school, but I have to disagree. Due to the strict rules, students are starting to rebel. The bullying has gotten so bad this year and students fight in the halls which leads to more bullying on social media due to videos posted. I've heard multiple complaints regarding the dress code. Teachers are also hard on the freshmen in particular claiming that they are preparing us for high school. In reality, Unami could not be more different than high school! The entire atmosphere is negative, which resulting in the students not wanting to go to school. Despite their blue ribbon award, Unami is in a downfall.

Unami has come a long way since the new principal took over 2 years ago. There seems to be less bullying and an effort to make a community of the school through the Unami United campaign. Our son has had many excellent teachers here who have worked very well with him and have had his best interests at heart. We are glad we brought him back for 9th grade here!

Unami is right in the middle and had potential they just need to tap into it! Here are the opportunities: Remember these are the most difficult years for these kids, pressure from every angle so what can you do as leaders?! Act like one at "ALL" times, no excuses! If the kitchens too hot (you no longer find your role fulfilling) get out!

I am a student at unami and let me tell you what I think of the school we have amazing teachers that are deticated but the school is very outdated and the pr ncipal is mean to students one time i was in her office for a good thing but she then yelled at me and started to accuse me of something. Also alot of the lockers kick open or don't even need a combo to get in and they don't fix it. I am not trying to be mean here this is the truth

I have had real trouble with some of the teachers and their dedication to their students. I have found it very hard to get anything other then catch phrases and glade handing when i have brought my issues to the administration. they tell you "that we really care" and "we are dedicated" but there is no feed back as to what action will be taken to help your child and then it becomes apparent that no actions have been taken. I am very disappointed in this schools administration and a few of the facility members. to be fair I have also had some very good experiences with some of the teachers. I have other children in the CB school system and have never had this type of experience before.

National Blue Ribbon Award Recipient 2010, only 3 schools in the state of PA got this award. Less than 300 schools received this award nationally! Don't need to say a whole lot more about this school, you don't get this award by accident.
